Honestly, to the team that put these videos together - well done and thank you. The quality of content we put out surrounding our clubs games is genuinely head and shoulders above anyone else, including the 'big clubs' of England (Man Utd's is laughable!). From 1965 (aged 7) I grew up living and working in Plaistow for 24 years - I started going to West Ham matches in 1967 and stopped going just before the premier league started, this squad of players is the most together and spirited I ve ever seen as former hardcore supporter and now just a armchair fan - COYI....we are massive!

Most enjoyable things about this game are seeing Lanzini get in the face of Reece James after scoring the penalty when he tried to put him off and the plastic Chelsea fans all leaving when we scored our third goal...sums up the difference between our support and theirs COYI

I'm a Liverpool who grew up in a household of Liverpool fans, but grew up close to relatively close to West Ham in Leytonstone so always look out for the results of Leyton Orient and West Ham because those close doing well help lift up the local community. So seeing West Ham beat Chelsea as a Liverpool fan was proper double bubble. Pun intended lol.
So why were these people in Leytonstone supporting Liverpool? Do they know what a bunch of scumbags the population and the club are?

I bet if your dad studied in Cardiff, he and you would not be supporting Cardiff City. These glory seekers tell all sorts of lies justifying the fact that they support a remote team just because they are always winning. Like our wonderful Mayor, says he supports Liverpool because London club's fans are racist. Yeah right. First time I went to Liverpool (1967) There was one black player in the whole first division called John Charles playing for West Ham. Those lovable scallies let out monkey chants from every part of the ground for the whole match. Not like most other grounds when it would be a few yobs behind the goal, from every part of the ground. Imagine being in his shoes? and how can scousers think they are better than anybody else, they are scum. Then there was that disgraceful support for Suarez in his racist tirades against Evra. Liverpool non racist, my arse. Then there was Idris Elba a Canning Town boy claiming he could not support West ham because of the racism. The fact that we were shit then and Arsenal were winning trophies had nothing too do with it of course. But at least he could go there every week.

I agree with your points in the main, I also find it borderline sacrilege to not support West Ham or Orient if you're from East London, and that glory hunter fans will come up with any excuse to reason their support of a club in a distant land when the answer is a more simple 'they're good, and my local team are pony'. I personally cannot for the life of me understand how someone can form a connection to a club that isn't where they are from, seeing as in my mind that's literally the whole point of it. But in this case, at least the original poster was being pleasant towards us so it is what it is. If everyone was a Hammer, we wouldn't be as special a club as we are, I suppose. I've seen that Elba quote before too, and it's always stuck with me as a load of bollocks, from someone who clearly just wanted to support the club that won all the time and play the victim with his rubbish about having a 'side eye' towards West Ham fans.
