That reset at the end was some Brazilian magic. Jeez
Lol came here to comment this. The fuck was that reset. He held his knee after cole shucked it over his head from double unders... if anything that was a verbal tap....
Tbh honest and realistiv cole probably didnt want to win without a sub . So it was in his interest to keeo the fught goin
I think he just conveniently got injured once he knew his guard was getting passed. What medical staff is going to let you go on unless you’re just buying yourself time.
No doubt he will be a bb world champion. The jiu-jitsu the AOJ guys are showing is insanely beautiful to watch.
The fact that this kid is friend and trains with Gordon Ryan and Danaher as well, shows that there is someone in his surrounding making very smart choices for him. AOJ for Gi Training and Danaher for No-Gi training, is there a better combination?
@@Kareem_Alcindor I think he was just visiting them, not training all his no-gi there
@@Kareem_Alcindor Yeah, Melqui for Gi and B-Team for No-Gi
@@radoslavtodorov6923 Melqui maybe but not for him, he already have a good relationship with Mendes so no one could be better for him, I don't think B team aligns with his style, at least not better than Danaher (my opinion).
Cole Abate, Tackett Bros, Ruotolo twins, Micah Galvao, Tainan Dalpra.........wow, Jiu Jitsu's future is secured!
Roberto Jimenez Nicky rod ,jay rod , Nicky Ryan as well
@@chokeeartist You're right!
its looking good ay
Love to hear him say: "I'll go back to fix mistakes" after such a run. The mindset and focus is strong.
Yeah also 💉 helps a lot 😂 Are we gonna act like all this happens with no further aids?
Bro having Rafa, thainan and Gui in your corner Is Crazy!!!
what about mason monsevais? smdh
I was going to say this. Imagine being as good as Cole already is PLUS having the cheat code of that cornering too. Incredible. Future of Jiu-jitsu is very exciting.
Amazing Run! Congrats Champ!🎉
The final showed that he is not 100% dominant, but he is not alone. Cole is the favorite to be champion in the brown belt in the Worlds, and in the black belt he will not have an easy life. Oss!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
He won't have an easy life with the classic IBJJF favouritism for Brazilian competitors
Are you kidding? The should have been dqed because of that fake knee injury
@@fubar1984 Everything he knows, who taught him was Brazilian.
@@Endodont That matters for points in competition? If you really want to trace lineage who taught Brazilians? Japanese people did. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is just Japanese Jiu-Jitsu with no strikes and poor takedowns.
@@88unstopable Is simple. Who training Cole? Period.
Cole you’re a inspiration bro
Matheus lutou demais!!! Voa meu mano
Congratulations!!! Very impressive!!!😁👍
Wow beautiful jiu jitsu
this is better than netflix, cole is a beast
Cole's dad is right, 3 refs and they let that stupid reset in a different position happen, wow 😮
What was the reset in the last match??? From flat turtle to de la roya?
A nice kid with a bright future. Great job!
With Meregali awesome content ! THANKS
i feel like making someone wear two belts gives and extra handle to their opponent. why not just take the brown off and wear the other one?
It feels like he could do the same at black belt already today
Outro diamante sendo lapidado pelos Mendes... chegando com tudo logo mais na Black belt....osssss SPZL
quem é Mendes?
@@doctormidia Rafael Mendes e Guilherme Mendes
A mentalidade deles é absolutamente inspiradora.
@@lukerodriguez7908 mais ainda bem q foram para fora ...aqui não ia ter tanto sucesso, realizações...aqui só o futebol e olhe lá
That transition at 4:24 good lord
🔥
Kid is a stud. Extremely mature and composed for his age.
What did he tap to at 10:01? Looks like Cole's arm passes underneath his arm...where is the choking pressure coming from?
Does anyone know how he got the third submission
Art of Daisy Fresh
Cole abate vs super guard player in final!!!!!
11:02 haha the look
Is there a significance to “round” or “square” medals? They showed round medals in the beginning of the vid, but the athletes got square medals. 🤔
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
12:18 lol classic ibjjf
A única coisa que falta para a AOJ é um logo bonito
Thumbnail says daisy fresh. i got baited :(
Heath, Dro and Couch snuck in at the end of the video lol
What are the requirements for him to be eligible to get a fast tracked black belt?
he just turned 18 and got his brown belt last month. he needs to hold the brown belt for a minimum of one year before getting his black belt per IBJJF guideline
9:09
Did he wrap his belt around twice? Shit is long as fuck. Dude is a killer though
His opponent in the final did well… need a little more offensive and he can do better against Cole
Why's the guy waving his finger lmao
Dont take roids Cole :D you are insane athlete!
Too late lol
@@ZachLeCatesBJJ why?
Got a slight "calasan" style about him in his presents on the mat, AOJ are (in my opinion) the best team right now taking kids from white belt and making them high level champions also with great values off the mats, its easy to take a person thats already an amazing athlete and competitor and tweek them to be slightly better but to tale a kid from a child to a man and make him a champion is very difficult.
E NAO PEGOU A PRETA
Judo is a highly detailed sport that wears a gi and not everyone understands the intricacies but when they have large events the places are packed. BJJ has to figure it out. This crowd makes no sense. And before someone comments about it being for brown belt the black belt division won't be much better. No Gi does better with crowds but it just doesn't add up when compared to Judo. I thought BJJ would grow and get to where Judo is as time went on but the opposite has happened and the crowds have gotten smaller.
judo is an olympic sport. also, judo is not nearly as complex as jj, throwing people around is something most people understand with no need to know the intricacies of the sport
why the heck was that guy allowed to keep fighting? since when can you stop the amtch cause your in pain, then decide nah im good lets start back from a better position?

is it me or does everyone who starts doing jiu jitsu or any sport where your dominantly around other cultures that you pick up there accent lol
His português is perfect and his accent is from Texas…not from Brazilians
I know he dominated, but would be nice to see more submission finishes.
He subbed 4/5
he finished 4/5 matches bro
He needs to take it to Meregali level 5 for 5 submissions!!
guys a sand bagger
why? because he dedicated his whole life to BJJ?
@@kenlam1051 he should be a black belt by now
@@robertjimenez5608 he just turned 18 year old and received his brown belt last month. He needs to hold the brown belt for a minimum of one year before getting his blackbelt per IBJJF guideline
