    • @pAtRiCk StAr IMO, they're both a testimony for the sad state of HW boxing over the last 20 years. Without their height and reach advantages, their soft chins would've been exposed many times. Case in point: the only exciting fight these 2 had, except when they weren't getting pounded into submission, was against each other. With the same height and reach, it wasn't so easy for either of them to play jab and grab and run away. Fury easily exposed how limited the "seasoned" Klitschko was for the same reason. Ruiz exposed the "warrior beast" Joshua by making him switch styles and using Klitschko-like tactics to get by him.Povetkin, Haye, Parker (not great fighters) whip them both if they had the same height and reach.

Wilder had 22 fights against guys ranked 492 and when he did 32 fights stil fighting guys ranked 192. AJ allready had 2or3 belts after 22 fights (against higher ranked opponents). I want to see AJ against Wilder.

His chin held up, he never gave up, fell down and went back up, and even after the brutal tko he kept coming back. He has lost the speed and the chin he had 10 years ago but not the will, the determination, the IQ nor the power that made him where he is. True champion. And AJ deserves a huge amount of respect for beating such champion.

Only Klitschko another elite boxer in 2009 (canceled because povetkin injury) and 2013 to finaly fought him. This year, 2020, in the age of 41 povetkin still show his skills even though with less speed, stamina, and power.

First of all, AJ was very disciplined in respecting Povetkin left hand by keeping his right well covering his side and chin. The other point I noticed is avoid getting into a brawl with a polished boxer and controlled him with the jab. Overall a well prepared and well executed game plan.

  • This just goes to show you AJs underrated durability, gets shaken, goes down but never been knocked out, always gets back up and comes back, with that power and dominant athleticism over his opps from Brezeale to Takam, Parker, Whyte, Klitschko, Povetkin and Ruiz. Underrated tough beast of a boxer. Imagine taking those punches, breaking your nose, getting hit flush by top heavyweights and getting back to win or rematching and outclassing speed with technique. Pure scholar of the sweet science AJ. And people wonder why he has majority of the belts and is an Olympic Gold Medalist because of his humble nature. Not flashy or talkative like Wilder or Fury. Quietly dominating the division. He's Tyson Fury's biggest test and Fury knows he's going to have to work on his power and timing to beat AJ but the Athleticism, power and durability would see AJ become unified 2 time World Champ. "No one has ever defeated Povetkin in this fashion and he's tougher than Fury" so do the maths Fury is also the perfect height to take AJs combos the same way he took it in sparring, he'll be hoping to not get KO'd again. AJ is way better than the one trick pony Wilder technically who he called out in this fight and ducked, he signed the contract, Wilder didn't and ended up talking and talking instead of putting pen to paper, avoiding to meet, making bogus offers, AJ's calm and controlled under pressure and his finish is lethal and calculated once he smells blood.

    • Was DESTROYING Ruiz before he got caught.. What were you watching?

      @lboog7778@lboog77783 жыл бұрын
    • @Jardani Law you make it sound like he was outperformed from start to finish, before he got caught on the temple, he floored Ruiz and was making light work of him. It's an established fact that the patience to plan a calculated finish wasn't there unlike his other fights because he didn't really know Ruiz, or have any motivation to fight him(Ruiz literaly had nothing worth Joshua fighting him for, not a belt or any clout, besides he lost to Parker who AJ already beat) and he was a last minute replacement for the drugged up big mouth. So when you talk about performance Ruiz himself knows he's not on the same level rather he landed a lucky shot and capitalised on it, its the simple reason he couldn't defend the belts like AJ had done against more solid fighters. For example, you wouldn't match Ruiz and Klitschko. However, it's worth noting that with a bit more recovery rounds like he had against Klitschko, had the fight not been stopped the experience and stamina would have gotten the better of Ruiz, nevertheless AJ was not KO'd in that fight, the same thing would have happened had the ref waved off the Klitschko fight early.

      @Rymzo1@Rymzo13 жыл бұрын
  • Favorite and Joshuas best fight hands down. Changing levels. Establishing a strong jab. Moving his head around and picking his shots. If he boxes like that with Ruiz he will definitely win.
