This video goes over the 1 month process of me turning cardboard boxes into an awesome Boba Fett costume. I estimate that over 100 hours went into this project, so it is no easy feat. If you enjoyed the video, subscribing would be greatly appreciated. More epic content in the works!

But lego have called it slave 1 in the past.

It almost looks too good and not made of cardboard when it is all finished up and I think people would be amazed even more seeing it is clearly cardboard and the skill involved in making it.

  • Really excellent homemade kit you've got here! I personally would have used a baggier sweatpant, to emulate the billowing effect that the trousers have to hang just slightly over the knees and fill out the lower portion of the kit with the black fabric. I would also recommend making some boot tops or gaiters for your lower leg, to hide the top edge of the boot you used as well as the bottom of the sweatpants. This is a really fantastic build, great work!

  • Great video, and fantastic build! I love ingenuity and passion. I remember making this entire armor and jetpack back when I was a kid and getting into cosplay. Cardboard, just as you, though I wish I had thought to add the wire support system as you did. I found blueprints for making the real stuff and printed them out and used them as templates for the cardboard. My favorites to build was the gauntlets and, of coarse, the jetpack. It was quite convincing and I still have all the parts, mostly intact, in a box. Gives me such a good feeling knowing I had the creativity and ingenuity to do all that back then without all the immediate resources of today. P.S. - By the way, I made it for my brother for a costume contest, which he won 1st place.

  • Wow. Some amazing artistry. I love the fact that you use cardboard which is throw away material for most. I also love the fact that this costume with all materials (just guessing) was probably less than 200$. If you're into cosplay and have some time on your hands it is well worth it to learn some of these techniques. I also love your descriptions and details you give your audience to help them along the way. The encouragement to take your time and keep practicing goes a long way. Excellent job. The finished product is awesome!!!
