    • @@user-jv5vb6hs6f You realize not all athletes are like Lebron James and just in it for $$ $. Some athletes believe in loyalty and working through adversity to achieve their goals. Many players in the NHL have taken pay cuts to keep or get players on their team they want to play with or have taken cuts to stay on their current team. Something I doubt you’ll see as often if ever in the NBA, MLB or I doubt even in the NFL.

  • Not just McDavid the entire team has woken up. Bouchard is on a 13 game point streak Leon is looking pissy again which is good. The PK and PP numbers have improved big there teams back checking is great there overall defence is good now like someone flicked a switch. I don’t know how long this win streak will last but I’m kinda hoping they can make it 10 the record for the team is 9 in a row. Such a rollercoaster of a team.

  • The addition of one of the most offensive defence men ever to play the game to the coaching staff (Coffey) has done wonders to the back end. The defence are no longer standing on their own goal line trying to make hail mary two line passes on breakouts. They are now moving their feet and driving plays out of their own end utilizing team speed before teams can set up and defend. Woodcroft had them slowing down the play and setting up and Knob has them attacking.

They've fine tuned the messy d-zone coverage that got them into the hole they're in, but they aren't adjusting to teams that player perimeter. Once that gets exposed, it's trouble. They will need a plan for when this happens (likely mid-Jan).
