"I pity your wife if you think 6 minutes is forever."

Seeing the movie in theaters made me feel like I was actually at Live Aid
I feel the same way too! ❤️
I felt the same way. Even though i was not born back then.
Same. And I wasn't even born back then. If I could travel back in time, hell I would. Enjoy legends 😎 at their best especially the ones who are now dead but alive back then.

"You will forever be known as the man who lost queen"
That scene actually never happened in real life
It did
It kinda happened, but there was no Ray Foster. The EMI chief at the time did think Bohemian Rhapsody was too long, the band and EMI remained on good terms and Queen continued to make music with them.

"I pity your wife if you think six minutes is forever" - Freddie Mercury GOD BLESS FREDDIE
You know not everything in the movie is 100% correct. He didn't say everything in the movie.
Toto - Africa it doesn’t matter. Rami portrayed it well enough to the fact that it feels so real and it probably would have been something that came out of Freddie mouth. He’s easily the best frontman of all time, one of the best singers, and one of the most outrageous people who loved to make statements in existence. He was a masterpiece of a man and he had a mouth, this probably would have been something he said❤️😂
Get live aid to #2, my #1 is "I’ve got it" "Got what?" "Aids" "...Freddie" "Im so sor-" "Brian stop" That entire scene was just so damn powerful
Gabriel queen
Apparently, Freddie had that same "stop" attitude up until he died.
And it didn't even get a honorable mention
And that scene is why Rami malek won the oscar, his acting is superb in the whole movie, but in that scene its just outstanding
I lost it at that scene and no tissues left thankfully the lady next to me had a spare pack, she was crying as well. I can't imagine how Brian, Roger and John felt. RIP Freddie 🙏
The credits made me bawl. When “The Show Must Go On” played, I couldn’t stop. Freddie may not be on earth, but his heart, presence, and music will always be loved. His show HAS gone on. ❤️❤️
Broadway Sydney underrated comment
Me in the cinema: I'M 😭😭😭 GONNA HAVE MYSELF 😭😭😭😭 A REAL GOOD TIME
I also believe that a part of Freddie lives in Rami Malek since he took that role.
Perfectly put!!! love your comment.
I cry every time I hear show must go on
Most memorable moment in the theater: everyone sang along during Live Aid. Also we responded during Freddie's EEE OOO. It feels like we're watching a time traveling livestream of the Live Aid of 1985.
for me, when i cried for the first time watching the movie (yes. i watched it a few times and i still cried).
That happened to me too!!!
We in the netherlands never talk or sing in movie theaters. I don't know why americans think that's normal. Just be silent. We have a sing along gor people who want to sing along.
Dr. Loomis Uh....? It kinda happens a lot soooooo
Dr. Loomis Uh ok? Maybe where you live but where I live, it happens ALL THE TIME. And I love it because it’s fun to connect to other people and if we’re all having a good time then I think it’s great. ***YOU DONT HAVE TO BE RUDE JUST BECAUSE YOURE JEALOUS DARLING***
Can we just say the whole movie was just a masterpiece
The editing was trash
Edgy videos made by a bunch of idiots Traitor!
There's a split comparison with the movie and the actual live aid performance. They completely nailed. Look it up!
No
It's not a masterpiece. Good performances, a highly fictionalized version of the band's time, enjoyable, but not a masterpiece.
"And this is the hardest because its not even your fault" 😭😭😭😭

Did anyone notice how the ending symbolized how Queen eventually ended up?: Freddie gets off stage first due to him dying in 1991. John leaves second due to this retirement in 1997. Brian and Roger remain on stage since they’re stilling touring together with Adam Lambert.

1: the whole bloody movie because it was a damn masterpiece
I already knew that was Rami, the more I continue watching the movie I totally forgot it was Rami.
for gracious sakes Rami had blue eyes they should have fixed that
I know right? The eyes don’t really bother me too much because Rami’s eyes are way bigger than Freddie’s and although his eyes are blue and not dark brown (like Freddie’s) it really captures his emotions and transmits it to you, the viewer. Coloured contacts are fine but it doesn’t mean it could make an expression. Besides I heard the reason why his eyes stays blue is because he’s allergic to contacts :)
@@carolemcintire8304 I know this is a year late, but they originally did have brown contacts for Rami to wear, but decided not to do it because they were irritating Rami's eyes a lot.
I never forgotten that was Rami, I forgot that's not the real Brian.
But still it was a good movie
The movie was so much better than I expected~
Roland Schlösser This movie was so much worst than I expected! 😢😢
And here we have comparison of opinions based on entertainment vs historical accuracy
Davi Krasilchik why ? What did you not like about it ?
It figures there's always a prick in here slamming a great movie
@@rubenweber6742 I have no problem with the inaccuracy . I have problems with the over the top, too predictable script !
I would have added two, one where Freddie says there's only room in this band for one hysterical queen. The other is them recording the song Seven Seas of Rhye. Its just chaos in that studio, amps swingingg from the roof, a bucket over a micriphone, Miracas on the piano strings and coins on the drums. Its madness and I love it!
The scene where Freddie lights his lamp and waiting to see Mary do the same was pretty sad and a moment that did capture some of Freddie's loneliness. I always knew he felt that back in the day when I did get a number of chances to see them live with Freddie. Broke my heart then and did it again when I watched that scene in the movie.
That Ay Oh Freddy did with that other sick guy was my favorite part of the whole movie!
Mister WiZeguy me too
That poor kid was no doubt dying from AIDS, too, much more advanced than Freddie was at that moment. But I'm sure he took that beautiful moment to his grave. So sad.

Ima be honest, I’ve never really listened to their music and all of a sudden I was taken to a movie theater to watch this movie with my cousin. I had no choice bu to go. After the movie I was shell shocked and amazed how amazing it was and how connected I felt. The music was amazing and the humor was perfect for this movie. Safe to say I became a queen Fan👑🗣

To me Gwilym Lee is the unsung hero - not that the rest of the cast did a bad job (on the contrary), but the way he nailed the Brian May character - his speaking voice in particular - was uncanny!
He first attracted my attention as DS Charlie Nelson in "Midsomer Murders"!
I absolutely agree. I watched the movie several times in Germany, where it's synchronized. I was already impressed by Gwylim's acting and looking, but when I watched some of the scenes in English I was just overwhelmed. He just nailed it and deserves way more appreciation for this work!

I think Freddie's apology scene was one of the best. He humbled himself to the nth degree, and threw himself at the mercy of his band mates. That was an awesome scene!
Yes! And in the scene just prior to that, when Freddie calls up Jim Beach and instead of being his usual obnoxious self, he doesn't refer to him as Miami... he quietly calls him 'Jim'. The only time in the whole film that Freddie refers to Jim Beach by his real name without any hint of mocking him. Very humble, very poignant. :'(

The best scene in the movie was between Freddie and Mary, in the Radio Station. When they went to a wide shot with Mary (on the outside looking in) and Freddie being his true self with the DJ. That's when Mary stopped denying what she had always suspected and realized Freddie was Gay. That scene was perfectly framed. Mary to the left of frame, a huge Queen poster in center of frame, and Freddie holding court to the right of frame.
funny enough, thats no ordinary dj, thats kenny everett, and hes also canonically gay and they actually went to gay bars together (in the mid 70s i think?) but they were never a couple
