Memo:
Letter 1: c-d
Letter 2: (dr-r) + (U-L)
Letter 3: L-U (opposite of U-L)
Letter 4: d-r
Letter 5: UR-U+C-D+l-ul+r OR -[(U-C+D) + (ul-l) + (dr-r)]
Letter 6: (u-c+d) + (UL-L) + (DR-R)
Execution:
dl - letter 1 with left hand (down pins), letter 2 with right hand (up pins)
R - letter 4 with left hand (down pins), letter 3 with right hand (up pins)
Note that this move is the exception to the “first letter with left hand” rule
DR - make the 2x2 UL block intuitively
\ - letter 5 with left hand (up pins), letter 6 with right hand (down pins)
UL - make the 3x2 L block intuitively
L - match everything except for the UR corner intuitively
ur - solve the rest of the clock intuitively

  • hello ! What would be your recommendation for the orientation of the puzzle when starting the memorization ? Maybe trying to orient the puzzle so that the U and C clock are at the same time or close to each other is a good option. This way the "pinky move" in the middle of the solve is less threatening. On the other hand, I feel like the memorization is already pretty hard to fit in the 15 seconds. So maybe going straight to the memorization without orienting the puzzle might be a good option.

    @guernionleo3031@guernionleo3031 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey! I look for a few different lucky cases and my next 7 simul video will probably cover how to take advantage of them :) Regarding fitting inspection in 15 seconds, it's very possible to get well under 15 so with enough practice, orienting the puzzle will be worth it

  • Can you explain good situations? I learned 7 simul from Caleb Trelford and i'm practicing on this method. If I found pairs with edges, I will put them on U and L, then I will skip 3rd letter and counting 2nd will be very simple. And I can count 4 letters without flipping. Now my personal record was 8,16 with 21 second inspection. I'm trying to count all of pairs for 14 seconds. But I counted only 2 times for 14 seconds.

    • firstly, for this scramble, and in general, I would advise using the trick to rotate to the optimal orientation before starting memo. prioritize the orientation where the center and bottom clock face's match (this skips letter 1), and the right and bottom clock matching (this skips letter 3). in this scramble, you can actually do both! and get 2 letters to be O. with that being said, I will see what u did wrong I don't see any orientation that gives you JJ for the first pair. i got JC AH ID

  • If I’m being honest, I’m not that impressed by this method. It just seems like a more complicated no-flip. and I don’t see the necessity of turning the numbers into letters for memo. It just takes a lot of time, especially for those who aren’t too familiar with memorization. Just to be clear, no hate on the method or the effort put into it, Im just showing my opinion. Feel free to prove me wrong!

    • I would agree that 7 simul in this basic form is just a more complicated version of Sheerin. Turning the numbers into letters for memo is not something that you have to do. You can check out Sukant's example solves and see his different approach to memo. As someone who had no familiarity with memorization before 7 simul, it was the biggest hurdle for me. However, it has become second nature over time and will prove useful when I start one-looking.
