A very comfortable warmup at this stage over 1 h & a quarter. Fewer games playing, but Svitolina shows how fit she is. Let's see how she plays Sabalenka, as she'd be a serious challenger. Some time should have passed since both met last time. Kalinskaya recently surged in the ranking is an interesting player. If she keeps her position where she's now, chance for her to become a household name wouod come true. Good luck!

What a signal it would be to Ukrainian soldiers if they see a Ukrainian shaking hands with someone from Russia, all the while their comrades are being killed by the very Russians. Among other things, these soldiers get motivation and enthusiasm from seeing compatriots fighting in their own way - for example on a tennis court. And then you can ask yourself, while you are sitting in calm, safe and peaceful surroundings, how you would feel if your country was invaded by a nation and bombed to pieces etc.

I must admit i was surprized by this result.! Anna played way below her level and Svitolina capitilized on that. I just dont like Svitolina. Period.! The Ukranians are all a pain in the but with their bad sportmanship. Makes me happy if they loose. Specialy against Russian players that all to be so friendly.
