  • It’s about breeding aggression into dogs, poor ownership and basic expectations for having controlled dogs, I’ve had 2 instances now with the same xl bully. Owner had no control, came from one side of the field to the other and me and my dog couldn’t get away from it. Police do nothing. They cba that’s a huge problem too, they wait till it’s too late and someone does get injured

  • I wish Angela would answer this question, If YOUR little Shitzu was mauled and killed in front of you, would your opinion be the same ? Because I’m in groups on Facebook for people who have had that happen to them and these peoples lives will never be the same again, they have PTSD, depression, flashbacks, nightmares, and probably will have for the rest of their lives, our dogs are just like babies to us, it’s like lost a child, I wonder if she knows that (around) 300 dogs were injured or killed by them last year 🤔💔, I’ve seen many of them on social media, people have paid thousands in vets bills (still having it to pay when they die the next day because the injuries were too severe) , I’ve seen people who have paid as much as £12,000 , and worse still, the owners always flee the scene to escape prosecution (and vets bills), Angela love, you have no idea the destruction/devastation these dogs have caused for people who have lost their loved ones (people and pets) people need to think about the REAL victims in all of this, people who have had their lives ruined just because people CHOSE to own a dangerous animal, and , I AM one of the biggest animal lovers anyone could meet, not just dogs but ALL animals

  • Shitzu’s are not killing people and it does not matter if they are loved, trained, they CAN still attack and they HAVE ATTACK MANY TIMES, I’ve seen it time and time again where they have been loving pets for years and years and have been fine until the day when they turned for no reason and WITHOUT any warning, they have pit bull in them, and it’s not so much their bite force it is their desire to to attack, fight, kill .

  • Why would you want to have dogs that fight even each other that badly and have to deal with what Marina had to in the park, why not have two labradors or golden retrievers?

    @maximoo9861@maximoo98613 ай бұрын
    • You do realise that you can get bad labs and retreivers, right? You should see the way my neighbour's Labrador goes on. Lots of complaints about it but because it's a Labrador nothing gets done

      @Keeks_x@Keeks_x3 ай бұрын
    • @@Keeks_x their jaws don't lock though like the bull breeds which means when they fight they can't be separated, which is why Marina had such trouble in the park, and when they bite a child they can kill it cos they don't let go. A Labrador bites then lets go

  • Patrick from Bristol - we haven't, actually, culled any breeds of dog. This makes your question about 'How many breeds of dog do we need to cull before we realise culls don't work?' very odd. Extremely premature. You want us to guess? Maybe, in places like India, there are sporadic culls on feral street dog packs but it's more about controlling numbers and pack size (big packs, singularly intent on finding a vulnerable human to eat, are much more capable of fulfilling their objective than a single environmentally homogenised feral dog) than anything breed specific. Those feral packs in India - they're not a breed. They're what happens when nature and environment take over when humans are no longer interested in engineering breeds. The fact is - we haven't tried breed specific culling. It may be the case that it's an instant improvement. We don't know (we can get a rough idea about the impact of BSL by looking at North America where each state can decide whether to use it or not - but BSL isn't breed specific culling. It's legislation - like the UK 'ban' is BSL.). Personally, I don't want the situation to get serious enough to need to seriously consider a breed specific cull (our government has a hell of a lot to answer for with them letting the genie get so far from the neck of the bottle). I think this whole program set up is deeply antagonistic and maybe that first la la land XLB owner, who phoned in, was cherry picked to exemplify type (if it was purely by accident that she turned out to be utterly detached from logic and reality - oh dear... Not another one.. It would be quite refreshing to encounter one that's not, to some degree, worryingly deranged.).

  • The lumps phoning up... Not one can see objectively. It's in the interest of the people not to breed a dog that is more likely to attack. Just the name, "bully." It's a combination of the bred aggression in these dogs and the kind of owners this appeals to.

    @pagliacci2942@pagliacci29423 ай бұрын
    • "Just the name bully" is short for Bulldog. You clearly are uneducated on the matter. "It's in the interest of the people, not to breed dogs that are more likely to attack" is a false statement. Contrary to propaganda, Xl Bulldogs, (mixed from American bulldogs, Old English bulldogs, French Bulldog, Pit bull terror (small percentage argued 7 to 15% which is why they can't be dna'd as dangerous)not Pitbulls and Staffies as posted mainstream. They were bred to lower the prey drive and make them a companion dog, similar to a Staffie(The nanny dog) to be tolerant and loyal to children and family's. Please do your research, instead of spewing false information. You try to victim shame an owners who like, and are compatible with this breed. Do you think this about all large dog owners? Ever wondered why there are no problems with this breed in USA? Where they originate.

      @slurpeeBeanz@slurpeeBeanz3 ай бұрын
    • @slurpeeBeanz Clearly. "Breeders have acknowledged that American Bully dogs can be very dangerous if improperly raised or bred." Get a companion that's not capable of killing a human being if it snsps due to its physicality.

      @pagliacci2942@pagliacci29423 ай бұрын
    • @@pagliacci2942 Clearly ANY dog can be dangerous if not raised properly. That's why licencing and routine tests for people who handle large breeds should be the way to go. Not a blanket ban, which mixes up many breeds in its description. Whilst unable to use your dogs dna to identify it. Absolutely crackers, and it won't stop criminal elements obtaining a loophole, but penalise good responsible owners. Ineffective to say the least. Plenty of dogs large and small are capable of killing a human in the wrong hands. What's your point? Do you just want to mass kill a breed, instead of rightly punish the owner as they've used their dog as a weapon or been grossly irresponsible? Probably. You used the world 'objectively' in your about comment. I suggest you can't 'see the wood for the tree's'. From my short discussion with you, you don't seem knowledgeable on the subject.

That is from the owners own mouth when he gave a sob-sob interview. As for 'kill-em-all' Bleksley, The death penalty for humans was abolished because wrongly accused people can't come back to life, and nor can dogs.

Here is a bit of advice if you can't control your dog then you have the wrong breed, get a breed you can control.

  • I've been attacked by both pit bulls Mastiffs and a German Pinscher. And a Rottweiler. I remember telling my dad about that when we were going up to see my older sister and her husband and I was telling him about how much I hated Rottweilers or mastiffs and German pinschers and when we got to her place she had a Rottweiler who was bred with a German Pinscher. And the dog was extremely docile very much like a little puppy. But even though I saw how they were with my sister and her husband I could see that they seem to be docile and quite just wanting to be loved and petted and so forth. I still did not put myself into a position where it was just them and myself alone or that they were in a place where they could get to me quite easily where I could get out of there in a given him a moment. I know my sister had said that when she first saw the dog she also was very Weary at the idea of having her. But when her next door neighbors told her that she would do wise to have that dog because of the fact that if the dog would become the kind that would respond to such things as bears and other animals like that there's Bears aren't the most dangerous thing up in the mile zero of Alaska Highway area British Columbia. Moose and other large game like that can be very dangerous to humans. But still no I'd rather have the animal I have with me right now. And that's not somebody I have to take out to go do their business outside. The cat that that I have only two areas that I need to go to clean out the toilet that she uses. She's a lot easier to take care of than somebody who's constantly always needing me or they're going to be barking all day long without me being here.

I have a bully that is the sweetest goofiest little thing, I had a mini dachshund rescue before that was viscous because he was abused - the lies are that the dog was breed to attack that’s not true at all do your research!
