Truly mesmerizing Mark !!! Capturing these owls on film is a treat for all that you share it with. Thank you so much !!!!
Words can't adequately describe the beauty you captured, Mark. Your photos and videos inspire us all. Thank you.
My pleasure!
This was awesome. That last shot of the sunset and the snow softly reflecting the light. Just perfect.
The video of the owl in the gently falling snow (at about 3:17) is the first time I have appreciated video more than a still photograph. Just lovely.
Me too. Amazing and thanks.
Then there are the shots of the fluffed up owls at around 6:30 - wonderful photography.
Love to see a video on how to find owls to photograph.
Astounding photos, video and narration! Once again Mr. Smith, you hit it out of the park!
thanks!
Bliss -- Agreed !! Great stuff. Thanks for sharing this.
Soo amazing! Such a pleasure to watch with your narration. The yellow eyes of the owls are popping so nicely, almost hypnotising!
Thank you so much!
@@MarkSmithphotography I thank you!
Hi Mark, what awesome captures, and the movement of the snow is absolutely gorgeous through your lens 😍 Owls are beautiful. Great Eyes and floofy bodies indeed!
great as usual, living hear in Ontario we do get the weather ,and the owls, will be in your neck of the woods in a week for a month photographing shorebirds .it will be as good as here I'm sure , top notch video as usual thanks.
I drove up to Canada a few years back and was welcomed with -13F temps and a foot of snow, the windchill was -25F and I was out looking for snowy owls and I found one. After ten to fifteen minutes I was shaking so much no matter how much IS or IBIS I wasn't getting any keepers. It was still a fun trip to see these amazing birds out in those conditions like it was nothing.
Very cool video Mark. Those are some sweet photos and video
never disappoints! ... your stunning images inspire us all . thanks Mark for sharing .

Finally my exams are over and I can catch up on your videos for almost past 3-4 months. Love Your Work Mark!!! You always keep inspiring!!!
Thanks! My pleasure and enjoy!
Another amazing video/photos what a story and experience. I was already cold just watching all that snow falling. You are blessed keep doing what you are doing.
This is insane, it almost looks like an animation, unreal. I remember seeing you at Conowingo saying to myself, I gotta get to Florida, now I gotta get to Canada 😂. You’re definitely gifted ✌️
Awe thanks!
Spectacular images - caught myself not breathing a few times, in awe of these amazing creatures. They have always been my favorite. Thanks Mark!
Thanks
This is very nice to watch. I am a wildlife photographer and I was at this north Toronto park photographing and shooting videos of these beautiful short eared owl. Thanks for posting and your comments. Great job!
Thanks
Another stunning experience with Owls lovely footage !
They are such beautiful birds and I have yet to see one in real life!!! I am trying though and one day I will accomplish my goal. The lockdowns made me develop an interest in birds and wildlife photography. Before that I’d never consider photographing wildlife. It is so fulfilling learning about animals that surround us and sometimes we have no idea of their existence!!!
Ok Mark. You’re gonna have to start a “Robert win a Sony a1 and 200-600 Contest” immediately. Weather’s turning in Mt. Shasta. Bet you can find some good birding here ! 🤭🐿🌈
That was great Mark. Absolutely stunning.
Thanks Mike!
Wonderful video, Mark. I appreciate the care you take in creating the narratives for your videos. FYI, I believe the tree you mention at about 6:10 is a spruce, not a pine.
Thanks
Mesmerising pictures, especially the last few ones! Brilliant!
MAGNIFICENT! Soooo happy for you!!! What an amazing adventure!
Simply fantastic!
Many thanks!
@@MarkSmithphotography we were recently on Amherst Island and saw a group of 5 of these magnificent owls working the fields there! Also presently of rough-legged hawks, Harriers and other raptors and owls.
Mark these photos are simply breathtaking. You should take all your amazing photos and put them in a book and (Correction) sale it on your page.
Than you Mark.A wonderful start to my day. I love seeing [and hearing] the world through your eyes/camera / sense of humour. A joy to wake up to owls and snow in Oz! And I too look forward to a book [boobook book] of the favourite birds. No pressure -----
Lol
Awesome work Mark.
I owl owls! By far my favorite bird of prey and among my favorite birds in general! Great experience you had!
Nice to see that you were able to capture short eared owls, they still elude me. Also nice to see a familiar face of a good friend and photographer smack in the centre of your second photo. Len is a great photographer and I have been out with him photographing owls many times. Glad you enjoyed our province and country.
Beautiful! The most magical thing to me is toward the end - friends!!! Looking forward for more awesome footage from you Mark...

Hello Mark, Not sure about the location being breathtaking but your image are not only breathtaking but amazing to. Keep well, keep safe and stay warm.
Hi Mark, as always another awesome video. The photos and videos are the owls are so beautiful. Looking forward to your next video.
What an amazing experience! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Mark, you no doubt know, but many people don't, that an owl's eyes do not move the way a human's eyes do - they are basically fixed, which is why owls can, and do move their heads seemingly 360 degrees. Their "head bobbing & tilting" behavior helps them get a 3D sense of what they are looking at. (I'm not sure if that is true for every type of owl.) From a Canadian who very much appreciates your amazing photography. Thanks for sharing!
Wow awesome shots Mark. Thanks for sharing.
Pure wonder
Thank you so much!💙🌙🐌🌞
What an awesome trip that was for you. Thanks for sharing.

another awesome video! Maybe a new workshop location??
Now you're just showing off here Mark - effortlessly transferring your southern skills into an alien northern environment. Some amazingly detailed and colourful shots, particularly those with a darker background. And, as an ancient Brit, you've taught me a new word - floof. That's a first for me ;-)
Always glad to help ;)
Awesome pictures! The perched picture at 2:50 is my favorite

Reminds me of Rush fly by night album cover , excellent work Mark those owls are super cool . I had one fly by my head about 2 foot away and couldn’t hear it flapping it’s wings they’re super stealthy just beautiful birds .
Yes!!!
Super amazing Mark....
Wow another specracular video
Mark, great content as always! Could you share how you determine these locations to shoot? Do you find guides, or just research "hot spots" for the subject you're interested in? I've been trying to find owls for years, and while I finally got some photos of a snowy owl a few years back, it was honestly pure luck that I happened to cross paths with one on the beach one winter... Looking forward to growing as a photographer, and part of that is being in the right place, at the right time. Thanks for sharing!
For this one some close friends took me.
Beautiful, Mark!
Excellent Video and Excellent Photography. Owls Are Amazing. Where In Canada Did You Go To Take Pictures Of The Owls?
Thanks. Toronto area!
You, are a top man.
🤗💜 yes!!! Thank you!!!😍
