Hey what's everyone johnnythegeek here and this is a review on the tenkeyless RGB Rapidfire K65 from Corsair.
These feature the exclusive (for now) Cherry MX Speed Switches. These switches have a silver colored stem and the actuation point is 1.2mm instead of 2mm on a standard Cherry MX Red switch.
According to Corsair, this makes the switch 40% faster than a standard red switch. The Cherry MX Speed switch is similar to the standard Cherry MX Red switch, but the only difference is the shorter travel distance to the actuation point.
For those who want to know the dimensions: 356mm x 166mm x 37mm
It weighs about 2 pounds without the wrist pad. and 2.25lbs with it.
As of the uploading of this video, I can only find the keyboard for purchase at Best Buy: j.mp/29GZkgG

Good Review, keep up the great work!
"Textured for your pleasure" I cant 😂 .
I have this keyboard and it is INSANE
I have the k65 lux. Bought it in 2014 and love it. It still looks and feels great. That m65 rgb pro on your desk was my first, "gaming" mouse. Its the worst mouse I've ever used. Weird shape and super heavy, even without the weights. Went to a g403 then an mm711 then to the Razer viper ultimate, which is my main mouse now.
what difference is between the lux version and the normal version
Is this better than lux version for gamming ?
What’s the difference between the k70 mk.2 and k65 rapidfire Is it just the number pad?
Mine is being delivered today and im so excited
Lucky
My wifes son still hasnt come yet lmao
Secret_ Menate do u have to plug both usbs in to use it or just one
@@chunky3654There is one that actually powers and lets you use the keyboard. And there is another for the USB located on the actual board. So no, you do not need both plugged in for it to work! :)
VIsIon Axphro how is it now ? Should I buy it ?
I've been using this keyboard for about 3 years now. My only complaints are the attachment points for the wrist rest are very cheap and flimsy. Mine broke and yours will too eventually. I ended up just gorilla taping it. Also typing on it kind of sucks -- it's just too sensitive. However, that's what makes it outstanding for gaming.
Does the Corsair Rapidfire RGB K65 have a horizontal rainbow effect?
I should’ve got this over the K63. M65 pro is amazing tho
Like the super effect in the end..lol
Good vid men!
good vid!!!!!!! keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!
Do you remember how long yours took to deliver by chance? Mine the estimated shipping date is 8 days after order which seems odd but I did other off corsairs site so idk
3 days
Cindomis why even reply
Cause i can lol
1 day with prime
has it been delivered yet?
is there actually any big difference between speed switches and red switches? i know there is but what i mean can u actually sees the difference but not in paper
no
Don't listen to that guy there is. Speeds are terrible for typing but great for gaming.
How can I save the lighting effects for my keyboard for bios mode (my ps4 basically) I used my friends computer to change the lighting and it worked but once I got home and plugged it in and turned on the bios mode for the ps4 it went to the original one it had and never actually got switched to the rainbow one I wanted
You Must set a rgb Mode in the Hardwarelightning category in ICue
The only difference between the k65 lux and this board are the switches, right?
K75?
i just bought me the k63 which is also compact but just has 1 color (red). Will buy this one for my other computer. This is a real nice keyboard. I like it that you can chose any color
Yeah, but after a while usually you stay with a static colour anyway. Btw, the K63 is a great board.
@@Reggy9 yes indeed. I also bought the K65 (60% off at Amazon, paid about the same for my K63). I love them both and indeed gave my k65 on a single color. I am no gamer, just like the fact that the keys are lit. Also bought 2 corsair mice :) have them in the same color. It is great one can control everything from the software. Only thing I do not really understand is that the macros, which you can define in the software, can only be assigned to a single key.
Are the keycaps ABS or PDT?
abs as far as i know
is it possible to remove the pad ( whats on the keyboard
yes
Speed switches aren’t exclusive to Corsair anymore
were
i just got this today and whew, neuron activator 2000000. I had a fkin membrane (corsair k55 rgb). btw i havent found out yet how to customize lighting
nvm you showed in the video, thanks g
Any software developer who have this keyboard and can tell me if it is recommended to code? :(
damn that cable is THICK
How i change colour on ps4 with this keyboard?
@@tacitzy2495 thank you so much
@@tacitzy2495 now i try😁
J a c k or you could leave it in your ps4 then press fn, then press a number and it changes colour profile
@@tacitzy2495 ok
J a c k did it work?
Can you take the wristrest off?
Lmao did u not watch the video?
No. When he took it off earlier in the video he actually broke it off
whats the website used to get those diffrent lighting effects
Metrik icue?
I’m petty sure you just have to install the Corsair software from a browser
why do people always type when checking the sound, we are gamers, we wanna hear the button mashin sound
Why are there two usbs?
watch the video dumbass
But keycaps for this price are shit. Same like this silver (what are even worst).
Don't you just love that noisy Rattling noisemaker spacebar - Pathetic that a big company like corsair cant supply screw in stabilizers and lube them to give the end user a great experience - 99% of ppl that haven't tried a custom built mechanical keyboard with lubed screw in stabilizers don't realize what a piece of junk the Corsair rattling stabilizers are - I love the keyboard but the stabilizers are shit - Period !!
