NAILED IT! This video has the best film, making I’ve seen from a Canadian cycle tour! Awesome experience, watching it, I could’ve listened to it blindfolded and your descriptions would’ve nailed, exactly what I thought i would see! Would have loved to see more of who you are on the view seem like a very interesting person, hope to see more videos!!!
I am awed by the scenery. I am awed by your tenacity. I am captivated by the whole experience. You make me wish I was there on my bike experiencing BC like you. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Great job Nathan, wonderful scenery and a nice route, beautifully shot. Can only imagine what a pain it must have been to keep settling up the tripod! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip.

What a journey. Womderful.
Just finished riding with you through BC, looking forward to AB and more provinces to come. Great commentary, I learned a few things about BC I didn't know. Thanks.
One of the most scenic and well commentated videos I have seen. Looking forward to seeing your journey through Ontario! (The TC from the Manitoba border to Sudbury terrifies me!)
That's great camera and video work. Excellent! It makes me want to do some cycle touring/exploring!

Absolutely amazing job on this production. You have a great eye for catching the surrounding beauty and a talent for editing. What a journey you captured, thanks for sharing. 👍🏼🇨🇦🔥
Beautiful! I am planning my very first long ride starting in Canmore to Vancouver. Grey Creek Pass is a heavily anticipated section, and very happy to be heading that way through August!
This is really well shot, I also like your narration/voice.
I’ve absolutely love your videos been waiting for more and more. Very inspiring videos that shows how beautiful Canada really is. I was wonder if you had a video or can make one that breaks down from your bike setup to the equipment and gears you are using on this trip. Been wanting to do a bikepacking trip. Thanx for these videos keep on riding 🤙🏻
Hi Nathan .... good work .good photography
Just came across your ride. Beautiful photography. Thanks
Very nice. A few years ago I had watched a documentary on how many former rail lines in the UK were being converted into bike trails. I did not know the same thing was going on here. Looking forward to watching you whole series.
the shot where you and your bike are reflected in the frog's eye! crazy!
Great camera work and cut. Thanks also for sharing the GPS track.

good stuff, thnx.
A lot of extra effort into getting those shots. Masterclass in film making. Did you even enjoy your bike tour between shots? I sure I enjoyed watching it.
Merci beaucoup c'est les plus belles vidéos de cyclotourisme que j'ai vue fantastique Bravo ! Tes vraiment génial 💙
It's an awesome bikepacking experience you have. Warm greetings from The Special Territory of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Wow!!!!!!!!!! Stunning!!!!!!!!!!! Your videography is spectacular! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great meeting you this morning on the last leg of your amazing journey! Hope you enjoy your stay in Newfoundland.
Beautiful video! I'm also following you on Strava. I've postponed returning from Laos for 2 years due to CoVid etc..., but I'm going to come home in 2023 to do my own Trans Canada cycling trip. For now, I'll have to settle to live vicariously through your posts and videos. ☺️🇨🇦🚴♂️
Wow, completely amazing video. Congratulations and excellent work! Looking forward to the next ones 😀
Thanks Julien!!!
Not sure if you remember me, We chatted at a small cafe in Hope B.C. You were talking about this fantastic journey across Canada on your bike. As a tourist to hope from Winnipeg, I really had my doubts. Because I know how harsh the weather can get out east. I was exited to see today on instagram that you finished your journey. Props to you Nathan, And I'm exited to see the rest of this series.
Spectacular! Your videos are awesome. Wonderful experience indeed! Ride safe my friend..
Amazing video! We did the same this summer and went through a number of the same places as you only a week earlier! You captured the beauty well. We are doing province by province videos as well to help others in their efforts to plan ~ yours will help the gravel planners indeed! Can’t wait to watch your future films! Thank you!
Good job m8
great video and the drone shots are perfect. thanks
Incredible video Nathan! We met a long time ago on a VOC trip so you probably don't remember me, but I've been quietly following along on your journey! So awesome keep it up!
Wow! What a great video! Amazing so well put together!
Cool
Thank you so much for sharing your trip, I've ridden most of this route and it was great seeing it through your eyes. Fantastic footage and editing 👍👍
You have a gift on top of a heckuva hobby! Unreal video
Nice! -- QUESTION -- Can you please do a bike review and show how and what you pack. Sort of an in depth review of what it takes to do all of this riding (or at least your setup)?
Fabulous images.
Just found this video. Magnificent filming. Excellent narration. So many familiar places. Thank you for sharing
wow congratulations on making such a beautiful video and also biking from Fernie to Coleman did you go from Fernie to Sparwood through the trail cuz that's some pretty epic riding for a bike like yours
Hello. Loved the video. Did you use a gravel bike? If so what specs? Brand? What type of rack system for your packs? This has inspired me. Thank you!
This video / documentation is awesome. Deserves more views . Did you tent camp this whole time ?
Some amazing footage and awesome sites! We hope to ride through here this summer. Where did you begin and end the KVR?
Awesome achievement and a very nice video! I am planning a similar trip this summer. My biggest concern is regarding the bears. Did you have any close encounters? And did you take any precautions like bear spray etc.?
Nice
Amazing video! Im inspired to do something similar someday. How did you prepare for your trip?
Much appreciated. Lots of research on route and watching videos for inspiration and tips. Some shorter practice tours and a good base fitness then just set off. Getting out the door is the hardest step. Everything afterwards comes naturally
Hi Nathan! Bc is so beautiful province. Can you share your road on ridewithgps? What is the side of your tire that you recommand for your trip in BC? Thank you.
Hi. The ridewithgps routemap is included in the description :). I rode with 45mm tires, and I recommend 40+ for the gravel riding in BC.
amazing Trip ! did you Camp in a tent (did you have to reserve the campsites beforehand ?) or where did you sleep ? would be so grateful for this information !:)
Thank you very much!! Yes, sleeping in tent and in Warmshowers. There are lots of municipal campgrounds through the prairies. You can go in late at night and leave early in the morning under the radar. Alternatively ask if people will let you camp on their site. Wild camping whenever possible of course is also amazing. In Ontario in the summer most provincial park sites will be full, and are absurdly expensive anyways. Wild camping or asking to join a site is the way to go. Best of luck on your trip! I saw your post in the bikepacking group. Join “biking across Canada” as well. It’s much more active, and your questions will be happily answered there quickly. Feel free to message me on Instagram as well, I’ll get back a bit faster. Cheers :)
Thanks, I will look at all your videos. This summer was warmer here (New-Brunswick) than usual, There was also a heat wave in the west.
Cheers, this is the first video of many! And yes, atypical weather across the country this year it seems. I’ll be in New Brunswick in a couple weeks!
Fantastic! Looking at this.
Eagerly waiting for the next episode.
Nice video.
My in-laws live in Hope. I’m in London uk. This summer I cycled part of where you went in this video. KVR. And all the way to Seattle.
👍👍👍🚴🚴🚴🥰🥰🥰🥰
Nice ride! I am interested in your entire route. Do you have it mapped out? Would you be willing to share? Thanks.
Sure liked your video and explanation of your route. | tracked your route with garmin base camp. I was wondering about getting food between penticton and midway were there any places to buy groceries. Thanks for posting and your explanation which will help me plan my bike trip from calgary to vancouver. cheers
There is a general store in Beaverdell, although it was closed when I passed through. There are also a couple shops and cafes in Rock Creek. On the trail, there are also wineries in Naramata, and the Chute Lake Lodge.
@@nathanstarzynski thank
I will be cycling across Canada next year I have planned this trip for more than ten years
What a beautiful bicycle touring video wao,!
Do you have maps or resources used for your route?
Good luck we looking for next video
😊
Would a recumbent trike be able to do this route you biked?
This is a mixed gravel route that involves some parts of singletrack riding. And also pieces together many different trail sections. A trike could handle some sections, but definitely not ideal for through travel.
@@nathanstarzynski is there a trans canada route that is more suited for biketouring on asphalt?
Do you have your actual route, Ride with GPS?, or GPX files? Is this part of the BC Trail?
What's the make of the bicycle?
I hope you get many more views ~ millions ~ but to be honest, I kind of expected more from the point of view of cycling. I'm only a few minutes in and see a lot of scenery, which looks nice. I've lived in Victoria and Nanaimo and live in Vancouver now. I suppose this video wouldn't be nearly as nice if it wasn't edited and shown from a particular point of view. I didn't recognize the path around the Vancouver Convention Centre at first but found it on Google Maps and it doesn't look that pristine when you're actually there. Good luck to you.
What bike did you use for your trip ?
