    • @@gilbertdickenitis4163 I don't need to tell that to MVP. Just look at Storley's face 😭 And for f*ck sake enough with that pathetic height excuse. It's a physical advantage like any other. Your either good enough to overcome it or you're not. The fact is you don't win a fight off of respect, you win by damaging your opponent not by tripping him up and laying on his lap for four rounds. If that's the type of "winners" you want maybe your better of watching wrestling and jujutsu competitions.

  • Y'all need to watch kickboxing. In mma it's the fighter's job to defend against all aspects of mma. I understand it isn't as exciting as an intense striking battle. But don't hate the player, hate the game.

    • I mean it isn't a wrestling or jujutsu Contest either. I understand having to defend against your opponents style but my issue is with the fact that Storley simply didn't damage Paige. MMA is a sport that emulates a real life fight, if I took someone down in real life and couldn't do damage to them I'm essentially just changing the height we're fighting at, nothing more. But you're right, it isn't Storley's fault, he's just following the rules of the game. I do think they shouldn't score takedowns and positions so highly if they don't result in meaningful damage though.

      @ronnz5844@ronnz58442 жыл бұрын
    • HE DID DEFEND THO… The wrestling is supposed to lead to positions where you are inflicting damage or attempting submissions… if you are TRYING to take someone down for 25 minutes and you can’t do that for 20 of the minutes, I’m sorry but you lost three fight… especially when the ONKY DAMAGE THAT WASNT DEFENDED AGAINST was MVPs striking…

      @blackphillip2264@blackphillip22642 жыл бұрын
    • Logan won the fight but I do believe MVP would've and should've won if he played the 5th like the 4th. You're statement works both ways. If MVP keeps it on thr feet (where he wanted) for 140 seconds. Then gets taken down for 160 seconds. If MVP landed 5 - 10 heavy strikes before the TD and Logan landed 0 punches than MVP wins that round. More damage and equal time where they wanted it. Logan did 0 damage, only control.

    • Scoring is based primarily on who was trying to finish the fight. It’s only scored on octagon control when all else is equal. For a number of those rounds, MVP was the only one landing anything that could potentially end the fight. Other than the first and fifth rounds, where Storley controlled for the entire round and didn’t receive any damage, I’d give the rest to MVP. He landed huge shots. Storley landed a few knees to the back of the legs. I don’t think MVP was in danger once during the fight.

How the red gave constant warning in the moment and after the rounds and never stood on what he said or what’s actually supposed to happen via the rules if someone is taking another down and they aren’t working/slash inflicting damage is sad. I’m all for taking someone down but just laying on top of them and not throwing punches consistently except maybe 3 minutes of the whole 25 minute fight is lame. • It is absolutely criminal that Storley didn't get a UD for that amazing performance, that the crowd booed him the whole time, and that the commentary team was so MVP-biased as Storley was winning the whole fight. This is MMA, not kickboxing. Wrestling is key in MMA and Storley proved it again. Storley isn't a tomato can for MVP to KO. And in the PFI, Storley undervalued his own amazing performance?? Why dude?? Be proud! I was so amazed with his performance the whole time - he handed MVP his ass on a platter on his home turf with some absolutely beautiful wrestling and grappling. The better fighter won. Storley deserves that belt 💯💯💯

  • Just stop the take down if you don't like to get "hugged". MVP has amazing stand up game. But if people say storley struggled trying to take MVP down. Imagine what a wrestler with real skill and ground and pound would do. Coker made this fight expecting a different out come. Look at the way he put the belt on and stomping off like a 12 year old who got his phone taken away.
