  • Thanks for the tips! I've chopped store bought full length feathers but I've never made my own. They are beautiful .

  • Thanks for the feather class brother! I scored some primary canada goose feathers last year and found out those glasses are a must when stripping the quill. If God doesn’t make anything imperfect, I believe our eyes should last as long as our trigger finger so I blame sin for that lol 😂

  • First off, let me say, you do it right! That’s why you are making the video and I’m watching. Lol However, I do it the lazy way. I peel mine. A little harder to put in the fletching jig and probably don’t look as good. But they hold up well for me. I do waste more that way though. However, I use the secondarys as well. I cut my primary in a 4 inch parabolic for carbons. I cut my secondary’s in 6 inch banana for woods. The softer feather does fine in that bigger presentation. Just FYI This is the way to do it right everyone. Great video

    • I saved a bunch on secondary feathers so I will give that a try. Thanks for the tip!

  • That was great to see being done! I'd like to do my own feathers one day. I'd have to find out what kind of feathers would be best to use here in Australia. I assume the feathers would need to be strong like those primary feathers you used. You've got me thinking now!!

  • Great video, so do you shoot both left wing and right wing fletchings? I know most people do either one or the other. If so, do you notice any flight differences?

  • Do you use the straight clamp for the ease in grinding them ? I have left and right clamps....
