  • Great video. My personal experience : for some heavies i actually drop gun rammer for example on bz 75 i use hardening, turbo , v stab. Same goes for 60tp where I need the speed but also to be able to hit my shots you do loose dpm but overall I enjoy more with these setups

  • Good list IMO. If people actually watch and listen they will hear you explain how it's an average over a whole class of tank not just specific ones. I already knew before looking at comments that people would be complaining about the IAU and grousers because they have niche use cases where they are better than another piece of equipment that you rated higher.

  • I Run Wear-Resistant Gun Laying Drive (+ Increased Shell Resistance on city maps) on my Obj. 268. Gun Laying Drive Has revolutionised the way I play the Obj. 268 and I have 3-marked it. You should try it before you criticise it.

    • I have experimented with many equipment setups for the Obj. 268 and have come to the conclusion that the combination of *Rammer, Vents, and Gun Laying Drive* works wonders (1st setup). Then, for city maps, close quarters, and aggressive playstyle, try Rammer, Hardening, and Gun Laying Drive (2nd setup). I urge you to at least test it out for a few games on your press account.

  • I dont agree on grousers, these boost your manouverability in enormous ways ... because your ground resistance is lowered, the effective bonus on turningspeed is even higher as numbers state outright. I use these on slow tanks with mobility slot, try it, feels right to me 🙂

    @Kapitaen_Flauschbart@Kapitaen_Flauschbart15 күн бұрын
    • The reason I don’t use grousers over turbo on most tanks is because of the top speed and reverse speed and because I use bounty/bond turbo. I might have underrated it a bit but for most tanks I still think turbo is better for the added top speeds.

      @darkninja___@darkninja___15 күн бұрын
    • @@darkninja___ Very good point, most of the time reverse speed buff counts more, agreed. Better yet grousers AND turbo ... plus adding 100 octane fuel if available, all this doubles the turning speed on some vehicles

      @Rollin5@Rollin515 күн бұрын
    • @@Rollin5 You can drop turbo on 60tp on one loadout but I’d always run it on one loadout. Sometimes I pick experimental. I do in HTs with bad module dmg (113/60tp/s conq) and exp turbo on tanks with bad bloom or turning speed.

  • would be better if you checked stats when you're unsure, instead of just saying something like 'I probably wouldn't drop vstab on obj 140' why? because you definitely want to drop it as it has 0.08 0.08 0.10 disp coef. Plus that tank desperately needs more modules hp as it constantly gets on fire having fuel in the front

    • I don’t think you ram people enough to make it worth it. On avg I won’t ram for more than like 400 damage per game which is a small percentage of damage I deal. Hardening also helps with reducing ram damage so I don’t think it’s worth an equipment slot.

  • So what turbo for JpE100? Bond or Exp turbo lvl 3?

    @kaiserchillhelm@kaiserchillhelm15 күн бұрын
    • Turbo vs exp, you trade a lot of horsepower and 1km/h for-/backwards. For Turret- / Tank- traverse and dispersion. So its mostly used on tanks, who need the top speed from the turbo, but would rather trade some horespower for gunhandling. Ive seen many bz`s and 50b´s using experimental in tournaments.

      @kaiserchillhelm@kaiserchillhelm14 күн бұрын
  • Not sure how bond vents can be on par with IAU, like 90% of tanks you gain 0.01 dispersion compared with vents, and lose 4% bonus on everything, thats almost half rammer or optics right there and you gain like 0.01 dispersion, which arguably is completely useless :D

    @durachoks@durachoks15 күн бұрын
    • I just go by percents because rounded numbers can be deceiving. Bond vents is around ~3.25% better accuracy, reload, and view range (and some small perk buffs on crew). I agree vents is generally better, but I still like it on some tanks that can run both (batchat) or tanks with super bad fully aimed accuracy or bloom (121 and 430u and TDs which can’t mount v stab, some cant run vents, and mino which cant rammer (among some others). You also need to ask if you are firing on reload often in the tank. When it comes down to it it’s mainly just whether you prefer the better accuracy or the better reload since those are the most important stats vents boosts. On a borrasque for example, I much prefer the better accuracy and reduced bloom penalties from IAU.

  • Equipment choice should be based on map, play style and specific tank. There is no correct way to recommend one set of equipment to one class of tank. That is just dumb and would only be useful for new players

    @fatnlazychinc@fatnlazychinc15 күн бұрын
    • I disagree completely. There are general trends that are always useful on most tanks, of different types and types of playstyle of which I mentioned many in the video. It’s not like you’re going to run anything other than what’s is in the top 3 rows in any of the tank classes shown 99% of the time. And the general trends I gave should be very helpful for new players especially. I run into even green/blue players running weird equipment choices which make no sense regularly.

      @darkninja___@darkninja___15 күн бұрын
    • @@darkninja___ should one set of equipment be used regardless of map? Would you run the same equipment set on leopard 1 for himmelsdorf versus prokhorovka? Would you use same set of equipment if you are the only medium tank with no light tank on the team, but the other instance you are on a team with three light tanks? What if you have two players, who is only comfortable staying back to snipe, while the other player is good at playing aggressive and trade shots? Should those two players use the same set to equipment?

      @fatnlazychinc@fatnlazychinc15 күн бұрын
    • @@fatnlazychincOf course map depends. I mentioned double sets of equip many times in the video. Look at top 4 equipment for meds. Rammer, v stab, vents/aiming unit, and hardening. You can just run 2 loadouts with rammer, v stab, then hardening for himmels and vents for open maps. That works fine, and would for all mediums that can mount rammer. And if it can’t mount rammer, I mentioned setups for autoloader meds in the video too. V stab vents aiming, which is good for all the auotloader meds too. The alternative that you are implying btw is to make an equipment guide on every tank in the game which would be a video lasting many hours. I think this is fine for a general guide and it’s just mainly a tier list anyways.

  • -8% to circle size is completly usless on any tank. If tank have good accuracy it will not help. If gun is shit.. it will not help as well. I test it on many diferent tanks - no any noticable diference. Its only maximum. If you have 0.35 or 0.33 there is no diference. Its only 2 cm per 100m. 10cm on 500m distance of maximum recoil..

I feel it in tanks with bad accuracy and bloom for sure, so I use it on 121, batchat, many TDs, etc. it is not my first choice for most tanks but on some it is not a bad choice.

    • The difference for 0.35 accuracy is 2.8cm, 14 cm at 500 m. That is not a small amount imo when aiming for weakspots. Even 400m or closer I can feel the difference. Try left vs right field mod on cs 63, you should easily feel a difference. I tried them both a lot and it’s a clear difference when sniping at small targets.

      @darkninja___@darkninja___15 күн бұрын
    • @@darkninja___ Dif for 0.35 is 2.8? Comparing with what you forgot to add. But ok. lest assume this 14 cm.. but its max. It doesnt change fact how often your tank shooting exactly in point where you aim. And if you think, that tanks have meters and that disepersion is a fake - because if you have 0.3 so from the point in 500m circle should have diameter 3meters. But when you aim in Maus, what is much much bigger.. you can still not hit even in the tank ;p Same as i stop using stability. Tank created by wg as "snapshooter" will be snapshoter anyway and other tank will snap when rng is on your side. That it. Game is so rng dependant that many bonuses gives nothing. I started new crew for 50b in future. Im doing it on somua - just 1 perk. Before had 6 perk crew on it, what belongs to m4. Completly i dont see any diference in accuracy.
