  • Fact: now in November 2023, i bought the MSI B550 Gaming Plus for 118€ about 128,45 US-Dollar. I have 2 MSI Mainboard in my AM4 Computers, and they are great! Worked by first time i pushed the power on button. I have two computers with AM4: an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus AMD B550 motherboard with Ryzen 5 5600 and another computer with an MSI MPG X570 motherboard and an older Ryzen 7 3700X processor, the watt consumption of the 3700X is lower (from 35 to a maximum of 40 W). I have found that an SSD hard drive has a greater impact on computer performance than the CPU. I used to run Windows from an HDD (spinning hard drive), now my Windows, Firefox and Steam are installed on the SSD: The performance increase is 100% to 200%, loading times have been reduced to a fraction of the time, all programs and games load much faster. [...] Advice to all: Use a post-purchase CPU cooler with at least 120mm fan diameter and one or two fans for all AM4 processors. I recommend all the common Noctua models, such as the Noctua NH-U12S Redux or the Noctua NH-U12A. The noise level is reduced by 250% compared to a standard AMD fan because the larger fan, it spins at slower RPM and because of the larger cooler (with more heat pipes) dissipates heat better and faster.

  • You're using the B550M Aorus Pro for the thumbnail, not the B550 Aorus Elite. That is seriously misleading.

  • Tell me. MSI B550 Gaming Plus motherboard, plugged Samsung PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 980 PRO into M.2_1 slot. Started installing Windows 10, it does not want to be installed. I reinstalled the disk in the M.2_2 slot, the system is installed. Maybe you need to set some settings in the BIOS? I updated the BIOS version to the current one for today.

    • dont buy it, ryzen 5 5600 or 5 5600x is more than enough for gaming, the most performance plus you can gain from installind SSD drive and running windows on it, your games you can still load from a HHD (fixed drive), the Performance Boost will be between 100%-200%, with much shorter loading times for all programms and games, including starting windows within 12 to 15 seconds.

    • i bought the MSI B550 Gaming Plus for 118€ about 128,45 US-Dollar in Nov 2023. The Mainboard doesn´t have WLAN, but i use a LAN Cable for Internet, even i have WLAN available at my home.
