i loved when Firmino almost always did the fake take off the shirt celebration.
People forget this was probably the most important season we probably have had under Klopp. People moaned and moaned that we were sacrificing the cups and we should be more ambitious but top 4 was crucial at this point. It was also the season where Klopp could really work on his tactics with the team since we weren't in Europe. We ended up barely getting into the top 4 so it was a good decision in the long-term to bin the cups and focus on the league.
Anyone who says they 'binned the cups' is being way too harsh. They got to the league cup semis and were unfortunate not to get past So'ton.
Gameweek 38 Lallana and Wijnaldum scored at Anfield against Middlesborough.
No one seemed notice but Liverpool didn’t lose to any of the top six that year.

I love this season . The way we played football is my fav since Klopp came in . If only we had better defensive line and some depth we would even went for the league .
Sexiest football ever
One of the reason we were so exciting going forward was because we compromised our defensive structure for attacking fluidity. This changed after our 1-4 loss to Tottenham. Klopp implemented a more structured defensive tactic and a more conservative attacking tactic. If you look at the statistics we improved vastly defensively after this, and that was before Van Dijk came.
That month in January though 🤦🏽♂️
We were unlucky with injuries this season and also Mane left for afcon. We lost the title in january
chill. we never fought for the title, but I agree. that season was our best since 13/14
Little did they know, they will be playing in CL final from that top4 finish.

17:45 I love this goal. It perfectly demonstrates the great connection between the squad on pitch. At first, both Lallana and Origi realise he's offside, so Lallana does a little turn while keeping full control of the ball to give Origi time to track back, then he sets him off. And while the Arsenal defenders are busy signalling for offside, no one notices Gini peeling off in the centre unmarked until it's too late. The rest is basically a training ground formality.

Lallana was unreal this season, unfortunate that his career got ruined by injuries, could've been a huge player.

Maybe Adam should have left the season before the one Liverpool won the league or even earlier but I guess he will look back at his Liverpool career and the trophies he won and he wouldn't have too many regrets

It's quite amazing to think that the season after we finished 8th (in 15/16), for the first half of this season, we were on fire and in second looking to chase Chelsea for the title. However, defensively, we kinda fell apart in games. Great season and the start of the Liverpool we know and love now.
