    • That is a the factory bull bar, roof rack is a curt brand. Enjoy your '97 SR it's a beast; if you look at my recent videos, my Montero has been built up since this video with 320k on the original motor.

    • @@ricerupert wow nice! mine has 260k. What kind of essential maintenance have you needed to do? have to had an issues with the driver side window not rolling down? or the compass/temp gauge backlight not working?

    • @@HDBrizzy I've had replace the driver side window motor once but it does struggle to go up when I don't lube it, I think has to do with the old glass rubber guide. As far maintenance, just regular maintenance but make sure you change your water pump and timing belt if you haven't already.

    • @@ricerupert TB and water pump are next on my list, not sure if PO did it. Its leaking oil from the valve covers so plan on doing that at the same time. I noticed i didnt hear the valve tick from yours. have you done the VLAs and valve stem seals?

    • Yes, I believe some owners are running that setup with the factory wheels but I suggest getting re-geared to 4.9.

    • On the video I still had the facotry 4.2 diff gears and the 1:9 stock transfer case gears on 32 inch all terrains. My current is setup is 4.9 diff gears with the stock transfer case gear, running on 35 inch mud terrain tires. I'll be upgrading the transfer case gears with the Marks 3:15 crawler gears soon... Hope that helped.

    @tonyrodriguez3510@tonyrodriguez35103 жыл бұрын
    • I'm not 100% sure but what I do know is the gear ratio is different. '96 and below years had 4.6 gears and '97 up are 4.27 gears. On my current videos I did swap to 4.9 gears from a Montero Sport and added a TRE front locker. I would ask on the Mitsubishi Montero USA Facebook group or on the forums.
