I.....I....... WHAT??? This acting is so f-ing bad that it's physically assaulting me. So ridiculously over the top! Don't these actors know anything about subtlety? About SHOW, don't TELL? Talk about gaining even more respect for the original, how could anyone be entertained by this dumpster fire? And you know what? Maybe the terrible acting can be forgiven but not the fact that they cut out the most important parts. "I curse you! Until you do right by me everything you think about, is gonna crumble." "Until you do right by me, everything you even think about gonna fail." "Everything you done to me, already done to you." Celie not only standing up to Albert but CURSING him to a life of misery for all that he has done is essential to the story and Celie's character. You lose so much by cutting that out. This clip sealed my decision to never watch this abomination.

I agree. It literally looks so bad haha. The color purple is my favorite movie and before I decided to waste my time watching it I looked up some clips and I’m happy. I didn’t spend my money on this garbage.
