It’s why he was cast-the producers saw from the beginning that he would make a great Winter Soldier, but they actually had more reservations about his ability to play Bucky Barnes. When he said he preferred the uncomfortable arm because it helps in his acting and the color stays true to the comic, it reminded me of when Robert Downey Jr. said Sebastian is a method actor. He truly is.
I think it's more about physicality than being a method actor. There have been other interviews where Seb has said he doesn't go that far.
Well I don't think he's a method actor RDJ was likely joking or exaggerating, but I still admire him a ton for turning down the comfortable arm for the heavy one for the sake of being true to the character and source material.

he did a radio interview in 2019 and he was asked about the actors using that technique and he said that people can use whatever it helps them in their job but for him it's a no 🤷🏽♀️

Now that Chris and RDJ are gone, I can really see how Anthony and Seb have stepped up to take the mantle and shape the new culture of the MCU cast. From being a bit lost in the start to being more involved and invested.

Ali is such a great interviewer he asks the most interesting questions and knows how to get the most out of an actor while still keeping it fun like in this interview here with Sebastian.
