  • Very few british boxers have fought (and won) as many world level fights as Amir. Massively underrated. Had the pleasure of meeting him at this gym and he was a really sound guy with time for everyone. Cheeky sense of humour.

  • Met him about over a month ago at tim Hortons/coldstone in Dubai, such a humble man and he took pictures with all of the employees, delivery guys and me and my cousins. Amount of respect I have for this man is unbelievable, Wish him the best.

  • Met this young man on many occasions in Dubai along with many other celebs in this mad city and he genuinely comes across a down to earth chap and always stops to say hello and asks how you are even if he is running late carrying bags of groceries...even had a little kick around with a football on the beach with him and shared a few jokes, none of the other celebs seem to have time for even a quick wave or respond to a hello

    • @@BozoEngland, just as simple as not being able to say no when someone probably older than you requests for something, just because you're doing it out of respect, and doing right by everybody. There will always be a cloud of judgement or some negative outcome against you should things not go their way. Khan even mentioned it on his show and The Overlap Xtra about how people wanted tickets to his fight, he gave it to them, then the next day, they were nowhere to be seen. You could see the emotion when he revealed that.

  • Honestly I’d never heard about his hand injury, just heard people slating him for not fighting. Amir was one of the first boxers I watched and me made me love boxing. I remember watching him knock somebody out on his birthday with my mom when I was like 8.

  • Khan brought entertainment, never in a boring fight. Someone was getting KO’d. He was fast, exciting and chinny. One of a kind, away from the standard European stand tall high guard we were used to. We won’t see a fighter like him from the UK for a while.

  • Love the fact that he said growing up in Bolton was brilliant and lovely. No racial abuse. All his white mates looked after him. All ive ever heard is its divided up north and people hate each other. The only racial abuse he mentioned was on social media. Nice to hear, and really nice to see him speak so highly of Bolton. It will make people there proud. Great interview by Neville, and great to see such humility from Khan. He will go up in peoples estimations after watching this.

  • One of the realist interviews I've ever seen. Was a top fighter who never ducked anyone. The hardest lesson to learn is when you realise some people take a person's kindness as weakness and take advantage. The bit he said right at the end especially cuts deep......
