I never really thought I needed to spend the extra money on Airbus throttle handles, but when I saw how easy it is to set the 4 detents for the flaps and how they lock in place I am going to seriously consider these. The reverse thrust detents are much better suited for the Airbus too! Thanks Mark.
Thanks for this. On quick glance, I did not even notice that the inner engine levers could still be used with the A/T buttons and that the friction lever on the flaps worked like that. Thanks!

Thanks mark, i forgot I’d ordered mine a while back and got them the same day as you but in Canada. I’m very impressed with the quality and their ingenuity/innovated design, totally worth the money I think. I’ve also got the thrustmaster airbus quad and add on, and actually prefer flying the fbw a320 with that as it’s got the engine, auto brake etc and all the axis have detents.

As always very informative video. Thanks for providing some info on the new airbus throttle levers. As the video is geared towards MSFS 2000 users, I wonder if you could make a setting-up guide for X-Plane users, especially how to create aircraft specific profiles with the honeycomb configurator tool. There are very few videos out there that explain the process for X-Plane. Maybe you could address the question of X-Plane settings and how it will recognise a profile that was created in the configurator tool?

Though nice, it lacks the typical Airbus detents (' click') flex and climb. I prefer the thrustmaster TCA flying Airbus and the Bravo for everything else.
Hi Mark. I realize you did this video a while back but I was wondering if you tried to set up the Bravo with the FBW A320? I am using the standard airliner controls (white ones) and seem to be having trouble with throttle 1. Pressing the handle slowly forward, the throttle in the sim just jumps to full power wheras throttle 2 moves slowly in line with my physical movement. It works fine with the ASOBO A320 as well as the 787 and an A330 I have. Any thoughts? I have checked my assignments many times but the FBW does not seem to cooperate. Thanks!
The FBW uses some non-standard bindings unfortunately. Difficult to resolve without access to a configurator.
POINT OF CORRECTION: Doing further tests yesterday it would appear the reversers are mappable. Buttons 30 and 48 etc. I have finally figured out why throttle two reverser is not registering on my Bravo. I have an early production/review model that has only two contacts on the fourth axis, production models have three.

Hello my friend. I was wondering how can I change the assignment for the reverser. I was able to change the assignment for the decrease thrust, but the reverse thrust don't work and I can't delete the 30 and 48 assignments since they don't show when I press the input.
@@perohijo to test the button activation use search by input and activate lever. Move axis along travel in a few places to see if it will register in a different position. As stated in video you need to give it a good push down (the handle) to ensure it is seated correctly.
@@SimHangerFS Sorry. That is not my problem. As some of you mentioned here, the reverse levers are already mapped. After I did the same thing you did, my reverse levers show the 30 and 48 as opposed as nothing, like you show on this video, so if I want to delete, or change the input, I can't because when I check by input it doesn't show on the right so I could delete it. The "throttle decrease" works fine, but not the reverse thrust. I don't know how in your video it doesn't show the reverse already assigned when you move the lever, so I'm sure that is the problem for me anyway. I don't have any problem with the other levers for the Boeing, I don't know why this ones don't work.
Received mine last week too but haven’t a chance to configure them. But they sure look and feel great. (As you dutiful mentioned!) Your info will certainly help when I get back in my pilots seat and fly the ‘20. What I didn’t know was that those buttons come off. Didn’t understand your above edit too. Tho I don’t think it will be a problem. I’m also curious as to all those super magnets around our hands... If my hands become magnetized, will it help or hinder while cooking. I may end up looking like Edward ScissorHands! Thanks for the info but do watch out for those super strong magnets 😂

haven't got mine yet. In the mean time, can I just configure the same as you did for the standard Bravo levers? it looks like those are just locking points (as you stated) and don't have an electrical "switch" involved. So If I take my levers past that bottom detent, they go into thrust mode with buttons 26 & 27?
Hi, yes no problem, however with further tests yesterday I think the levers are mappable, buttons 30 and 48. Just didn’t register for me on initial test. Regards

what are the read buttons held on by magnets for? should they be mapped to something?

Hi, not configured by default. You can config to suit yourself as they are recognised as simple buttons. Regards

Can I install throttles 1-3 to sim the MD-11? I understand I will have only 2 reverses (i can bind those to engs. 1 and 3 on the MD-11, no prob).

In the new A320NX development version with the custom FBW, the throttle levers need to be calibrated in the EFB. I got my Airbus throttle pack yesterday and installed it and worked just fine. But now that I’ve installed the development version and trying to calibrate the levers, since the reverse is now a joystick input, I am struggling to separate idle, from rev idle and full idle. Any advice on how calibrate the A320NX development now with the Bravo Quadrant Airbus Pack? Thanks
I think I solved it. I deselected reverser on axis, then carefully aligned with IDLE, and click apply, and now is holding at that detente
I just got the throttle pack. in MSFS/FBW A32X I'm trying to map the right engine red button to disconnect the auto throttle but cant figure out to which event or simvar to bind the button. any hint?
That's a shame that the spoiler lever doesn't have the pull up system for arm like the real aircraft, the rest is very accurate
i think they should do packs like this for the velocity one
Why would you assign a button to Auto-Throttle disconnect in an Airbus? the AT disconnects as soon as you move the leavers out of the CLB position. Its different logic from Boeing, you don't need to disconnect the AT to take manual control of the leavers.
just received mine and I noticed that lifting the reverse thrust activates joystick stick button 30 and 48 for the right. where yours does not?
Been doing further tests today. Mine does also register these as buttons, but not every time. Not an issue for configuration though.

Hello i have a big problem with the throttle axis configure, it is not going to 0 power it is going direct in reverse thrust, the reverser buttons i also configured but in game it is ignore on FBW airbus i must push my throttle a bit up to find the idle, cant go down till lock, cause then i am in reverse thrust. anyone an idea? Last week it worked like yours, think the new Patch made something
Can you put throttle #2 on the first slot on the Bravo so you could use the reverse lever stop with the C208, but not need it in the number 3 slot?
No you can’t as the 1st lever does not have enough actuators (contact points) for this.

I got the throttle back but one thing still lingering the thrust reverser. The key bind that you did on the video didn't move the throttle in sim to the reverse area, no respond, no movement.
Check there is no other binding conflicting. Otherwise uninstall bravo driver and start again. Sounds as though something is corrupted perhaps?
i GOT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE IMPUT. 30 AND 48, AND WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE , THE REVERSE THRUST DOES NOT WORK.
What i dont understand about the Bravo Quadrant is, given that the whole thing itself is actually a quite big device, why did they made the lever section so narrow and the levers thus so small ? They could have easily given them their real life size and the Quadrant itself would not have become any bigger by that. The front part would have simply become as broad as the device already is anyway.
It's a fair observation, but I assume it all related to tooling and material costs at the end of the day?
Although I love my Bravo, that is my main complaint about it...the handles are too small. It was killing a bit of the realism and immersion for me using such small handles, that I decided to design and 3D print some that are a bit larger. Those, along with the Flapmodster flap mod has made the Bravo so much better!

Hi, I just bought the airbus throttle pack. I'm still using my p3d v. 4.5. Hence I do not benefit from your amazing video. I tried several times. I'm not able to program my two levers. Another issue happens with the flap lever. the flaps can only be retracted within a range of 2 and 3. It's not possible to choose the option "flaps up" or "flaps fully retracted". :-( Maybe you can help me? In the moment I'm a little desperate. I feel myself lost!! I would appreciate any help on this subject. with kind regards
In terms of the flaps try recalibrate the axis in windows to ensure you get the full range of movement. . Unfortunately I no longer have P3D installed on my PC so not able to test/check for a solution. Sorry.
Have you been able to configure the auto throttle disconnect button? It’s not working for me, it doesn’t recognise me pressing the button even in controls page.
Make sure it's on the correct side. The inside of the button has an L or R, they need to be on the correct side and the letter should be right side up.
Hi, yes I have configured it, Auto-throttle connect and disconnect ...using the buttons....but I have the same problem as you, it does not always see the button on throttle one....frustrating.
I did create the same profile as suggested here, but for some reason I cannot delete the button assignment because it doesn't show when I press the button. How can I delete the assignment so it would work?
Make sure the throttles are set up on axis two and three or three and four. Only these axis have enough contacts to activate button and reverser. Not sure why you can’t delete. If all else fails create new profile from default. Regards
seems nice... but still waiting for Honeycomb to deliver all the backorder Bravo Quadrant itself... Ordered mine in early december, was supposed to land on february... still not in sight and we are in may soon...wtf.
Same here, looks nice, thank you for the video! But Honeycomb would better produce the throttle itself in sufficient amounts than assemble addons
@@ursschneider3016 Honeycomb has no ability to produce anything itself. They design the products and then contract the production out to large production facilities in China that already have the tooling and expertise to do it. However, due to severe component/raw material shortages caused by the ongoing pandemic, many of these production lines can't source the materials they need in order to complete the contracts they have taken on. I know it is frustrating for consumers who have ordered products months ago and still haven't received word on when they will ship but I would imagine that Honeycomb is more frustrated with the situation than any of its customers. For most of us this is just a hobby but for them it is their livelihood. I'm trying to keep that in mind as I wait for my order to be fulfilled.

I think I broke the A32NX dev version while calibrating the throttle with the bravo. The initial calibration was fine then I moved to calibrate the thrust reversers and not knowing what to do, I got it stuck at in the thrust reversers state. It won't move neither in sim as I used the mouse to move it off the reverse nor the brabo. Is there anyway to reset the calibration, so I can start fresh? I delete the plane of the community and reinstall 3 or 4 times but it still stuck. Any help will be awesome.
Sounds very frustrating, not sure what to do except maybe uninstall bravo app and try again?
@@SimHangerFS I gone to the default A320 and all peripharels are working just fine. Something in the FBW that is broken. They haven't update anything since the launch of moving experimental over to dev.
@@buikhan the FBW version uses some bespoke controls, not default. That I think is why.
@@SimHangerFS FBW stable version worked with my peripheral though. Never a problem with this since I got it the first time.
Does this have throttle detents for like CL ,FLX, and TOGA
They fit on the Bravo TQ axis. No separate detents, but markings on the axis itself.
One question I forgot to ask, do still need to calibrate the using built in calibration tool like I seen in other video
No you don’t, but it is recommended.

Okay weird, I just got mine and the reverse levers on mine -are- mappable buttons: button 30 for the left engine, 48 for the right engine. (The AT disconnect buttons are 10 and 11, respectively, in the two engine configuration.)
Hi Ellie, I did further tests today and you are right they appear to be mappable....48 does not seem to come up all the time for me?
@@SimHangerFS i think it may be tied to having the auto throttle buttons properly attached and right side up (or the metal caps in their place). The buttons have a small "L" and "R" inside that I think need to be on the correct handle and right way up.
@@EllieODaire hello, the left and right buttons have their magnetic polarity reversed so you can’t attach them to the “wrong” throttle handle. It doesn’t seem to matter which way up the button is mounted once attached from a config point of view. I do seem to have an issue with button 48 not always registering?

I finally think I have found out why...your fourth axis has three contact points from what I see in your vid, mine has only two (mine was an early review sample from Honeycomb). This throttle pack shows to be for Airbus A319 - A380. Can I use this throttle pack, flaps, brakes, for all planes, including the simple Cessna 172 and all the planes in-between the low end and high end of airplanes? It's much less expensive than the Bravo, and more in line with my budget.
It is only the handles for the bravo….not a throttle .
I Would love to buy the Honeycomb Throttle Quadrant, But every time I go to purchase it, it's out of stock or not being shipped to the UK!!

The buttons are interchangeable...you can move them to the handles with reversers, as shown in the video. Regards
The red button isn't AT disconnect, its a go around button, and on quad Airbus planes its only the 2 inner engines that reverse. So the red button isn't actually needed to fly the plane properly.
@@ryan1111111555555555 No, Boeing has GA buttons, airbus has toga lock on the throttle. The button is to disconnect auto throttle as only the range below flex will actually let you directly control thrust, the rest are auto throttle modes.

unfortunately you "forgot" to mention the non existing throttle detents, which can only be cured by the purchase of yet another product and should be "in" for $69 already imo
Ite a joke they never made these with throttle detents especially considering the price. Gonna have to get after market 3d printed ones instead.
Problem with that is you won’t have room for 4 engines with detents.

Unfortunately Honeycomb didn't bother to give Cessna the same consideration that they gave to Airbus. How incredibly awkward it would be to have Airbus throttles alongside a Honeycomb yoke!!!
Just fly a good old A300 or A310 😉
@@Kowalski273 Since I typically fly a real Cessna 172 and several other G.A. aircraft, one of my main purposes of simulation is to maintain proficiency and improve my skills. For that reason a good old A300 or A310 is pretty useless to me.

@@Kowalski273 That's my point exactly! In a world where Cessna and other aircraft that use vernier throttle controls outnumber Airbus by a huge margin, Honeycomb chose to ignore those.
I very much like the idea of the Airbus Throttle Pack, except for two isues. First, no detents for Flex and especially Climb. I dont see how that can be overcome, unlike the Flap Mod 3D printed insert. Second, is the fact that the spoilers can not be armed during take off and landing by pulling the lever up. Again, I see no simple solution for this issue, it is something that would needed to have been built into the Bravo Throttle Quadrant from the start. That being said, I'm quite happy with the Bravo. Also, would like to thank SimHanger Flight Sims for the video.
Easy fixes, you just move the leavers up until you hear the detent clicks in sim, check the display to ensure that all leavers are in clb position, after a few take offs you pretty much know the position the leavers need to be in, as for the spoiler, basically you just assign a button to arm the spoiler, so for example, you extend spoilers in flight, then retract them, then press the button you assigned to arm them, job done.

Most things are hard to get, but this handle pack is available direct from Honeycomb. The BTQ is of course another story.
@@SimHangerFS I spoke to Honeycomb at Sun & Fun. They had 2000 units ready this week (just got my RMA replacement today). However next batch is several months away, severe component shortages. Charlie expected in December :)
