Thank you very much to everyone who does the favor or just for watching!
If you'd like to do this, you can post the videos to: Titktok / Shorts / Reels / Twitter / Reddit
And the memes could be posted to: Twitter / Reddit / Instagram
Or if you don't use social media you could text them to a friend if you'd like to, and could say "Me when something ____ happens."
Also I was able to ask a couple of the people who made these video edits for permission to share the videos, but some of them have been reposted so many times it was too hard to track them down! But you may also feel free to make new edits if you would like to!

  • As a thank you gift to everyone who has been watching this year I’ve also included a free copy of a download of my first book in that link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lVwUcRa1WougJAE81fyCmwhV0Kr76soX (Anyone can download it if you’d like!)
I will answer more questions plus just have a fun conversation on livestream this Thursday at 5pm PST. If you try posting the videos and memes thank you very much and please let me know how it goes!

  • Please don't delete anything, Daxflame. I was following your content back in 2003 (edit: that's not the right year). And while the "cringe" and other adjectives track, there's something in all of this that I think a lot of people relate to. I sort of straddled that line. I wanted to laugh at the awkwardness, but at the same time, I've felt painfully awkward in similar situations. That's how I felt watching your videos back then. I was the bully and the person who had been bullied. It was all there. I'll still never know if any of your content at the time was genuine, but I can tell you that either way it made me feel something. Don't shut any aspect of yourself off. Don't erase any part of yourself. You're here. Keep it.

      @ashary9675@ashary9675 Жыл бұрын
    • @@ashary9675 Shoot, how do I keep getting my numbers mixed up? 2007 is when I _graduated_ from college. I did start college in 2003, but I guess I was mistaken for thinking I was watching Daxflame in my Freshman year. Anyway, going to college in 2003 was interesting. I mostly think of it from a technology standpoint. Google had already become the most popular search engine, but up until then, a different search engine would take the top seat every few years. So it wasn't _that_ obvious how big it would be. MySpace was the most popular social network. Facebook started during my second semester, but in the early years it was only available to specific schools. it would be a couple years before my small college was added to list. I was one of the people who applied on my school's behalf. I don't think Google Maps was a thing yet, and most of us didn't have a GPS unit. If we wanted to go someplace unfamiliar, we'd pull it up on MapQuest. I would usually go to the library or computer lab for that so I could print out the map and directions. We all had cellphones, but minutes were limited and texts usually cost money for each message, so we would just call each other on the campus IP phones in our dorms for free. iPods existed already and were very popular. There wasn't very much online video content, so popular videos would remain popular for a very long time. Homestar Runner was very popular in my clique. It ran on flash, and there was no way to rewind or fast-forwrad. So if you wanted to show someone your favorite part of a Homestar Runner cartoon, you'd have to start it from the beginning and just wait. Mainstream content included cable TV (live, not InDemand), CDs, and DVDs. I was really lucky to be born when I was, I think. So much has changes. When entered the first grade, assignments were done one paper. No one had cell phones. Virtually all of our research was done through books in the library. By the time I graduated college, you could do research and write a paper, and send it to your teacher with your phone. It's wild to think about how that all changed in just my lifetime. And I'm not even 40 yet.

  • Honestly Dax, this is a very parasocial thing for me to say, but I used to watch all your videos back in the day. I was in middle school when a lot of these dropped. And I just wanted to say you seem like you’ve grown up into a really good dude. Not that you weren’t when you were a kid. It’s just that it’s difficult to watch other people go through negative experiences (satire or no). I honestly wish you nothing but success and am happy for the successes you’ve already had in the film And entertainment history. You’ve been doing your own thing your whole life and it’s never steered you wrong. So keep on doing you.

  • I took a look at your channel, it's actually so cool that you're not just riding on this forever, you allow it to be apart of your content but you're still new & creative

  • I first saw your videos when one of them went viral on 4chan back when you made it, the last blog ever one, there were a lot of people who thought you were trolling and making up those scenarios you were in. I'm happier to know these videos were real and really showed you going though a struggle than it being staged. A lot of people at the time were just trying to make fun of you but don't let the haters keep you down, just always motivate yourself through the tough times and the good times. Keep it up dax
