mentioning fingerprint response after installing screen protector would have added a lot of value to this video.
I had ordered mine a week or two ago from a local retailer. For installation, I set the water warmth in my boiler to 70 degrees Celsius, let the water run and closed the bathroom door. After the room got as steamy as possible, I went in, sat in naked (I'm a cat owner, I guess those who don't have pets don't have to go to such extremes) with all the tools and did the following: 1. Sat down and waited around 2 minutes to make sure dust I carried in got stuck by the steam. 2. Took everything out 3. Wiped the screen with the alcohol wipe (after which I put it on a clean spot aside) 4. Removed the plastic peel from the installation kit/frame (and kept holding it in my hand sticky side down) 5. Wiped the screen yet again with the same alcohol wipe (with the installation kit in another hand) and kept doing it until the moment I placed the installation frame over the phone. 6. Gave it a "good ol' rub", waited 30 seconds and pushed the air bubbles out. As a result, a perfect, dust-free installation. Also, the fingerprint sensor actually works better than with the Whitestone EZ Glass one. I suppose they released the fixed batch during these past few weeks. In any case, it works and looks great!
For the fingerprint scanner, I added the same finger twice, and also scanned differently each time. In the first time, you should scan more by the middle of the finger, so it fills the entire sensor. The second time, scan more the edges of the finger, and try different angles and inclinations. It worked for me, it's not perfect like without the protector, but it works almost 100% of the times.
Thanks for the tip for how to install a Screen protector never seen anyone install one like that before
The S22 Plus is the one ☝️ 💯
I dig the Spigen screen protector got one on my iPhone 13 pro. Feels great on the thumbs (and fingers) 🤘
They are the best fit for flat screens
Got this protector on my S23 and it's the best protector you can get hands down, very easy to install and you get a 2 pack so a big bang for the buck!
Just put mine on best screen protector I've ever put on ! Not a single bubble or dust was so easy
The fingerprint sensor with the protector worked just like without the protector for me. Make sure to turn on the increase touch sensitivity option and add your finger twice as a fingerprint.
Did you recently purchase or have you had yours for awhile? I heard Spigen updated the model
MY NOT WORK INSTEADTOUCH SENSIBILITY
I added the same finger twice too, and also scanned differently each time. In the first time, you should scan more by the middle of the finger, so it fills the entire sensor. The second time, scan more the edges of the finger, and try different angles and inclinations. It worked for me, it's not perfect like without the protector, but it works almost 100% of the times.
Does it affect the front camera in any way?
A must have. 💯
Get a Whitestone if you want the fingerprint sensor to work like it should. I hate to say it but the UV glue on type are the only ones that really work without some kind of cut out. Much more $ but it's because it's the only one that works. I have tried MANY......
I just installed mine and i had no bubbles and it works great with the finger print sensor. Just follow the instructions and wait for the 30 seconds. Did not even use the squeegee.
Do you have any difference with the fingerprint?
does the fingerprint lock works? how smooth 1 to 10?
Although your demonstration and "anti-dust preparation" were absolutely EXCELLENT, it was revealing how easily ambient dust can find its ability to ruin the intended results. Working behind the camera was not a contributing factor to the dust issue (you were most thorough with your cleaning preparation). Nevertheless, the product itself is superb (a lot of care and ingenuity went in to its effective design). Likewise, your "product application" video is one of the very best I've seen (and "Thank you" for the clarity it transmits to the viewer). For those who are able to effectively deal with the dust issue - they will be greatly rewarded by watching same. Otherwise, it may be a "No-Go" situation for some phone owners.
The general rule I have is to do the exact thing he did, but in the bathroom after filling the air with steam from the shower. It causes the majority of floating dust particles to fall to the floor and not slip in between dust removal and application of the protector. However even then I sometimes get little specks, so I just always buy 6-8 protectors at once for multiple chances.
Does the fingerprint work perfectly?
You didn’t show the fingerprint reader being used after application of the screen protector. This would have been useful to show how responsive it is with this screen protector. Without that reassurance it is difficult to make the decision to buy it.
You are correct I forgot to add that. However I will be doing a follow up video displaying why it should be removed as the screen protector did not work out as intended
@@TechKingMike after I applied it, the fingerprint sensor became wonky and only work 50% of the time. :(
@@HypeBeasts I would remove it and get a refund if you purchase from Amazon.
@@HypeBeasts same problem here.... don´t know whats wrong with it. Nerver had problems before with EZ Fit screen Protectors. I removed the old fingerprint and calibrate new... no success
@@Wimpelmann thats interesting, albeit i have the white stone screen protector on my s22 plus and the one for the s22 ultra and had no problems, i re registered them after and also turned up the touch sensitivity on the phone and have no issues. I also use a method for registering my fingerprints. I even register two finger prints on each of the 4 you can add from multiple angles. I think marks tech has a video on how to do it and it works pretty flawless.
Thanks for the video demonstration, can you please let me know if the fingerprint sensor works with full efficiency after re-registering the fingerprints and turning on the increased sensitivity option. If not, then how accurate and fast it is after installing this? This will help me and the future buyers of this screen protector.
It worked just like without a protector for me. Make sure to turn on the increase touch sensitivity option and add your finger twice as a fingerprint.
I does not work.. I installed flawlessly, turned the increased sensitivity on, nothing..
I think it's better to use the official screen protector by Samsung itself, no issues with fingerprint in that.
@@NitishKumar-gu8wt How's the official samsung screen protector? does fingerprint works perfectly?? Which screen protector are you using?
@@pratik_rajguru Yes, it works perfectly since the official one is just a film screen protector and not a glass.
just bought the s22+. been using the note 20 ultra. and cant understand why samsung doesn't abandon the curve screen on the ultra models. they are cumbercome to install and most cases push on the side of the screen protector and dirt builds up. or the screen protector gets cracked on the edges.
Very nice screen protector but the fingerprint sensor doesnt work properly .
I have no idea why thay don't sell them no more I can't find them on the website when I check
My guess is that they could possibly be revamping them. I have had some issues with the finger print scanner personally
Good lord.... I installed a Spigen neoflex on my s22+ and it looked dust free but 2 dust spots still showed up..... 😡
Nice sir, nice
Thank you sir
@@TechKingMike You are welcome 💪🏽💪🏽.
You definitely do get two wipes
I yust both it and there is not other one in store so I must buy 2 and in stor they doo all the work. And they make perfect yobe cos they make 100 protectors daily for s22 I'm hepy and 450+ is newe screen so 22€ is nothing and 2 protectors I will hawe for. Long time
There are plenty of videos on how to apply a plastic screen guard on phones, you could have added lot of value by showing ultrasonic finger print sensor response after and before screen guard installation, for those phones which are having ultrasonic sensor screen guard is a matter of concern.
you shouldn't hold the phone in the air when you try to clean it, just keep it on the table and preferably like on a paper towel so it doesn't move around.
Have u tested fingerprint scanner?
Yes and it initially was working but is no longer working properly
Did you remove and a new fingerprint with the screen protector installed?
is there a camera cut out
No there is not
Is there a cutout for the selfie camera?
No there is not with this protector
@@TechKingMike Does it affect the quality of the photos?
I am worried that the quality of the selfie camera is worsened by the glass that covers it.
I can tell you after several hours of testing it’s fine to me I notice no difference. I will be updating the channel with a review of the protector long term soon
Lol 😂 But you were left with a bubble in the middle!
After installed..fingerprint still working smoothly?
No it has slowed down and I have removed it
@@TechKingMike Wish I saw this before I bought it😭
@@TechKingMike have you changed touch sensitivity(after applying screen protector) and tried again?
@@sussqueaky5190 I added the same finger twice, and also scanned differently each time. In the first time, you should scan more by the middle of the finger, so it fills the entire sensor. I have this protector on my S22 and the fingerprint reader is bad. I wouldn't recommend.
Did you set it up before you installed it? I found the first install(video install) to be that way. But when I removed it and added the finger print before I installed the second it was better.
Exactly why I don't like glass screen protectors, I stick with the simple ones.
Increase touch sensitivity in settings (Samsung specifically incorporated this to work with screen protectors), and make a new fingerprint with the screen protector installed, should work perfectly fine then.
This did help me as well
Banyak debu masihan
That is a s22 5g not plus !!
It’s definitely an S22 plus 5g. I know what I bought plus why would the screen protector for a plus model fit a standard s22 model?
SPOILER DONT BUY THIS GLASS ITS TO THICK AND YOU CANT HAVE FINGENPRINT READER I TRY TWICE AND CANOT READ FINGERPRINT SHAME
Did you erase then re-make your fingerprint scanner AFTER installing the glass protector? That's what you're supposed to do.
