This video is a brief overview of settings you can tweak when you install Realistic Battle mod for Mount and Blade II Bannerlord. This footage is from RBM version 3.5.9 for Bannerlord version 1.1.2.

Dude i just installed the mod and i must say to all IT WORKS AMAZINGLY!!! Ok i have an issue with the arrows but i actually get to use tactics, the battles are AMAZING and most important, the posture systems works BEAUTIFULLY! I couldn't get my head around the fact that recruits get to block my 2handed axe with a god damn knife, but with this mod it all works GREAT!!! I don't remember how many soldiers i had to execute lying on my feet after a devastating smash on their block, while trying to get up!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
I think the setting for armor and weapon overhaul should be a separate dropdown in the RBM Combat section. It would be great if we can use the passive shoulder shields and realistic archer reloads without making the armors as tanky as they are in the mod
i agree wit that, its a ltitle annoyign for modded archers or expanded archers as modded or custom archers quivers do 0 damage ebcause of the new piece cut system ie Boogies ugrades

This video helped a lot, even though I found vanilla combat in the Early game very, very difficult, especially in tournaments, when you're around level 30 with better armor, better weapons, you practically become a God, and I was thinking seriously about downloading this mod to make things a little more difficult, but not that much, I'll try this mod, thanks for the video

the issue i have with this mod is that some moded ranged weapons are completely bugged now and their shots are landing like 10cm infront of me, any idea on how to fix that?

can you add an option to just have the better arrow visuals? Sometimes I can't use the combat module due to incompatibility with other mods but then the great arrow visuals are gone aswell :/

Do difficulty presets matter if you’re using RBM? Does it affect the stats if I play at Bannerlord difficulty or lower when using RBM?

all my archers shoot above the target until they've spent all their arrows. What could be the problem?
Is there a way to only overhaul the damage module for rbm?
so what happens if i play got mod and rbm and i turn off module status?
I liked the whole posture system a few years ago but now whenever I do multiple perfect parries in a row, I drop my weapon... no way is this by design, right? I thought the whole point was doing perfect parries would make them fall down.
Is there an option to speed up the time during the battle? Do I need another mod for this?

Realistic and semi-realistic arrow reload speeds are not as described. Takes about 10 - 20 seconds to have another arrow to fire with these settings but an archer in reality could fire an arrow every 5 seconds or so. Realistic or balanced? Gotta make up your mind :)
for ity doesnt work even when i play the mod single it sayis that thgere was a problem we need to collect the filles and then it crashes and close the game
Simply if I disable that RBM combat option ingame, as whole would it affect that realistic armor/weapon stats or not at all? 🙂 I want to download huge mod Knightfall which gather many mods, also graphical ones, but also this. At first it looks great, with AI making better formations I suppose, but I also read a few forum posts about ridiculously high armor or low dmg against it, as some one need to for half an hour, or hour chasing some top armored units, or get shot during siege by 2 shots from bow or crossbow:D So I actually don´t like this kind of realism in this games, that is why I also play game on very easy settings 🙂
Áno. Combat module includes all changes to damage, armors etc. If you disable combat module you also disable all the settings included in it so you dont need to bother with individual settings if you disable whole module, same applies to AI module and its sub-sections.
Realistic Arrow arc is bug or what? when enabled i have to aim below lags somewhere on the ground to hit at the head at list, if disabled arrows fly way down then i aim and because of that i just can't play that mod as an archer. That section needs to be removed
Is it possible to decrease armor? The emperial cataphracts become almost invulnerable, pikes arrows almost nothing is useless against them. It takes an hours to kill them 🤦🏻♂️
Maces lol, entirely realistic though as these people are supposed to be the tanks of their time
@@MarkMuhammad190 yes I understand what you are talking but however they were not immortal. If you see the battle of Agencour english archer shot out french knights. And there were a tests how bows can be deadly even against medieval tanks. In this test 2 of 10 arrows got into open parts. So they were really protected but not immortal one. But however I already understood how to edit the armory in RBM mid so I’ve already reduced it a little bit. So now it is satisfactory for my games.
@@MarkMuhammad190 it doesn't matter how well armoured you are, bumping into a pike at very high speeds will kill you

Can we please get an option to modify ranged balance? Non fian champions and all crossbows are comppetrly useless on this mod. I know its based on realistic draw times and realistic damage. But in the real world battles would last hours or days tiving you plenty of time to get value out of skirmishers. I gave a companion the best bow in the game and 250 archery and they rarely if ever got a kill under the f6 ai. I gave anktber companion 300 crowwbow and the best crossbow in tbe game and they never got a single kill. Meanwhile javelins are still useful and if you give a companion a warhammer they can hit 12-20 kills consistently with high skill level
I love the mod but it just crashes the game on the start-up now. I haven't played bannerlord in half a year or so and now when I re-installed and got the latest RBM it just crashes the game.
Make sure you have everything up to date, do clean install of the mods. If you can load the game with only RBM enabled it should not crash, if it does something is either wrong with your game, or the mod is not installed correctly (make sure mod dll file is enabled), also the mod does not work correctly on Linux - this includes Steam Deck.
I wish you could turn off the market value on/off. t6 weapon I smithed went from 25k to 3k :( But thanks for the mod, love the longer battles. Give me more time to use tactics.
This makes it so much better. You can't exploit the crafting system.

I find with posture it becomes too easy, enemies can't take two hits (blocks or parries) before their posture is broken. Is it meant to be that way?

I got significanly frame drop, what should i do?
Try to find out which of our modules does it, if it is combat module it is probably related to GPU, switch the arrow visuals back to vanilla. If it is AI module, it is probably your CPU so you will have to reduce army size in game settings.
Can we disactivate armor and weapon values ? Cause in early game they are a pain in the ass. You can't do anything with a tier 2-3 sword and spear.
bit late- and think the mod isnt compatible with latest patch- Ai, missile speed, momentum, trade value are tied into the equipment values numbers -best thing is to use mortal wound or bleed option (not sure if thats additional mod)so you cant hit someone 10times but still bleed them out. getting shot with 100arrows on mail would bruise your body to fatality probably.
I wish tournament was hard as it is in vanilla and improved on that. Because it's realistic to have hard champions really hard to beat. No cheese things. It's a let down to have "affordable" challenges, it's not realistic and goes against the mod flavor! Having the module that can be turned down...is not really an answer, is a partial solution. Thank you for this mod and this video.. rare stuff to be found on mods. Thanks for doing this too!

I don't get the posture system, the only thing I see is every so often you/them stumble, that's it.
Basically ride your horse and cavalry unit across the archer line and watch how some of your riders behind you and maybe yourself have fallen off their horse from crashing into too many people, or you falling from getting hit too much or blocking too many attacks at once, that’s posture.
mod is ok but why reduce movement speed. cant even do quick change in position you and army is so slow b/c of armor values i guess? its a game at the end of the day...... i dont want to walk adn run at -10 mph
