It was a hundred years ago that silent films were all the rage, and they're back!
It took me 5 months to make this video, so I really hope you LIKED it! Links to the complete Soundtrack, Behind-the-Scenes, FAQs and LEGO LIGHTS I use are all in the VIDEO DESCRIPTION, so make sure to check those out!

Seeing that train was extremely nostalgic, it was the second Lego set I ever had
Wait, there was actually a lego mining train?
There was, I feel nostalgic damn
Amazing animation! It's so worth the wait! I love the mysterious cavern. Excellent job on everything including the music you've added 😉 And I'm glad that John and Jimmy are back from their cruise adventure right on time! 😜

I haven’t watched any other animations like this, but I assume that there is consistency in this universe.

CubCubs Trooper tbh Michael’s animations a pretty primitive and have simple movements.

I truly appreciate all the time and work you put into your videos. I am a speech therapist and often use these videos to teach concepts about sequencing, and predicting. I really like that you use very little talking with the characters which allows my students to create their own dialogue! Thank you very much! Pam
As a builder of miniature trains, I can really appreciate the efforts you put in to creating this layout and animating the motion. Great work 😁
You gotta admit that the owners of the mining company are very nice. The father and son trespassed in their mine, yet the owners weren't cross at all. Instead, they saved the father and son without a second thought. Glad the father gave them some gold, though.
I've been watching you for more than a year and I understand everything, even though I'm from Russia!

This is just incredible story telling, direction and stop motion work
unbelievably high quality. amazing work
Thought I wouldn't like this but the first few seconds were already impressive
at 9;24 you could see the man doing the sos in morse code, nice attention to detail!
Well done, keep up the good work!
My wife and I just got onto LEGOs this year. This video you have done is outstanding.
One of my favorite episodes. Thanks for for all the hard work that goes into this. The detail of the mine is awesome. Thousands of frames, spectacular. Even dad signaling SOS on the wires. No detail too small. Above and beyond.
Lego Miners was one of my favorite Lego city themes. Always wanted the mine itself but it was too expensive
If someone wants, I can expound on what I love about this, but I'll just leave it at this: This video captures what LEGO means to me.
I don’t even know how u make these sick vids this looks like something from the lego movie
Using stop motion animation. Look it up
Lego movies are digital stuff, this is stop motion, traditional animation with realistic material, much more difficult!!!!
Did anyone else get recommended to this video and then sees it and TOTALLY loves it?
I'm thoroughly impressed with the boulder breaking at the beginning!
Nostalgia is so good
real bro
I love every inch about this film! Here are 3 inches of it that are very impressive: the animation. Very smooth animating. Storyline. Very good storyline. Set design. Incredible building!
My good sir, this was amazing. The animation between 5:40-5:50 was just incredible, and the music choice worked so well with the theme and tone! This might even be my new favorite by you...just amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
Brilliant water animation.
Seriously better than any tv show in syndication.

This was amazing Alexander, your one of the best animators ever! I can’t believe all the hard work and patience that was put into this, I would’ve gave up on a stop motion that was taking long to make. But you my good sir inspire me to keep going no matter how long it takes. Cheers 🥂 to one of the *best* animators *EVER!*
This was INCREDIBLE!! You have such detailed and smooth control of the minifigures’ motion and it really shows. It looks so professional!

No they don't have lego
Excellent video. You should be proud of this. I also want to make a few key points as constructive criticism: Positives: Premise was really cool, how the mining company went bankrupt and the father and son visited the actual site. Sound effects when they entered the cave (3:06) were excellent and spot on. I especially love the ambience of the mineshaft too. Character movements throughout are very well done and smooth; it compliments the high frame rate excellently. A lot of the cinematography is some of the best I've seen in Lego brickfilming. I especially love the transition of the miners to the picture of them in the newspaper article (1:41) and the shot of them falling down the elevator shaft (5:45). The Lego environment itself, as well as the set pieces, are extremely well put together, realistic, and detailed. The lights in the cave help give this video a sense of realism and it worked wonders. And although a little detail, I absolutely love the use of the crowbar on the train (5:30) I loved the use of morse code (8:30). That was a cool and clever addition. Also the vehicles working together to dig the hole at 8:51 was incredibly cool and well-executed. There was excellent use of lego pieces and the vehicles itself. The cavern of golden nuggets at 7:38 had fantastic lighting as well. Negatives: I really did not like the use of stock music. It didn't detract from the video all that much, but it did make it a little cringy and generic (If that makes any sense). The story itself I felt was a little unclear. Mainly when the father and son went to visit the cave itself (How were they able to get in and access all that stuff without being spotted or anything?) and when they found the cavern, it was kinda weird that something that looked like it was ripped straight out of Indiana Jones would be there. Also it was a little unrealistic how the father and son survived the fall down the elevator shaft. That shaft was at least a hundred feet deep, and realistically speaking they both would have died. But it's a Lego brickfilm, so things like this aren't a big deal. The skeleton at 6:20 felt unrealistic to be in a mining shaft, especially since it makes no sense why the workers wouldn't have found it or something. It's not a big deal though. And that's it. This was incredibly well done, hope this helped a little.
I know this is super late, but based on the readings on the head miner’s scanner, the two actually fell around 4,000 feet when they dropped down that shaft (We don’t see them travel down any further afterwards, the rest of the mine is completely level) At first that sounds absurd, but that actually lines up with how deep gold mines usually are/can get So it’s even more ridiculous that they survived the fall, but at least the mine depth is realistic?
@@soupywolf5234 I didn't know that, thanks. Still was weird that they survived but I missed that detail, good eye.
What a good movie keep it up! 😀
This was wonderful! Kids laughed and lived along. Great job throughout, audio, story, directing.
