  • You just saved me from buying a mesh only chair. I always doubted the concept and the ones I tried didn't sold me on it but I assumed you eventually get used to it. That was before I saw you go through serious practical limitations of mesh seats specifically that will affect me. I have no issues with mesh backrest, but I mesh backrest and cushions seat is the perfect in between.

  • Hey guys any tips for a more affordable type of chair? I had a cheap $100 mesh chair which was comfortable but poor build quality the plastic snapped on the backrest after a few months. I just spend $250 2 days ago to try out an Andaseat gaming chair (first gaming chair) and am not a fan of the racer type chair tbh I think you're paying for style even though its great material and build quality, not the most comfortable, so I'm thinking of sending it back and going with something better for around the same price if possible.. My question is, if you have to pay ALOT for a good mesh chair, gaming chairs are not it either. Is there anything with value for money, like other types of office chairs? Thanks to anyone in advance!

  • That foam support at the front of the seat had me returning 2 different chairs. I wanted more air circulation in the seat but this seems to be too much of a niche engineering problem to be affordable. Thanks for clarifying the issues!

  • I have an Aeron in my home office and am starting to regret getting a mesh chair due to it forcing me to sit a certain way all day. I have an Amia and Leap at my office and find them to be more comfortable for long duration sitting. I like the seat of the Amia and the back of the Leap. • These aren't for everyone, but all that matters is that it's perfect for me. Low end mesh chairs can definitely put one off from ever buying a high end mesh chair, but the difference is honestly night and day. I hated mesh chairs before I got the Aeron, and was I strongly considering the Embody or Leap v2. But the Aeron is awesome, and it's helped improve my productivity immensely.

  • I honestly don't see any upsides to having any mesh on a seat for the consumer. I'm convinced this is a trend that's being forced by corporations because it's far cheaper and easier to manufacture a plastic web than a fabric seat, and they can market them as futuristic to keep prices high and increase margins. If you want a great and comfortable chair you should be looking for 24-hour certified chairs and not office chairs. These are chairs designed to be sat in for up to 24 hours for long operations shifts, and come with a certification from doctors. A good chair should enable you to sit in multiple different positions as this encourages blood flow, and that's why when you start looking at these kinds of seats you'll immediately notice that none of them use Mesh as it's far too restrictive. I bought a mesh seat falling for the marketing at first, but instantly returned it as it was inferior in every meaningful way compared to the fabric seat I already owned which cost half as much. As this video highlights they're more inconvenient in practically every way. Don't fall for this trend.

    @EverLightMusic@EverLightMusic2 ай бұрын
    • Right, it’s just not practical sitting in the same position for 8 hours a day without the ability to adjust seat depth and sit cross legged. The mesh is just too firm after a long period of time. I prefer padded cushion seats. As for being inferior I would disagree as there are mesh chairs like the Aeron that can last a long time vs leather cushion seats that goes flat after several months of uses. I will consider trying those 24 hour seats if I have the budget for it.

But as you can imagine, things were missed in the last one, so we added quite a bit more information to the new video. Additionally, we talk about products on our channel and new products come out all the time. This means that something may have changed in the category or there are better solutions to problems that may have existed before. Either way, when we make a similar video, we always bring more value than the previous one. -Greg

    • Weird take, but I'll just assume you view most things in life in a negative way like this. That is unfortunate, but understandable in the world we currently live in. I'll help though... This was a GREAT video that brings to light things that most don't consider when choosing what type of chair they want. If anything, this is an informational video that the title would suggest it's in favor of all non-mesh office chairs. Yet Robert states one of his favorite chairs is a mesh office chair within the first 15 seconds... -Greg
