What Happens When US Pilot Fails to Land on Moving Aircraft Carrier at Sea
Welcome back to the Fluctus Channel for a feature about the most terrifying feat in the military. While arrested landings have become a commonplace procedure, the risks associated with them remain undiminished.

That E-2 hawkeye was mere inches from the water , That pilot done a very good job saving his crew and aircraft bravo zulu !
Amazing recovery by these pilots.👏🇺🇸❤️
Amazing very nice ❤❤ Have a great video ❤❤ love you
I was on the USS Constellation in the 1970's with VA-146 flying A-7Es. When an aircraft bolted more than 3 times he owed the squadron a case of beer. We had a number of pilots land in heavy storms and exit their planes shaking and covered in sweat when they were just about out of fuel, scary times for all of us.
The C130 landing and take off without using arresting cables, or catapult for take off is nuts, i expecting to see JATO rocket assisted takeoff and and landing. (they did short combat exercises on video reverse mounting the JATO rockets to stop the C130) but i dont think it was ever used in real world circumstances.
The general making the bet with a Navy Admerial that it could be pulled off risked a lot of lives for that stupid stunt. Just to say it could be done. Was a dumbass idea.
I served on the USS Ranger, USS Constellation and USS Independence. Never boring working the flight deck.
Indy, Forrestall, Kitty Hawk and aaaamen to that, like Mater my scars remind me of my moments of inattention or caaa-lumsy😊😊
I really want access to that machine shop! Not for any of the secret stuff or weapons.... but that looks like a nicer shop than any that I've worked in. Plus an auto-darkening mask is hard enough to come by. (Is an oil company going to spending that kind of money on something you can do by nodding your head to drop the faceshield).
Have a great video ❤❤ Very nice... So Bountiful
0:52 so cool Jet.😊 Is that a Satilight on the top?
A fabulous video!!! Thank you very much! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Givvv,er tha beans scotty💨🚀
I was a MR3 working in the machine shop on the USS Nimitz. Great experience and A school. This got me my tool and die apprenticeship at Smith & Wesson.
A lot of misinformation here from people who have apparently never landed on a carrier deck.
Fresnel lens: That dude was French. The consensus is the 's' is silent in Fresnel. Even the folks in Des Moines IA know that.
So you don’t have to watch a 15 minute video. When landing, right after touchdown, the pilots go full throttle for a second or two for they have the power to get back into the sky should they miss the cables or the cables break.
imagine being within 100ft of that arresting cable if it snaps while the jet is at full throttle. Be like the beginning of that movie "Ghost Ship"
When I was on the USS Independence no one was allowed on the flight deck or cat walks aft of the island during recovery operations. I notice that isn’t the case any longer. The reason for the restrictions was in case if an arresting cable snapped it could cut your legs off.
If US pilot is in trouble, he should call US Mam, at EHLW Airforce Base. Us mam will always help Frisians in this stress.
As versus one sitting still?
These are heroes. Not people with personal pronouns. Those people are ordinary like the rest of us.
Assalamu'alaikum
Hmmm....let's see.....the crew wins a trip to McDonalds ? Guess I will have to watch the vid . :O)
Women fly, repair, maintain and do every other job just as well as their male counterparts.
No they don’t, don’t have the same strength as a man so don’t even try that crap. You know why all these sissie males are trying to get into women’s sports?, because they dominate
No women S.E.A.L.S.!
Wow
Они бы еще Б747 посадили на авианосец
В фильме Банзай сажали
@@deltaangar там на самом деле в Гонконге садили в Кай-так аэропорт.
Shit happenz! Roa aotearoa nui.
Eh bien on accuse les russes ou les chinois.😂😂😂😂
Waaaaaait a minute…… woman fly these things?
And why not?
Most women I know can't back into a parking stall without hitting something. And what about slamming the car door, everytime they get out. 🙄 There you are, in your F16, driving the family to Walmart and POOOF! your windscreens gone. You'll be waiting a while for a tow truck in the Pacific ocean...
I shouldn't have to say thus, but I'm obviously joking. Some blue haired lady-boy is going to be too stupid to accommodate a sense of humor.
Yes
@@mrdyvig bro they can fly very good gtfoh with that nonsense
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
GO MR.TRUMP. AMERICA NEEDS YOU.
Been waiting to hear some slack jawed bozo from the pentagon explaining to us how the aircraft carrier and arresting gear are somehow racist
needs you in jail that is....
Niech dalej tak latają polecam od razu do nieba
Plenty of woke propaganda imbeded in this DEI video.
