Homeless German Shepherd mother screams for help 🥺
Today we all celebrate moms - the ones who are with us and those who are not. The job of a mom is a tough one, just like it was for Giselle, who had given birth to 8 puppies out on the streets of Compton.
Giselle got to see five of her babies being taken away by people, and then she got to see one get hit by a car and die. The last two puppies, Ophelia and Philomena, never allowed Loreta Frankonyte or me to pet them... they cautiously approached to take food from us, and then they would retreat.
In cases like this, it is critical to get the most challenging dog first (the mom) and only then get the babies. As you can see in this video, we could have had the babies very quickly, but I couldn't risk spooking the mom and losing her forever.
On day 2 of this rescue, Loreta and I arrived in two separate cars; we brought ALL our equipment, spent a couple of hours setting up this rescue, and then it DID NOT go as expected!!! 😄
We always have to improvise as we go and I hope you will enjoy this video.

Eldad's mother must be proud of him for helping animals find their forever homes. I would love to honor my mother when she's passes away with something that she would have loved. she is a type 2 diabetic and she's only in her 40s so she's got plenty of life left before she dies from natural causes.

@@EPA18 What do you mean? My Mom is actually a type 2 diabetic and she's been treating it for years since she was diagnosed. She has a stable diet and she always has made sure that she takes her medication before leaving for work.
It's the same thing as having HIV and other infections and decease with the correct medication you're going to die of old age as the rest of us I have a friend that has had HIV since the late 80s and he is doing just fine So living with diabetes is no big deal anymore so long as you take your insulin
The transformation for the Momma dog, Giselle, has me crying tears of happiness. She finally felt safe and could trust you---and was able to feel playful, as well as clean and protected. May we all strive to extend this type of care and love to everyone we know---as well as to our four-legged family. God Bless and Happy Mother's Day.

I can't believe people just came and took her puppies without trying to help the whole family. humans are so unbelievably selfish. you should never separate small puppies from their mom in a traumatic way just stealing them when she's not around. people should have called for help right away and rescued the whole family at once. I'm glad you guys got mom and the two babies before another puppy got hit by a car. thank you for doing this for them.

It was so great seeing Giselle wanting to play. She could relax and be a dog. It's so wonderful that you got to save a mom for Mother's Day, Eldad.

@@eddiewood7573I just adopted a dog from Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida that transports dogs up and down the East Coast. My dog was on a bus with 30 or so pups coming from JFK in NYC most of whom were saved from that ghoulish, nasty, F’d up festival. When a terrible cultural tradition takes hold, it’s difficult to get enough momentum for change I believe.

Those puppies were taken away by pretend, partial “humans” … to take a puppy and leave the others and the mom to survive somehow and one to be lost. And promptly place them in county rescue centers. They provide no aftercare. They do not receive any animals

This family went to Red Dog to be fostered. I live in Los Angeles. I have been in contact with these organizations that foster for them. They are totally legitimate, compassionate, caring, selfless people who donate their time and resources to love and care for these animals and find them homes. You should not run your mouth with lies trying to discredit them, it's unethical, you are harming animals, and you can be sued for slander. ... nevermind, keep it up. If they sue you that's more money for the animals, and all your trolling comments help the logrythm and push their videos out to more viewers. 👍👍 People know you don't know what you're talking about and have no actual information. @@meankitten101 Congratulations you have just now realised that the rescue industry has more than just rescues and shelters, there are also the people who provide transport and do the catching of strays, those two types of people do not keep animals long term or foster a lot of the time because it allows them to be more versatile and easily spend hours rescuing dogs without worry. If you don't like it. Don't watch it. or better yet help do something about puppy mills and backyard breeders that led the dogs to be in this situation to begin with, and do not blame the people actually helping animals, while you bitch behind a screen.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mum died in October 2003. The first Mother’s Day without her was surreal. However, your mom’s loving spirit is with you.
My mom has been gone for five years. It's gotten easier but I miss her everyday and especially on Mother's Day. Have a great day and know that what you do with the animals honors her and her memory. Blessings to you and everyone at Hope for Paws.
My mother passed away 5 years ago on this day May the 25th. I did not donate her any children, but a beagle named Kira. The best thing I've ever done. She used to say to Kira : 'When my husband died, id did not cry... But when you will die, stupid dog...' Every time Kira did something silly, she used to say : "Stupid dog, stupid dog, stupid dog but... Lovely dog !' Kira survived her.
Dearest Eldad, my sympathies to you on the passing of your lovely mother. You look so much like her. What a wonderful person she must have been to raise a son who cares so much about animals. You HONOR her every day in the most beautiful way by rescuing. You & Loreta worked so hard on this rescue, thank you so much for that hard work, but what a brilliant triumph. They really are!! My girl just passed on May 1st and I know there will never be another! I have never felt this kind of pain before. She was my first German Shepherd and my first dog as an adult. She helped and just loved me in so many ways.
@@JB.885 I've never owned a GSD myself but I've learned a lot more about them as I've observed Lily and her pups at The Farm in Australia! It's how they interact so sweetly with all the dogs, cats and humans in that inspiring family 😄

I agree...mercy, how someone could leave them in this dangerous abandon house is so selfish ~ so thankful a neighbor fed them and called Hope For Paws instead of animal control....they were good people doing the right thing. ❤

I am a mom, 72 years young now and proud to say my children learned to respect and care for all living things.
