    • Thank you. Hopefully no one uses cooking oil for their vehicles interior though. Might look cool if you like the shiny look. However it will attract dust and dirt, attract uv light to that part of your vehicle and begin breaking it down (plastics). They will begin getting lighter in color etc. Best to avoid cooking oils while detailing your vehicle exterior and interior.

  • Never put olive oil on your dashboard ! It can become sticky and might damage leather/plastic. Not everything organic is always better, buy a dashboard spray (which is a multi surface polisher) can instead as it is made to do this job and wont damage clear plastic or leather.

  • WARNING DO NOT USE vinegar on your windshield. Yah sure It will clean those hard water streaks but get ready for bigger and expensive problem like a new PAINT JOB and RUST REPAIR. because of the corrosion cause by acid in the vinegar. Even you wash the vinegar out with water the acid had already seeped in between the glass, rubber and metal part of the car body. The oxidation damage had started and this accumulates over time into rust.

    • While all that sounds wonderful. The reality is that a lot of those "pesky" home recipes work the treat! I can't argue that certain specific professional products offer better end results or even easier usage. But from that to say that it will "damage", goes a long distance. As an example. There's comments in this section saying olive oil will damage leather and plastics... Those are absolutely stupid and ridiculously ignorant comments! And many people buy it. That's the most shocking!! ;-)

  • Not so sure about the last one When creating Batik the last step is to remove the excess wax from the fabric. waxed paper isn't very absorbent. I was taught to use newspaper to absorb the wax as you're hearing it with the iron. But also make darn sure the print ink doesn't bleed. Paper towels seem safer in this application then you still have pigments to consider. But trying to be a naysayer, but do want to save anytime from creating a nightmare of a mess!❤

  • Never simply wash your car with a soapy sponge, it will just rub all the tiny grit & dirt particles into your paint surface...Always jetwash if possible first, and also apply TFR (traffic film remover) before jetwashing is possible, to remove the grit/top surface dirt...After this stage, only then should you apply your soap/shampoo with a soft woolly mitt, then jetwash off and dry your car with a wash-leather cloth for a no smears shine.

  • This video obviously was not done by a car guy. I wouldn't do at least half of these. Vinegar and newspaper doesn't work well at all if your windshield has something tough like bug guts or hard water spots. And nobody would recommend a toothbrush on your interior, its too harsh and will wear it prematurely. If you want to clean your car go watch Chrisfix, ammo NYC, or car cleaning guru.
