Rogan pressed him several times "Does this bother you, that your network lied?!" He deflected and would not answer. He is complicit...
Because it's not a lie. It's a livestock dewormer with other applications. *The Hill* is lying by saying CNN is lying: "Discovered in the late-1970s, the pioneering drug ivermectin, a dihydro derivative of avermectin-originating solely from a single microorganism isolated at the Kitasato Intitute, Tokyo, Japan from Japanese soil-has had an immeasurably beneficial impact in improving the lives and welfare of billions of people throughout the world. Originally introduced as a veterinary drug, it kills a wide range of internal and external parasites in commercial livestock and companion animals. "
Like the other guy said it's not a lie, and ivermectin isn't approved for covid so if rogans doctor gave it to him for that reason he could face consequences
@@religionisapoison2413 The FDA says itself that ivermectin is approved for treating people with parasites. I also found the exact same website you quoted that from which hilariously called ivermectin a wonder drug: "Ivermectin proved to be even more of a wonder drug in human health, improving the nutrition, general health and wellbeing of billions of people world wide" nice try twisting an article to your side by quoting specifics. So there is a human version, and CNN did lie about it, and you quoted a very specific quote blatantly lying. To call it a "livestock dewormer with other applications" ignores the fact that it's helped BILLIONS of people prior to covid-19 and is very ignorant.
@@jz0967 correct but I'm not lying. Neither is CNN. That's the point.

Calling ivermectin "horse dewormer" is like calling water "horse hydrator". Everyone who calls it horse dewormer is either woefully misinformed or a despicable liar.
While Rogan may not have used the Veterinary Product, the 2 people that died last month in the US, and thousands of people being admitted to hospital with toxic effects are getting the Veterinary version, and taking thousands of times the dose used to treat parasites. The inventors of Ivermectin (Nobel Prize winners for its development and treating millions with River Blindness) have stated as much themselves. Not apologising for CNN - they've obviously lost all credibility - but regular people hear this pseudoscience from people with an audience then do dangerous things like stated above.
@@TheGonzogibby CNN is the one spreading the confusion, calling the product that was proscribed by a doctor to Joe Rogan "horse dewormer". It is one thing when loan quacks spread pseudo science, but when the main stream news outlets like CNN also spread pseudo science who can you trust?
There weren’t thousands of people being admitted to hospitals from Ivermectin toxicity. You are part of the problem, please stop spreading lies.
@@TheGonzogibby Maybe we should offer people healthcare so they dont have to try to self medicate with veterinary medicine. Ok well, it is still people de-wormer and it does not do much of anything against a virus in concentrations that would be safe for a human. If Joe Rogan ate some undercooked meat or bad ceviche he may have reason to take this stuff but it is not for a virus.
Ryan is now pretending that he never said "horse dewormer", which he absolutely did.
It is a horse dewormer... Human versions of it are processed differently due to FDA regulations but it's still the same active ingredient invented for use on animals.
It was specifically Jim Acosta who said it first. CNN went to their main liar to spread the lie!
He was probably caught off guard because unless you're Mike Rowe or live in a third world country ivermectin is most commonly used as a horse dewormer... Or any livestock really...
@@religionisapoison2413 It was on most hospitals critical care regimine for critically ill covid patients early on in the pandemic... They then discovered, like most treatments, it is only effective if used before the critical stage of the disease meaning it wasn't very effectice at treating late stage covid. That doesn't change the fact that most hospitals were using it at one point. It is something that should be taken when you test positive for covid instead of administered once admitted to hospital then it will likely be too late to be effective.

And the NIH reports there is currently no data showing Ivermectin is an effective treatment of COVID-19. So Joe was smart enough to take the human version of Ivermectin that is neither an effective treatment for covid, nor FDA authorized or approved for. Great job Joe.

Joe Rogan should have invited Jon Stewart to have this discussion with Dr. Gupta.

Or, when conspiracy minded people get together and gang up on someone who actually knows what they talk about, this is the outcome. I'm an educator, and I deal with groups all the time that think they've "won" an argument because I ask people to slow down so I can address the points of several people, while several people together can all attack my one point from different angles. It doesn't make them right, but when it takes a while to address all the points, they lose focus and figure they've won. That's one way ignorance persists. Another is by listening to people like Rogan who make themselves appear to know what they're talking about by barely knowing a bit more than average, which is enough to convince most idiots. But not a doctor. They aren't as easily fooled as idiots. The very fact that they don't realize they are racing past so many important points just to make their uneducated, misinformed OPINIONS (not facts), should tell you something. I doubt it does.
@@gabrielford3473 The point was that CNN lied to besmirch Rogan, which Dr. Gupta finally had to admit. What's bizarre is that Dr. Gupta thought he'd get his book promoted on the show of someone that CNN lied about. He ended up hurting his own credibility. I'm not saying I disagree nor agree with all of Gupta's messages about COVID, but that's not the point of this "The Hill" video.
