I Recommend only adding mods after Chapter 3 otherwise you'll run into issues such as crashing. There are plenty of chapter 3 saves you can install from nexus mods so pick one of those to skip the prologue. These mods are only for Single Player Story Mode. I've never written a comment on these types of videos, but I just had to on this one because this video was incredibly well done. I am completely new to modding and you dumbed down everything and showed how to put everything in the right place which was incredibly helpful. I am a huge noob when it comes to everything related to files and what files to put certain things in, but this video could even explain how to get mods to someone like myself. Well done!

I followed this to the letter and it worked, but I have to admit that I had to pause and re-watch certain parts to make sure that I put the right files in the right folders, confusing at times as some mods have to be put in the lml folder and some don't, even outside of this video helpful, thanks you

Hey Deepz, Just wanted to say thank you for the video, and getting back to my comment. I was unsure which script hook to install, but once I got that figured out, I was able to get all the rest of the mods downloaded and setup along with the rampage trainer. Thanks again, now I plan on going back to some of your newer videos you just put out and look into getting the spannable gang member mod etc

tip: If it asks you for admin permission when transfering files its not gonna work, you need to go to properties of the rdr2 folder, then security and give full permission to all users then you will need to transfer all files again, hope it helps somebody.

what is game directory in modding? im tryna isntall seasons mod and it tell me that i dont know if it means put it in lml folder or just in red dead

@@JamesJeffersonRecords Okay, this is a crazy accusation. I only came to the comments because I was having the same probelm, the creator used the right link, it's an internal problem. There's no RDR2 directory on the dev-c site for me for some reason and it's causing the page for the ScriptHook download to display as just basic HTML and I'm assuming that's the same problem Brick had. I'm sure the fix is as simple as clearing browser cache, none of the sites he linked install malware, don't be ridiculous.

Hi Deepz - thanks for another terrific vid mate! Quick question: is it OK (or rather, needed) to install WhyEm's DLC and Eastern's Epic Extras in addition to these mods or will cause conflicts?
Without these mods you can’t use Whyems or Eastern epics.

For some reason my game doesn't boot up after putting the Lenny mod loader files into my game directory.
Your missing the the requirements for it
Nvm I fixed the issue, the latest version of lml doesn't work for me so I had to install the beta 8 version. Thanks anyways for responding

@@joshuaherrera8481 well before when I used the latest version of lml my game wouldn't start. So I decided to try older versions of lml my game worked. I also installed mods and put them in the lml folder and those work as well. If you have the latest version of the game then I think the latest version of lml should work.

Scripthook I have linked is the one I use. As long as your pressing the right download you should be good

Tysm rdr2 is now 100x funner and funnier
if you have z-zip that also will work instead of win-rar so if you already have Z-zip like moi, don't forget it can open zip, and rar folders too.

To anybody doing everything and mod loader saying game ain't running and mods or something not working download 'Lenny's simple trainer' and copy the version.dll from it to RDR2 main folder where .exe and other stuff are... and it should work...

Is it ok to use multiple Trainers? I love Rampage but I also see that some mods say they need the Lenny's Simple Trainer. Also I see that some mods say the require ScriptHookRD2 others say that they require version.dll Is it ok to have multiple asi loaders installed or will that cause conflicts and crashes? Multiple trainers yes. Multiple asi loaders or script hooks no, they just overwrite each other anyway

This is the first I'm hearing about not installing mods prior to chapter 3. What mods caused crashes in chapters 1-2? Not accusing you of being wrong I've just never heard it before and I've been modding for a while.

@@ItsDeepz_ Any among the most endorsed on nexus that are big no no's? The 3 big mods I intend to use in a fresh playthrough are PDO, W.E.R.O and Crime and Law Rebalance. What do you think? The other ones are so minor I doubt they would have any effect.

ever since i installed the mods my game keeps crashing after a little time do you know why, the game can run perfectly fine for 5-10 minutes and then it freezes and crashes

ya gotta remove the mods or have a separate game folder you can switch to. No mods in online

is there supposed to be a stream folder inside of your lml folder? I tried to download the young Arthur mod but couldn't because I didn't have a stream folder.

First time I tried adding mods everything worked, it was fucking awesome. Than like a dummy I tried online so I took all the mods out…. Wasn’t worth it at all online is just pointless grinding unless maybe you got a couple buddies to wander with. So I went back to mods and never could get them to work again. Steam modding thru the workshop spoiled me. Let’s see if a third try and this video can do it for me

I’m sure I’ll get it eventually but I’m struggling with it right now. I copied the files including the lml file. Took me forever to find exactly where my rdr2 files were stored during that portion. When I go to save it says the lml file was not found

hi sorry I just had a quick question. some mods say install file a into game directory and file b into game folder. I have the game directory but what/where is the game folder? Or after I do the mod manager thing do I just download with mod manager and and that will take care of it?
