Watch this iconic race as James Stewart goes from 14th to 1st in the 450 main event in Toronto from 2014.
Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, is the most competitive and highest-profile off-road motorcycle racing championship on the planet. Over 17 weeks between January through May and a million-dollar All-Star Race, Supercross attracts some of the largest and most impressive crowds inside the most recognizable and prestigious stadiums in North America to race in front of nearly one million live fans and broadcast to millions more worldwide. The track takes all the exciting obstacles of outdoor riding-jumps, turns, and bumps-amplifies them, and puts them in easy view of spectators.
Founded in America and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1974, Supercross is currently co-sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the official global governing body for motorcycle racing, thus making it a formal World Championship.

  • It was such an honor to grow up watching Stewart race. Honestly the most talented to ever do it, no debate necessary. Every night that riders struggled with a technical track, Stewart would shine. Always pushing the sport, always willing to push himself to either win or end up on the ground. Always left it all on the track. Untouchable.

  • JS7 Would have been king if the AMA didn't deflate his confidence in riding by suspending him for not disclosing he takes ritalin, do your research, after that he tried to get it back, believing in the sport he loved, but corporate politics killed his spirit. Hands down he would have SMASHED McGrath's records if that didnt happen. I look up to his perseverance, and his courage to tackle the odds, pulling triggers on jumps, changing the sport all on his own, the reason ALL of yall, and the pros became faster, on a dirt bike is because of this man, and he doesnt get enough credit. Standing ovation James, we know you changed the sport forever, and its your talent and skill that makes it fun to watch! Definitely my 101th time watching this!

The real goat RC has 76, Ryan Dungey has 39, Bob the Hurricane Hannah has 27, Ricky Johnson has 22 and then in 5th place you get JS with 20. • Like Jeff said, James is probably the most talented rider to ever put a leg over a bike. Didn’t win the most championships or anything maybe, but individual race wins, he definitely topped most everyone except for McGrath. He’s the only other rider, besides Carmichael, to go 24-0 in the outdoors. Speed, and talent wise, you just can’t debate him being the greatest. Did he crash some? Sure. Did he throw a race or a title away here, and there? Yeah. But nobody can go up against JS7 on speed and natural talent and beat him. Nobody.

There will never going to be another Bubba, no European nor Australian or American will have this style of riding. My next SX and MX idol is Ferrandis. Just wait and see how that dude is going to rip that 450cc. Compare both riding styles and Ferrandis throws that bike like if it was a Feather just like Stewart. I don't care if people dont like him, but he's the next superstar mark my words. No other guy has that raw speed, Just Tomac but he is getting old. Ferrandis is the next Stewart. Neither the best starters but when it comes to raw speed, fast laps, a great scrub show some insane whips and gnarly whoop speed Both Ferrandis and Stewart give amazing shows.
