My most recent Daisy BB gun, a lovely Model 95B came with a plastic cocking lever. This is my attempt at casting an aluminium one using the original as a pattern.

    • Hi Kev. Well despite a cockup on my part it didn't turn out too bad. Cheers, Alan.

  • NIce Model 95! Bold move on casting up a replacement lever as well.

    • Thanks Shane. Quite apart from wanting an aluminium lever, I figured if it worked it would be useful if I ever needed to replace a broken/damaged lever in the future.

  • Shrinkage will be your enemy Alan. Good luck. Cheers Rob

    • Hi Rob. I was a bit worried about shrinkage but the lever is very small and the shrinkage wasn't really noticeable. Cheers, Alan.

  • Excited to see the casting! Odd side or coping out moulding method?

    • Not really either. The pattern was placed flat on a level surface. The Drag was turned upside down over the pattern. Sand was poured in and tramped down. The Drag was them turned upright, the Cope was bolted in place, the gate and riser placed and then the Cope was filled with sand and tramped down. Seemed to work ok. The second part of the video will up soon, hopefully by Wednesday. Cheers, Alan.
