Before the game, I was hearing rumors about Barcelona selling Robert Lewandowksi, some of the fans want him gone should be shipped to Saudi Arabia and Xavi needs to bench him, and while they don’t have anything left to play for since they’re out of the Champions League, they won’t win La Liga, he still scored a hat trick. Regardless of his form whether you like it or not, he’s still Barcelona’s most lethal attacker at the age of 35. At his age in a “poor season” he has 23 goals and 9 assists in all competitions. It’s true that he’s blown hot and cold and has been inconsistent, the guy still has something left in the tank. For me, he’s a victim of his own success and many people forget that he’s aging because of any other player had those numbers, we’d be praising him, but when he has those stats he’s seen as finished due to the fact that he’s been so good for so long and we’re used to seeing him score 35-40+ goals a season. We shouldn’t be ignoring the fact that there’s a massive difference in quality between the current Barcelona team and the team he was on at Bayern Munich where it was much better overall and had a far better supporting cast around him. That’s been the opposite at Barcelona, they’re a bit of a dysfunctional team and while his body language is frustrating to watch and he can be annoying at times, sometimes their attackers don’t create anything for him or their midfielders. In the attack, one of the players that they’re relying on is a 16 year old to make things happen for them in certain games. I don’t know what they should do with him, Xavi might want him sold in the summer in search of a new striker, but he still has something left to give especially since at 35, he’s not been as bad as you think he’s been.
Finally a fan who speaks the truth. I hate so many Barcelona fans who we lose one game and want the entire squad sold its the reason why xavi wanted to leave because the fanbase just critique when they have zero knowledge on how football actually works. Lewandoswki sometimes doesn't scored but he pulls defenders to him so others can score but most fans dont get that
I love him but srsly.. we cannot relay on a 36yo guy next year .. sorry we saw that this season.. on big games he ghosts, no agenda nothing against him.. he can be a bench player but we need a true striker who scores in big games.

@@jmens027 yes xavi is at fault for out defensive performance. Not sure if you watched the game but even with 20% possesion VALENCIA had some decent chances barring their two goals ofcourse. Many a times they also caught us on the break lucklilybthere was no Mbappe just saying. @zorashki You people are really still trying to argue this? I think Lewandowski's time at Barca proves fully well he ain't on Karim's level. This is his best performance since joining Barca. That alone speaks volumes to how underwhelming his role has been with this team over the course of the season.
