For me the game was won in the area between the left back and the left winger. Interesting stat - 76 percent of the match was played in the area just in front of the Napoli left back. By all accounts, it was a ludicrous display.

The defense was reshaped from 3 at the back to their normal 4 and he can never go pass kjaer easily. There's a psychological boost that comes with looking at your opponents and not seeing their danger man. It becomes, "We've got this!" for one team and "We can pull through it" for the other, even before the first whistle is blown. I'm sure Osimhen not being in the lineup had some psychological effect. That's not counting his scrappy, defensive contribution and on field encouragement of his teammates. I hope he plays next time and brings that balance Napoli needs.
I disagree, Napoli was tearing teams up without Osimhen at the beginning of the season that made me wonder if they would even play him after his return from injury.
