Love the look of this keyboard, I used it for a few weeks but returned it. Switches are just too responsive for me, I could not stop from pressing unwanted keys by just having my fingers barely resting on the keyboard.

I was looking at this for cyber monday, and this review helps so much. Thank you so much.
There is a way to make a similar indicator light for caps lock and stuff. On razer synapse, add a new layer for wave or maybe wheel, and click on caps lock, then set the color to something other than white, so you can see it, then theres an dropdown menu to choose when it starts and one under that to set when it ends. Change them both to "on selected keys" and it will change the color when you press caps lock.

For the caps/scroll lock when the keyboard lights are white issue, what steelseries did was make it so you can chose what color they light up when active

i have not so long ago got the huntsman elite, with the red switches. I'm really liking it, but its extremely touchy and i'm still getting use to it. just the lightest pressure on the keys will just break the lazer even if you dont hear the click. i love the arm rest on it, just so soft and the leather feels amazing and i'm liking how easy to clean it is.

bought this about a 3 weeks ago and it's fantastic to game in. general typing does my head in. when im sitting in chat rooms and stuff i always find that my fingers are rest on keys and I am always selecting all and deleting characters before actually typing
I have it and I love it. I don't really have a problem with the sound but the bottoming out is really rough. Planning on putting o rings to suppress the sound a little and give a cushion when bottoming out.
The caps lock fix you recommended is easily done in the synapse studio. Just set a 1 color wave to active on press. Takes like 20 seconds.

My Razer Huntsman TE just got delivered today! In fact, I am now typing on it right now!! LOVE IT so far! I do wish I could work out how to do different lighting effects for different profiles, but if that is possible I'll figure it out! :) - I also do wish it came with a wrist rest, but I can always purchase one a little later

Just put wave effect or static effecr on caps lock and scr lock when setting the color to white. That way, when the caps lock IS on, the light will be white, and when its not, it will have an effect going through it

Hey TechBlock, I might be late to comment this but I just got my razer huntsman and it was just like u said absolutely amazing! If u tried it physically u can easily tell that it is quick and u don't even need to press it down a lot. The purple switches are without a doubt the best switches I have tried in my opinion. Overall this keyboard definitely in my top favorites. The quality also reached my expectations the rgb was also decent. I really recommend this keyboard to anyone who is interested to buy a keyboard.
I been using the Huntsmen Te For a good amount of time now and i really like them. The one thing I wish the Te version would have is a RGB strip like the Huntsmen Elite has.

I currently have the Blackwidow Chroma V2 TE with the Green Switches. The Greens are my favorite switches by far. But whenever I stream, record or just talk to my friends in a call it's way too loud so I am thinking that I might buy the Huntsman TE just for everyone's ears xD

If you can't type well the Huntsman elite w/red switches is not an easy keyboard to use as accidentally hitting the wrong key is way to easy. I had purchased the double shot keycaps but returned them because they had packaged two of the same sized spacebars and neither one fit. I did notice they didn't shine as bright as well, but the texture is perfect.
If you like the pbt keycaps, you can get those for the huntsman elite. (Btw, i really love your channel. you were my inspiration to work to get a huntsman elite. great reviews.
Great video! A couple of questions if I may: I've noticed that when you press the FN key on this Huntsman, this press took out all backlighting, leaving only F1, F2, F3, F5, F6, F7, F9, F10, F11, F12 keys lighted (white). I think you are mentioning at 4.39 that "As with ALL Razer keyboards, if you press the F key, all F keys will light up in white". Well, I have BlackWidow X, a Chroma V2 and a Elite, and certainly on the Blackwidow X and Chroma V2 none of them take out the backlighting off when I press the FN key. On the Elite, when pressing th FN, key, ONLY the keys F9, F10, F11, F12 are lighted (white). So, either this function is NOT available on ALL Razer keyboards, or there is something wrong with mine....! Would you know if this function can be customised? I.e. is there a way to turn OFF All backlight apart of ALL F keys on when pressing the FN key onto the Blackwidow X, Chroma V2 and the Elite? If you have (as I have a Blackwidow Elite, a Chroma V2 or a Blackwidow X, could you test this on YOUR keyboards so as to establish whether this is indeed a function on ALL Razer keyboards, or it whether it varies between models? Thank you once more for the great video!!
Just got this keyboard today, and holy crap, I fat finger buttons way more then I thought I did when typing, Just barely clipping a key activates it, which is pretty annoying but just takes some time to fix it! AMAZING keyboard I love it so much

It used to be a feature for every keyboard but they removed it for some reason. But it takes you 2 minutes to do it yourself on synapse. Make a waver layer with two colors. Set them both to white and then in the “start after...” and “end after...” select when selected keys are pressed.
Switch to Steelseries.

I use my TE over the Huntsman Elite. More mouse space, custom cable, faster switches, swapped out several keys to make it a Battlefield 4 custom board. Even have the BF4 transparent title across my spacebar. I miss the Elite's RGB, but this thing is too much an improvement. I prefer the tactile feeling as I accidently press keys, but for competitive performance it's perfection.

In the razer synapse, you are able to turn up or turn down the brightness for RGB.
You can individually disable caps and scroll when the whole board white when they are white they are on and when no color they are off

I picked up the standard huntsman. It’s amazing
It's a good keyboard but more switch variety and better stabilizers would be nice. The PBT keycaps, standard layout and Aluminium top layer is amazing. Razer are defo improving but I had to send this keyboard back because it was far too loud and a feather could literally actuate a key press 😂 It was close to being perfect though!
I wish they would have kept the rgb strip around the base of the keyboard. Maybe they will release an elite version in the future. I started with the purple switch huntsman elite then upgraded to the red switch version when it came out. However if they make an elite version of this keyboard I'd jump on it.

I prefer the Huntsman Elite over the Huntsman TE by a wide margin. The extra features on the Elite like dedicated multi media buttons, volume scroll wheel, on board light indicators for Caps, Scroll, Game Mode, etc, and padded wrist rest pretty much make it a no brainer. I prefer the standard keys that come with the Huntsman Elite, but if you want PBT key Caps just buy the Razer set for $25. I also prefer the RED switches because all you have to do is practically just breathe on them and they activate. Makes a noticeable difference in game.
Would you consider doing a video on Hyperx's Pudding Doubleshot Keycaps? Now that this keyboard has a standard bottom row, pudding keycaps would look very pretty
What razer headphones are you using? They kinda look like the man o war wireless which i have, but they seem bigger and it looks metal on the top? Are those man o war?
I had the hunstman te since it came out and its amazing, and i got pudding keycaps if u want to spice up the RGB a bit more.

Possible solution? In razer synapse you could set the caps lock key to a different color when it's off, so it will only turn white when it's on.
Do you like the Huntsman Elite or BW Elite better? Also, purple switches or orange? Care more about feel than noise - mix of typing and gaming.

I got this keyboard for a early Christmas present, it’s pretty good.
I’m waiting for the linear elite version of this keyboard in the mail, am wondering if I will enjoy it? I mainly pulled the trigger because I got a free razer viper mouse along purchase. I’ve never owned a mechanical keyboard, and am worried if the 40g actuation force will be too daunting? Keep in mind I don’t rest my fingers on the keyboard so that isn’t an issue. I also heard the linear version of the elite is a lot quieter than the TE version. Something to do with the resonance in the board and the type of plastic? Hope this is true. Looking forward to trying it out myself just wanted to see if anyone had some insights or feedback
