I grew up with Ewings. Maybe it’s an nyc thing but they are classics. I keep a fresh pair in my closet to this day.
They were popular where I grew up in northern England in the early 90s. Quite a few of us had them.
These were popular in Toronto in the 90s as well. Everyone wanted a pair they sold very well up here.

@@peanutbutterwaltz Very true, Ewing has always had a great following on the East Coast, the problem was that they were amazingly hard to find here, on the West Coast. I actually found a pair back in 2000, because the shop that I was in had gotten pairs shipped to them in error. I believe that they sold out within a few days.

Copped the Beef and Broccoli 33 Hi's in 2016. One of the best padded sneakers I've ever owned, plus they were durable af. The details on them are nice too. Worth mentioning that it might be the only sneaker brand who doesn't hesitate to celebrate hip-hop to the fullest through their collabs with Big Pun's, Sean Price's and Big L's estates, as well as with 2 Chainz, Capone-N-Noreaga, and Death Row.

I have the Death Rows and a Cormega colorway of the Sport Lites which has the box signed by him. Pretty cool.

Super excited for this video. I haven't been thrilled with the quality of Ewing shoes on feet, but as a Knicks fan who grew up in the 90s, I love wearing them. Sadly, the only other people I regularly see wear them are drug dealers in Times Square.

Ewing makes really good collabs. Big pun, big L, death row, and other old school rap designs. Good amount of big sizes stock and good shipping.

I went to Burlington today and saw 5 different styles of Ewings. I picked up the Rogue in white, pink and blue for only $24.99. They do feel heavy but for the price you can't beat because it brought back memories of the Air Raids.

I had 2 pairs of Ewings in 1991, I believe the model was called Guard. They were similar to the Sport Lights in this video. I loved them! I had the all black suede version with white accents and the red and grey suede one as well. I never liked the og model with the ankle buckles. They were way to bulky and heavy for my liking. Wishing that the Ewing brand will retro the Guard model. Fingers crossed.

Yessir!! A few years ago my girl surprised me for my birthday with the Death Row black/red, the all white 33s with the gum bottoms, and the all black 33 winterized boots!! It kills me that Ewing Athletics doesn't get its due... but at least the real Sneaker Heads are about that action, boss!! Great video Chris about one of my favorite brands of all time! I used to collect only Ewing‘s for about 5 years and had about 120 pairs untill I started to sell them pair after pair 2 years ago. Still in love with the brand, the player and the history but sadly they are super hard to wear cause they are so damn big and heavy.

I had one pair of Ewings when I was in middle school and didn't play ball at the time. It was a mid in white, royal and orange and the midsole and outsole were so tick that it tore apart in the forefoot before wearing out. When I was a freshmen in highschool a lot of dudes had the Rogues in the black, purple and white colorway. Those and the Cons were the most affordable shoes along with a Barkley called brand that I guess were just shoes taking advantage of Chuck's last name without being official but, because of the Ewing brand, here in Mexico we thought that those Barkleys (not Nikes) were dome kind of legit. My dad bought ewings for me & 2 of my cousins back in the 90s. By today's standard they might be bricks. But those tanks were awesome since we only played outdoors on cement courts. We also had la gears & british knights.
I had these in the 90's and the packaging hasn't changed much. Love they kept up with that.

The original Ewing signature shoes were the Adidas Conductor Hi and Rivalry Hi. They even made a low version of the Rivalry. Nice quality leather basketball shoes made in France and Taiwan. The Conductor and Rivalry have retroed many times minus the "Ewing" name on the tongue, it just says "Adidas".

I had the Ewing 33 High as a teenager. when they first came out. They were all black with the white Patrick Ewing stitched lettering. I remember they came with a basketball hang tag. This was the 1st sneaker I worked for and bought with my own money. After my Mother bought me a few pair of Jordans the previous years she got me an under the table job to teach me the value of money. Thanks Mom.

The Ewing 33 high dropped when I was in 7th grade in 1990, I had them in all black suede, and everyone had them in NYC. I think this was the first outdoor blacktop sneaker before Reebok made one. We wore these in the snow like timberlands and played ball with them as well, they were indestructible.
I remember these dropping in the mid 90s and they looked dope when kids got them and wore them to school. They were a bit pricey I remember even back then so I couldn't get a pair because I could only get a new pair for my birthday or Christmas and I wasn't gonna sacrifice a gamble on a pair of Ewing's when I could get a pair of Jordans so I never ended of getting a pair. By the time I started making money for myself and being able to buy shoes the shoes went out of business. But yeah those bring back alot of memories.

I had the OG red & grey in junior high & now I have the OG in the Jamaica colorway & the nubuck colorway. Iconic shoes, loved them back in the day and I still love them now
I own a pair of Ewing 33 His! I had been tempted to buy a pair for a while; I think they just look so retro in the coolest of ways (I thought the Jordan 19 was an interesting comparison; I love wearing those too). When they dropped the Waylon Jennings collab (I am a big fan of old school outlaw country), I had to have them. They are the closest thing I’ve owned to a legitimate boot, and they definitely are heavy. I have no idea how Ewing played in them either! However, they are way more comfortable than they have a right to be. I probably will get another pair of 33 His at some point, probably in the OG Knicks colorway. Every once in a long while, I’ll see someone wear a pair and I always get excited. Thanks for always giving time to lesser known/non-hype brands. As others have said, this is why you are the best!

Had a pair of Rogues as a kid. I think I bought them mainly for the keychain. :D But I do remember that they were extremely durable for outdoor ball.

In 2011, I stood in line at Packer Shoes in Teaneck NJ and copped me 3 pairs of the 33 HI's just for nostalgic reasons. I've added some other pairs just because 😂 I now use them to ride my motorcycles.
They became really popular last year in Mississippi. There is a 33 high chocolate and gum sole color way that is crazy.

Growing up in Queens NY I wore Ewing during the early 90s. I had several pair of Ewing sneakers. I would rock the og white orange and blue to see my Knicks play ▶️ the 76ers in Philly next season. But I wear a 13. I ☹️ don't want a 14 Shoe if they don't have a 13.5

I have a pair I bought a few years ago. I haven’t worn them because of the sizing. I wear size 15 and I had to go up 1 size. They are kind of loose fitting and the weight of the shoe didn’t help. If the sizing was better I’d have over a dozen pair. Comfort is a primary attribute I look for in shoes I wear. I was so happy when I got em because I wanted them way back in the day when I saw them on other feet. To everyone who has them and enjoy them religiously I am envious, but I love to see you rock em.

WoW! Nostalgia, i was in grade 5 school 1994, had those Ewing Rogue shoes. Back then, those were amazing coz they were worn by NBA star players.
I had a pair as a kid and watching the video I remembered having the keychain with the orange ball and the #33….

I saw Ewings sold at Zellers when I was a kid kinda like the Ewing High if I remember in early 90's. Ewing is one of my top5 NBA players of all-time. Hope they will sell them in stores at some point. I really like the black pair.😊

I had the 33 hi all black back in the day. They were so comfortable to play in but bottomed out really quick. I always wanted the Adidas Ewings (rivalry low hi) in the Knicks colour scheme but couldn't get them. PS Big tongues were a thing in the 80's😂
I have the late Pimp C 33 high collab and a pair of Rogues in a Knicks colorway. Unfortunately, City Trends has been flooded with what I believe to be b grades of certain models. I'm glad Knight Wing reviewed these shoes, which are a part of sneaker history.

I had a pair of Ewings my freshman year in HS. I got hit my a car 2 weeks after the semester started. I was on crutches when I finally went back to school and my mother didn't want me to get robbed so she bought me a pair of Ewings a Carhartt coat and Columbia winter boots😂
As a skater, my final review look is probably a shoe sin, I roll both ankles out and look down on the insides cupped together. Best way to see the design of a shoe with a flat sole like this. 100% will get these to skate in thank you so much lol
