I love that you’re considering the trash aspect of a no buy! It’s such a good point that wasting products not only hurts your wallet but also adds to landfills for no good reason. Also this is random but you kind of look like Julia Stiles circa 90s/early 2000s haha
My collection is starting to get older now, so I've been thinking about how to despose of my palettes. I'm seriously considering ripping them apart so I can recycle it all. Empty and clean any eyeshadow, depot and recycle the metal pans, recycle the cardboard. That way what I'm actually actively putting into landfill is very little.

Wow, yes. I read somewhere that cosmetic products give recycling companies the most headache as it is virtually impossible to get rid of or recycle them easily. What you'll be doing will help a little. Makes me so mad when ppl buy so much to then do declutter videos for views but what really happens to those products eventually? It all goes to the landfill, unrecycled.
I desperately need to go on a no buy the rest of this year and all of 2024. I found myself dipping into my credit card to buy things and now have debt related to beauty and fragrance. Not exorbitant debts, but it’s debt nonetheless. Love hearing you talk about this and seeing your commitment to your projects!

I could see highlighting PR as a separate video. I would explain the no buy and how PR fits into it. I would also add that it does help with the no buy. Doesn’t have to be long but it would likely deter those folks wanting to be negative. Hopefully you don’t have any of those folks ☺️

There’s a Reddit subreddit for people who post photos of their empty’s. I join years ago because I was also dealing with buying less make up. Is been 6 years and I have successfully reduce, but I still can really let my self go. However yesterday I walk into several drugstore and even Sephora and I only got a lipstain and eyeliner, bot where on my buying list.

Interesting, I had that Pacifica mascara on the go for 6 months. I had no problems with it drying out early.
I have only purchased replacements only this year except 3 loose duochrome singles

I mixed Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow with UOMA concealer and applied a sheer layer of that combo all over! Loved the way these paired for a light coverage look 🥰 you could get a similar look mixing any glowy primer with a full coverage concealer I’m sure! ✨
If you didn’t buy it and got in PR, than it can be shown as items coming into your collection…but ultimately it’s up to you. 😊
They definitely count as items coming into my collection 😊 just feel like chatting about not buying makeup might not be the right type of platform to “show off” PR if that makes sense. But I’ll share my recent items in an upcoming video for sure 😊
