The most certain way to kill most carnivorous plants is to allow their substrate to dry out because they have evolved to live in peat bogs that never dry up completely. The info about not overwatering is for typical houseplants , not these specialized types. I have several healthy carnivorous plants in my collection, some for several years. Look elsewhere for if you want accurate information that will help you care properly for these plants.
