She played this whole piece without a paper reference and did it with skill and confidence. Splendid performance by the orchestra and Brava Alexandra. Bravo Vivaldi.
It's absolutely stunning to me how she holds the memory of every single note of the whole performance in her mind. Her timing as well is beyond perfect. I've watched so many Four Seasons orchestras playing this and none are as exceptional as she. She plays many other master's entire pieces the same way too. I can't fathom how a mind can not just contain so much information but express it with such subtlety and nuance.
its easy bro

Thousands and thousands of hours and practice
I keep coming back to this performance. Any other group playing this masterpiece are great, no doubt. But these musicians have a version that surpasses them all. I thought every orchestra playing the same symphony were playing it exactly the same but this performance has a nuance and subtlety that makes a fantastic set of music phenomenal. The main cello player has such a unique style of playing and boy is he ever a talent and then some. I cannot get through watching this without tears, it literally touches my soul profoundly. I'm in awe that a person could think up this music, no other life form in the universe could scale these heights.
agree with u;)
@samgriffiths8928The way he bounces his bow off the strings in a much more pronounced way (like at 36:36) is very clever on his part. The kinetic energy the descending bow has upon the strings is like it hits the ground running so to speak and can flow into the note rather than start it. The other celloist has a bounce too of course but it’s much more reserved and in a standard fashion. His way has a very subtle effect but like a spice in a great dish you can't place it gives it such a flavor, that je ne sais quoi. He has a great elbow placement and follow through and his angle of approach with his bow is higher than what you'd typically see. At some times his playing may give the appearance of being aggressive but in actuality it isn't. He has mastered strength and power with a subtlety that is very difficult yet he makes it look easy. What I like about his more pronounced bowing bounce technique is that it allows a continuity of momentum so his notes so deftly meld together.
Can't agree more.. You said all
Totally agree! They are spectacular, without a doubt the best.
For more than 20 years I have been listening to Vivaldi's The 4 Seasons in the laboratory, when I need to relax, read or concentrate. After listening to many interpreters, my favorite interpreter was Itzhak Perlman and I spent many years listening only his interpretation, because I noticed minimal differences in other interpreters that I did not like, I don't know why, since I am neither a musician nor an expert. About 6 or 7 years ago I heard this interpretation by Alexandra Conunova, it simply fascinated me and it became my favorite interpretation, because it surpasses what seemed insurmountable. For me it is an interpretation, simply perfect but as I say it is my taste and my opinion. The sound quality also influences since the Itzhak Perlman concert was from 2006. In any case, how great VIVALDI is, I can't imagine what he must have felt creating something so impressive and perfect. Let your children listen to this wonder, when they do their homework or crafts, you will see how they relax, concentrate and enjoy.
This is the type of music that is for stress relief, to sleep, to study, and just to listen to.
I would like to thank those great people for playing VIVALDI perfectly, and I would like to thank the one who uploaded this on KZhead so we can all enjoy this great music.
You are quite right ..!
Music is a language we all understand.
I Totally agree with you Sir.
I agree.
Yes, of course.
This has been my go to music to help me stay sane for months now
Reminds us of Northern Brittany 45 years ago, seeing the local farmers collecting seaweed off the beach and a poor old carthorse dragging tons of it up the sand dunes under grey skies. we were young then and our kids, all 4 of them, were all under 10. Wonderful memories. We're pushing 80 now and I'm looking after my wife, practically wheelchair bound, and, for good measure, has vascular dementure, single handed. Nobody can do it like I can. Please, make the most of life.
probably not wonderful memories for the carthorse. . .
I'm sad for your circumstances. We, 91 and 87 are fortunate in enjoying this lovely music and past memories.
My God. I'm speechless. So talented, beautiful performance! Just sitting here and overwhelmed. This came up in my feed and now I'm just looking at this, tears in my eyes. 👏 Bravo!!
Beautiful.. The main violinist is clearly very talented but let's not overlook the extraordinary performance of the other musicians in the orchestra. And a big thank you to whoever uploaded this precious video.
you take the words out my mouth. Thx
If this video ever disappears I will mourn its loss forever. From the first listen I knew it was THE one! I literally listen to it 7 days a week +. The cello player closest to the audience is really amazing too. The way he bounces that bow with such intensity and precision really does it for me. You can tell he's a very sensitive and passionate man and it comes through in his playing.
Truly the most beautiful and best interpretation of the Four Seasons I've ever heard, I will never get tired of listening to this version, it's just brilliantly executed.
Same here, She is perfection!
to be honest I prefer Julia Fischer
I would be balling my eyes out seeing this live, it's just so incredible powerful and beautiful. The sheer skill of these musicians is God like, pure perfection and passion. Classical music hits like no other type of music.
QUE SOLISTA!!! QUE ORQUESTRA!!! QUE ESPLENDOR DE TALENTO!!! QUE OBRA INCOMPARÁVEL DE VIVALDI!!!
The best and most beautiful things in the word can not be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.
You most ear to Cinthia Freivogel. Both two are out the world.
In la' so diesis è difficilissimo
Nothing brings more pleasure to my ear than hearing master musicians playing beautifully and playing as one. I am sure Vivaldi himself could not be more pleased to hear his divine masterpiece played so perfectly.
"QUATRO ESTAÇÕES", cada estágio, cada movimento, UMA ESTAÇÃO DEFINIDA. Excelente interpretação. Lindíssima melodia. Terna, suave, lenta, rápida, FORTE e majestosa. Melodia para viajar só em pensamentos ótimos...
Lindíssima sem igual
Miss Alexandra Conunova is brilliant! - WOW!...This beautiful, touching music brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it and it is THE VERY BEST recording of this MASTERPIECE that I have ever heard/seen on youtube...All the musicians did a fantastic job! - BRAVO!
I watched this so many times! Never get bored of this. They’re played with full of hearts. Bravo!!
Same here. For me, with every listening, I hear more, and it gets better.
We'va all probably heard any number of performances of this, but this one really brings it to life.
Long awaited spring is here. Let our first joyful moment be listening to this utter masterpiece.

13:16 - 13:41 is one of theee biggest drops in classical music history ever! 15:14 - 15:40 is one of theeee second biggest drops in classical music history ever! 17:58 - 20:23 is just THE GREATEST PIECE OF MUSIC OF ALL TIME!! Summer is just my most favorite composition ever made!!! Simply the greatest!!! Classical music at heavy metal status. Just look at the synchronized head bopping! 😎
You're right , this music is a pure magic
Absolutely agree. 👌😊
The emotions on her face, she is feeling each note she plays.
In the sad parts, like in the 2nd act, you can hear she almost crying by her breath. Its beautiful and deep
Alexandra Conunova's executions bring me closer to God, motivates me to have noble thoughts, to show my love for people, to do good to those in need, to see the world inhabited by people who are always motivated to do good, to see others happy. The interesting thing is that classical music always does well, but Alexandra's features are highly appropriate and worthy of praise. After all, it is beautiful. Irajá B. Soares, Recife, Brazil.
I can hear her breathe, I can see her intensity, I can feel her music. What a magnificent display of music ! Thank You all and also to Vivaldi.

NO PUEDO MAS QUE AGRADECER TAN MAGNIFICA INTERPRETACION! QUE BELLA LA MUSICA! MIS MAS SINCERICIMOS RESPETOS A TODOS LOS MUSICOS QUE HAN DOBLEGADO SU VOLUNTAD Y PUEDEN PRODUCIR TAN MARAVILLOSOS SONIDOS. Y QUE DECIR DE LA MARAVILLOSA SOLISTA, SU MAGNIFICA INTERPRETACION ESTA A LA ALTURA DE SU FORMIDABLE MEMORIA PARA TOCAR TODO ESTE GRAN CONCIERTO. REALMENTE DE OTRO PLANETA. IMAGINO CUANTAS HORAS EN SOLEDAD CON SU INSTRUMENTO TRATANDO DE DERROTAR LA NOCHE. MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS
I am speechless. I am happy for all of us we have this performance in great quality on youtube 😍😍
The first time i heard this i was at bush gardens when i was little maybe 12ish. They used to play these song in the scotland area all the time.
This is one of the most beautiful performances of winter. Salute to the entire orchestra and the violinist
Especially the 2nd movement. Simply stunning.
@@philip.garrison Never heard that one before, it's amazing
She just has ruined the Four Seasons played by any other Lead Violin for me. Until listening to this, i never realised, that there can be such gaps in skill or talent even amongst professionals. The coordination between her and the orchestra without conductor at this unusual tempo is incredible. Everything is on point. Thank you for sharing this with us!
When this was written the standard presentation was a small orchestra and lead soloist. Conductors are a more contemporary addition when orchestras got bigger. I agree, spectacular! Wonderful talent and communication between them.
I agree with you, she has ruined any other Four Seasons for me as well. I also would like to add that she is the conductor in this concert. If you look closely, every player is looking at her and she is directing them very well. Very impressive.
Nunca me esquecerei desse momento mágico.
The best live performance of 4 seasons . I found on KZhead so far. There s an exquisite little variation or twist @ 36:36 winter you don t hear in every rendition
I'm just mesmerized by Alexandra's performance and beauty in this beautiful performance.
this isnt english but I think I know what happened here
Did she literally play the whole vivaldi without any paper sheet? Wow, she is superb
The solist allways plays whitout sheets
She is Russian from Moldova - they can do everything
Pure love of great music can do great things.
@@Aisenshpits That's so true!
Viva La Moldova !
I've seen this Vivaldi masterpiece performed at least a dozen times at sites around the world and this was by far the best! Kudos to Ms. Conunova and the orchestra. She was absolutely brilliant and I loved her subtle cues to the orchestra.
I've never seen the whole four seasons playes as a whole but comparing this storm part in "Summer - I. Allegro non molto" to Samvel Yervinyan in Yannis "For All Seasons" makes me wanna see Samvel play the whole of Vivaldis Four Seasons because he's not human. Listen to 11:25 in this clip and then listen to this kzhead.info/sun/lN6mktupgpd6pok/bejne.html
Muito Hermano Sra.Cununova
I've watched the video you linked, but I didn't like it. I don't find the need to mix techno with Vivaldi's masterpieces@@PokerAttack21
I noted her cues too, you know they are all in awe of her musical genius. She has spoiled me now.😊
Beautiful music played by a beautiful orchestra led by a brilliant violinist. Bravo!
So far the best version I have heard. I am listen to it repeatedly for weeks. Thank you to you all. Solist is just so sensitive 💜
Genio
Perfeftna violina....Zgodna i lepa Ruskinja...Vivaldi je sjajan a ovo izvodjenje perfekcija...Bravo!!!
Glorious. How the audience could contain themselves throughout the 41 minutes of such a glorious performance is outstanding. Perhaps they were chained to their seats. In this part of the world, we shall not be calm.
Eric Kahiga you made me laugh in joy! Such a beautiful piece and your words are truth!

Cello guy is the real MVP here. What an incredible work together. If I were the soloist I would literally kiss that guy right after finishing this masterpiece. Eureka.
100% agreed. I'm always pleased to see AC at 41:08, when she and the cellist raised their hands together. And kudos to the videographer and sound engineers that highlighted the cellist.

There are 4 concerts and 12 movements perfectly played. Splendor.
Classical music is like Mathematics, they’re perfect, accurate, explicit, and makes you feel relaxed
Alexandra e tutta l'orchestra, complimenti!!!!! Grazie comunque. Auguri e sucesso.

He came from a Venetian orphanage, Santa Maria della Pietà, the fourteenth-century Antico "Spedale" in which Vivaldi taught music to children...in particular to little girls orphan. They play this fantastic music all day....so they can forget their sade fate thanks to music
Marvelous! Have already seen this and have saved it to see again! Thank you!🎉❤😊
Just a masterful rendition of Vivaldi's Four Seasons!!
The conductor is so good and her music of insane quality!!! Alexandra gives Vivaldi a new life, phenomenal playing and aaah everything, I've heard no better!!!!!
She gives Vivaldi a more feminine, quick-witted, furtive, and hard to catch!, almost mischievous sound that is just exquisite in its finery- I love her interpretation so much. Bravo Alexandra!
Memorizing! Brilliant and so moving. I have heard the 4 Seasons played so many times in my life by so many wonderful artists I can say this is one of the finest I have heard with Alexandra Conunova - a truly blessed and gifted artist!!
Just Fabulous!!! Playing over and over!!
I think it's so cool that Vivaldi wrote all these compositions. What a gift to the world.
