I type is with tears in my eyes and rolling down my cheeks . As an Australian that is married to a Vietnamese lady and together we share an amazing son . We honestly cry for each other every day whilst we wait patiently and with strength on the Australian Government to grant them immigration to Australia . I found this song whilst searching things about her home town Cù Chỉ in the hope I may see her or our son in a video . This song is so moving to me and also makes me very emotional and I love everything about the country of Vietnam and I really wish I could be there with them both . Thank you for your kind words about my second home and the country I truly love more than the country I was born in .
I have made a round trip from south to north in Vietnam years ago. I was so impressed! So many highlights, culture and nature. Also loved the Cham towers, beautiful.

@@xuyenchi9648 The Mekong Delta was beautiful, we went there on a small boat. But there were so many beautiful highlights. My personal favourite was Ha Long Bay with all the rock formations.

At 10 minutes you see all the lights in hoi an. It was actually at this place i asked my wife to marry me there on a boat between all the lights. Now 3 years later still happiely married and a little daughter of 5 months old. Such good memorys of our 3 week journey through vietnam. Where to start in vietnam? If you want to see the whole country, start in ho chi min city. And travel north to hanoi, sapa and ha long bay. In the south you see the history of this beautifull country. And in the north you see the beauty the country has to offer.

I was in Vietnam for 6 weeks in 1992, it's a beautifull country, especialy the north Sa Pa, Dien Ben Phu ect. Nice people (only a few not), Very nice food. Loved it

haha so true about the food. My German friends gain at least 10kgs each after 3 months traveling south to north, yet they admit the eatery place they missed the most is my mom's kitchen, got fed from her pots (so envy, I'm her child and she never let me do that =)))) you should be back soon, the places you'd been to might look different, less wild more manicured, and as selfish as we are, we know that it does the locals good. Still a lot for an adventurous heart to explore, tho.

A few places for you to consider visiting when the international travel is open: - Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City (Sài Gòn) - 2 biggest cities, yeah I know, but a large part of Vietnamese cultures and history is in there - Hạ Long bay - a beautiful natural wonder, one of the most famous travel destination in Vietnam - Sapa - the town on the highest mountain of Vietnam (of Indochina too), dubbed "Town in clouds" because you are literally in the clouds there - Tràng An, Bái Đính, Tam Cốc Bích Động - natural and historical attractions, all inside Ninh Bình province. Tràng An is dubbed "Hạ Long bay on land", it's where the Kong Skull Island movie was shot - Huế - the old capital of Vietnam during the Nguyễn Dynasty - Đà Nẵng, Hội An - close to each other, there are a lot of attractions there. Hội An is historically a busy trading port in the region - Đà Lạt - a beautiful vacation city the French built in the colonial era, a lot of MVs you've watched were shot there - Phú Quốc - the biggest island of Vietnam, might be a good choice if you want some "Vitamin Sea", though there are plenty of other sea cities to choose from, like Nha Trang or Vũng Tàu - Bonus: Sơn Đoòng cave - the world's largest natural cave! (see Alan Walker's Alone pt. II MV) But in order to explore it you have to get some kind of permit, bump your fitness up, and register to get on the waiting list. The number of people allowed to enter each year is very limited to preserve the cave's natural state, so it's not an easy place to visit. Obviously there are still a lot more, I'm pretty ignorant about my own country. If you have plenty of time, backpacking and biking around the country is also a choice that many other foreigners did choose and make videos about on KZhead, you can check it out. Finally, you're always welcomed in Vietnam! Peace
Literally any place can be breathtaking. For a one year tour, you can make a two pages long list of must-go places and end up reaching half of them because of the “let’s stay and enjoy this magnificent abcd” uttering that you cant help.

I was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. I lived in my hometown for 19 years, until I moved half the world away to the US for college. Watching this video and listening to this song man… all I can say is I miss my home. The US has been good for me, but there’s always only one place I can call home. There’s always one place where i feel like I really belong, where I can feel safe and always be my true self. And that place is Vietnam 🇻🇳

It depends what you like, most you love is in the North, starting by Hoi An . I was there twice and special the North is amazing. If you start in Hanoi then you can go from there to Sapa, Ka Giang, Healing bay, Nim Bin, MonChou, Hot An. Beautiful country with lovely people.

You should start with Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, travel North to South (or vice versa). There's no best place in Vietnam because each city, region has it's own unique charm. If your time is limited, these are some cities that I had chance to visit, highly recommended: Hanoi, Ha Long, Sa Pa, Moc Chau, Ha Giang, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Hoi An, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Mien Tay (the westen of southen Vietnam)... I remember you said that you love the beaches, then Ha Long, Nha Trang, Vung Tau will definitely blow you away.

My recommendation for you for the start will be Nha Trang, the beach town you saw in the video. I lived there for a couple of years and I absolutely love it ever after. Second point is Ninh Binh, with the rivers, moutains, and paddy fields which were in the video, too.
