  • The image of waking up to someone by your bedside holding an axe is truly terrifying and something that makes me want to leave the lights on at night. Then I remember that this dufus couldn't kill more than half of his victims with an axe after several blows and potentially got shot by a badass women and I laugh it off.

    • Ricardo Pablo They could set up a whole neighbourhood (clear out the area and set up policemen pretending to be civilians the whole night) that's completely silent so that it'll increase the chances of him being attracted to that area.   • The reason why almost all the houses in New Orleans had and axe and why you would not throw it away is because you keep an axe so that during hurricane season you could chop through your attic and get on your roof if the city flooded This is an old New Orleans family thing that has been lost over time, thus the deaths of people IN their attics during Katrina, the old ways lost or not known to the transplants

  • Here’s a small theory of mine: There isn’t just one Axeman, there’s multiple. Why? Because Ether saw 2 figures, while over witnesses form other cases saw just one. And from most of the descriptions from different people of Axeman, there almost all different, if not non of them are the same. The Axeman might just be a group name that only murders with axes, and they all go by The name- you guessed it- Axeman. And every night they send different people, sometimes more than 1 person, witch explains the different descriptions and why Ether saw 2 figures at the scene of one of multiple crimes. Now, The Axeman might have disbanded. Theory 2: If Axeman disguised himself ( witch I doubt, since it is 1918 - 1919 ), it could just be mafia. Mafias are known for brutal murder, but I don’t think it’s mafias. It is copycats, explaining the different descriptions. Theory 3: It could be The Axeman bangs the mini doors ( forget there name ) and enters through a normal way, probably an unlocked out side door. Those are my theories. Edit: Axeman must have disbanded due to deaths in the group, but most likely this group liked jazz music a lot -KoiAmik Edit 2: Could be that the Axeman group refer themselves as “me” or “I”, to make it seem like there is only one person behind the attacks, but there isn’t. There is multiple people. Also, I don’t know if mafias were a thing back then, but it’s just a guess.
