A personal favorite of mine, and the eventual game that inspired me to start this show. Presented in cinematic form with minimal comment! Enjoy.

The beginning transition from Haden to Fitzpatrick was cleannnn
Am I not typically the cleanest 😉
Was at this game, one of the funnest/loudest games I’ve experienced. Core memory.
This is my story about the 2008 AFC Championship. Never forget it.
@@5StarMatchup I watched that with my grandmother and uncle, I actually thought McGahee was dead for a second, my uncle had the Undertaker gong as a ringtone and he played it as soon as Clark made the hit. Also, any chance you start doing your commentary on throwback videos in season? The more Steve narration the better!!

Literally the only time Tomlin’s Steelers beat the Patriots in a game that mattered. The Steelers stubbornly staying in zone contributed to Bill and Tom’s legacy more than people know
I know. If we would've developed a Man defense in the Mid 2000s we would have at least 2 more rings
@@darkshinethakid4463 that AFC title game against the Pats after Shazier got injured hurts my soul to this day. They were right there with NE, just seemingly always got outfoxed. Also imagine taking that offense then and adding it to this D now. We’d never lose!
@@countof3everybodyOD we would NEVER LOSE ITS funny how we are either hot on D for a year and cold on O for a year then it flips
@@suuaveal1775 so frustrating bc 2017 the offense was still elite and the defense was becoming a top 10 unit and then Shazier got hurt. Just so sad
@countof3everybodyod • Go back and watch the 2011 game that Tomlin's Steelers won 25-17....Pittsburgh played man to man the entire game
First time im not afraid of The Patriots
💪💪💪💪💪
Lmfao 😂😂😂
You mean, first time it felt like they didn't cheat vs us.
@@ghostf779real.
Blessed to have Ben as my generations qb. So many great games. We had relevant football for 18 years. I tried to never take it for granted.
ya that's a stretch to say you guys were relevant for 18 years, makes more sense to say that for the Patriots tbh
@@user-73a he aint wrong tho
@@oceman5446 he is wrong
Ben 3-8 vs them. If not for some "Lucky" officiating breaks for patsies, Ben and Steelers win 2 more SB's. Conservative number
@@kentsturgill5945 stealers couldn't juice their entire team like the 70's. No wonder they suck! Ha!
I remember watching this game, I didn't believe it until Ben handled that last snap cleanly.
Watching Ben do work like this and watching Kenny Pickett makes me miss him so much.
When the "here Jaylen run it" was unstoppable
that guy had potential wish we wouldve kept him
The Patriots compartmentalized this loss and focused on their next opponent and the overall goal. A few weeks later the Pats would go on and win yet another Super Bowl (53), and the Steelers would yet again be watching from their couch.
And 2 months later...the Patriots celebrated a Super Bowl win.
Another Lance Armstrong type of celebration
Been a steeler fan since 1992 and feel blessed to have seen my team go to and win a few super bowls and i try not to ever take the teams we was blessed with for granted since i been a fan,i love my steelers.
Big Ben was the best performing QB against the patriots when Brady was there, our D always crapped the bed
Many quarterbacks performed better against Brady then Ben
@@Serp_Entineno they didn’t, statistically Big Ben was the best performing QB against them. Generally referred to as the patriot killer. Gronk was ours
@@MorningDew85 Here’s the problem when Ben had great looking stats(usually). The Steelers played the kind of football where if they won, Ben usually had a stat line like this: 22/29 for 253 and 2 touchdowns. If Ben had a stat line like this: 30/49 for 387, 3 touchdowns and 1 INT, they usually lost. The latter stat line is a game in 2010 against New England in which they were dominated all game and Ben had great 4th quarter stats to make the game look somewhat close. The Browns and Jaguars playoff games, same thing. Plays bad at the beginning and then finishes with great looking stats, in a losing effort. At the end of the day, Big Ben having Big stats didn’t always translate into wins, and usually meant he had some turnovers and didn’t play well in the first half.
This was peak football
Love your videos. Nice work!
Thank you!
Fun game to be at!
I was on a first date back when this game happened
Watching this waiting for your new episode today. Just wanted to torture myself with what a good offense looks like 😂 (also I miss Joe Haden)
Finally triumphs? Ben beat Brady the very first time when played his rookie year and also beat them in 2011….
Yep, at 0:49 says Ben was 3-8 vs New England.
3-8 you must be a steelers fan they did not win against us often
And most of it wasn't that Ben played bad against them, just stupid stuff that always went NEs way
We really needed this one, I remember that game well. Tomlin, all he wanted was to beat the pats. Pressure on the ballerina always gets it done.
Fellow Steelers fan here. Way to get me hyped for week 2. This is another reminder Brady makes a guest appearance at Heinz.....acRiSUrE STadiUm at Week 6, Here... we..... GO!
This was a great game, but it’s not the same without the commentary
I was at this game it was ctazy
Never been to a playoff game so can't really compare... But I was at this game and this is what I'd imagine being at a playoff game would be like.
Was this a playoff game?
@@williamhanley7031 season was on the line so it might as well have but but it was an actual regular season game.
Big Ben beat Tom Brady the first time he ever played against him during his rookie year. He beat the Patriots and the Eagles back to back weeks.
Ah the Jaylen Samuels game...:)
This title is incorrect. Rookie Big Ben won vs Brady & Company on the first meeting 2004 regular season.
This games gonna be a test fkr sure pats don’t look that good but we lost watt and the offense needs to prove it’s self home opener in HEINZ FIELD… and I’m excited #herewego
Jalen S had some great games.
Ben "finally" beat Brady? He did it in his rookie year ending a 21 game win streak
Why does everyone get so specific on this one lol. He lost to him a million times in between. Yes I know I was watching in 2004 too.
Barry McCockiner looked at some of the best QBs in the game in the last 15 years and noticed that opposing kickers missed more against Brady and the Patriots than anyone versus anyone else. Talk about the lucky help!
I FORGOT we had Ridley lol
Former Steelers Great
@@5StarMatchup lol
This defense was crazy if they didn't allow that long touch down it would of been 17 to 3
Steelers got this
Let's gooooooo
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS AND BEAT THEM PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!
YAAAAAA AND THEN YOU WATCHED THE PATRIOTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL
This team went on to win the Super Bowl that year!🤣🤣🤣
Jesse James caught it!
"Finally triumphs over Brady"?? Did the game in Oct 2004 not count?
3:50 instant karma. That was an illegal chip block by white and he ended up dropping the pass
It's very hard to win against cheaters. That's why this win was satisfying.
Except the Pats didn't cheat, so I don't know what we're talking about.
and yet the Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl that season.
"Cheaters never really win"
@@mrsatire9475 Well the Pats didn't cheat, and they won.
@@notoriouseagle1074 "didn't cheat" BAHAHAHA!! Good one! Now tell me they lied when they admitted it.
They still won in 2017
Ben had beaten Brady and NE in 2004 and 2011 and a non Brady NE team but still Belichick in 08.
Ben beat Brady when LaMarr Woolley was on the team and he broke the 17 straight wins streak in his rookie year too
Did not Ben beat the New England 2 times in his rookie year! Oh wait that was Cower as coach
Dammit I wanted commentary 😔
I wanted to keep it cinematic. Romo and Jim bring the vibe 😂
@@5StarMatchup ah yes, the very cinematic romo vibe. "ohhhhhh wooOOoow, (explain thing that everyone just saw), so now they're thinking about (thing that every small child watching knows they're thinking about)". put that into chatgpt and we could have romo commentate every game until the seas take us.
Back when we had a O-line😭. As much as I don't really like him now. I miss Steelers Antonio Brown, Man was a different animal
Jesse James has entered the chat.
You mean triumphs over the ref's
Bennie Benny chaulko I'm coming back after retirement of "Hines ward" is cleared for the hall of Fame they said due to the federal rap issues it's always gong to be like that to the nature of all franchise sports
Seems like AB has been gone for a decade..
THIS WASNT THE FIRST TIME BEN BEAT BRADY REMEMBER BENS ROOKIE YEAR IN 2004 BRADYS STREAK ENDED IN PITTSBURGH BEN NAILED BRADY
Also won in 2011… not the first time by a long shot.
@@jaymac508 I didnt forget about 2011 just wanted to have people remember Ben beat brafy in his rookie year so glad Ben was our QB
u c y we don't need to cheat like Brady's an coach
Brady didn't cheat
As a Steelers fan I HATE CHRIS BOSWELL SMH
He beat Brady his rookie year if I'm not mistaken...
Should change there name to new England Punks
Um…this wasn’t the first time. He beat Brady in his rookie season in 2004…and then again in 2011.
who said it was?
@@5StarMatchup it’s implied by use of the phrase “Ben finally triumphs over Tom Brady”
Not the 1st time Ben beat Brady. Not even the 2nd time
didn't say it was
@@5StarMatchupThen someone else wrote your headline? That's exactly what it says.
I ve never seen brady look that bad..
TJ Watt for the sack...of course! 🖤💛🖤😠🏆
Missing good QB play while watching this... Lol
We beat the Patriots?
Video evidence
We always beat the patriots 🤷🏿♂️
He beat him 3x
I know
@@5StarMatchup change the title
I just wish Brady would go away, to a nice beach
You and Giselle both buddy
@@5StarMatchup Hey, I don't know if you caught Ramon Foster on DK Sports show but he said it looked like Tomlin got cautious with the offense when they pulled ahead.
Why you upload this BS of a shame you could tell the refs were up to something for the Pats can’t get any more obvious smh
Are you kidding? Did you watch the video/game? The Patriots had tons of killer penalties on them
Must have missed a payment
Ben beat Brady twice before that so forget that finally stuff
What do you mean Ben finally triumph over Tom Brady. Ben beat Tom Brady the first time he played against him.
And got smashed most of the next two decades lol
