What I really love about this scene is that Ziya is actually being a big brother to Yaman. I think he gets dismissed so much because he is emotional and sensitive. But I love that he kept saying ‘I’m fine, I’m calm’ because it was Ziya affirming that he should be listened to. Literally the only person in Seher’s immediate circle of ‘family’ that wholeheartedly has faith in her. He is such a beautiful character!!

I have always loved Ziya, but I absolutely love him now. He is just the best. I think the way that this series shows that people that many would look down on as vulnerable and weak can in fact be the strongest when it comes to love and in relationships. I love that Ziya, the new gardener and Yusef all know and trust Seher as do Arif Baba, Cenger and Anna Nadire people again who have real wisdom that comes from knowing people and their own sufferings and life experience. It really does show that people who can be intellectually smart and have letters after their name, can be emotionally and relationally so incredibly slow to catch on to what's really going on and be incredibly gullible and easily led in these ways. I really hope he actually stops to think not only about Seher herself and what he knows and has experienced of her, but also starts to think about who are very clearly standing in her corner, backing her up, as well as those who are vilifying her, and then remember who of these groups has proved the most trustworthy in the past. He is finally I think being backed into a corner and once the truth comes out I don't think there's any doubt that he will feel not only the guilt of how he's treated Seher, but how stupid he's been in actually believing the file when every other trustworthy person has known it's garbage. I don't think anything could be more humbling to Yaman than what's about to happen.
