T&H Inspiration is on a mission to share inspiring wisdom. The goal is to have you pause, think, and reflect. Many of our videos revolve around the extraordinary teachings of Alan Watts that we produce with permission from the Alan Watts Electronic University.
T&H also films and releases original interviews with iconic people who have experienced successes, while also persevering through life's highs and lows. We look forward to sharing more of these perspectives and insights.
Our hope with these videos is to push your thinking. As Alan Watts said “No one is more dangerously insane than one who is sane all the time: he is like a steel bridge without flexibility, and the order of his life is rigid and brittle.” - Alan Watts.

And then he would smile. And then you would smile because he smiled, knowing that his smile was your smile. I love you seriously because I am you and you are Alan Watts and Alan Watts is me. We are the experience. Man just imagine if I took some psychedelics. I never have but just try to imagine.

  • “There is an expression in Chinese which means “the flow of thoughts” or what we call “streams of consciousness”, and so you will notice that thought follows thought follows thought the thoughts arise and go like waves on the water. All the time they come and go and when they go, they are as if I’ve never been here. So actually, this shows your mind doesn’t stick, really. You could get the illusion of it sticking by for example cycling the same succession of thoughts over and over again, and that gives a sense of permanence… and it is from these connecting of thoughts that we get the sensation that behind our thoughts there is a thinker who controls them and experiences them, although, the notion that there is a thinker is just one member in the stream of thoughts. But you know, in your stream of thought and experience I am in object, and a very fleeting and passing one, and concert also in my stream of experience you also are people who come and go. We are all living in the same world. We think, there is “me” and there is an “external world” around me, but I am in your external world, and you are in my external world, and if you think about that you see we are all in one world going along together. There isn’t really the internal in the external, there is simply the process. It’s very important to get rid of that illusion of duality between the thinker and the thought. So, find out who is the thinker behind the thoughts. Who is the real genuine you?” -- Alan Watts

    @markriva4259@markriva4259 Жыл бұрын
    • Watts reminded us: that every inside has an outside, and vice versa (e.g., organism/environment). This polarity of inseparable opposites are ‘two’ that are also ‘one’ thing or process. Each implies the other. This appears to make polarity and non-duality the same. Thus, thinker and thought, higher and lower selves…etc., conceptually form non-dual unity that ‘go together’ like two sides of a snake as it swims-in polar tension. Concave/convex: different, yet the same.

    • Realizing you know nothing is the first step. Like when a baby i born he/she knows nothing, A blank slate. Once you realize you know nothing, it's as if you were re born, or reset. This time navigate the dream selfishly. What I mean is do not let external factors such as asleep people aka egos fill your head with a bunch of bs. Think for yourself, question everything, analyze everything, be playful with everything. Be aware that ego will try to reform a new self, as ego is stubborn as hell. Keep an eye out for whenever you're speaking opinion rather then truth, if you can be hyper aware and catch when ego tries to make it's move, you can push it back away into the void, and it will have to wait to swing by again to try to create another self.
