Exactly my words. 👍👍 Your channel, your house, your property, your videos.... your rules 🙂
Greetings from the southern United States! Maya, I have been watching your channel and the scope of the various projects that you have undertaken and completed. I am continuously amazed and impressed by your strong desire and work ethic throughout your wide array of different jobs related to your property there in Portugal! The old saying about work being 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration could not be any truer when watching you set your mind to something and seeing it through to completion! I thoroughly enjoy watching your visions become reality! Bless you and have a wonderful week!
Nashville right here..
"Necessity is the mother of invention" . Scaffolding worked well.
Keep going Maya. We all are very proud of you.
Thank you🥰
I've fallen from a scaffold before for about 15 feet. The fall isn't too bad, nor is the trip on the way down. The sudden stop at the bottom is when things start to hurt LOL
That is the best description of a fall I've ever read! LOL
I'm ex SAR/Civil Protection in UK and when I studied heights rescue my Commander used to say "Falling never does the damage, the sudden stop at the bottom does. " Higgest heights stuff ever done was 284' (17 floors) abseil to fund raise for London's Air Ambulance.
Necessity is the mother of invention! Genius. And through trial, we establish the learning of improved methods. We can not be too hard on ourselves for not knowing what we did not know before we learned. Very few on earth can and would do what you have done and are doing. I applaud you!
Hey Maya .. replant the yukkas, to close to fence wall.. in a couple years the base root ball will break wall x and as you have heap more work on houses ..get yourself a small scaffold..it will pay for its own in time
Hey there, you're an absolute rockstar! All that hard work, not giving a damn about safety rules, defying gravity, that's some hardcore stuff right there. I'm a grandpa myself, and I'm blown away by what you're doing without any prior experience. Amazing! The world needs more women like you. Keep crushing it!
Thanks for your encouragement 👐
When improvising wisely and taking your time to do the work it's not really dangerous on an improvised scaffolding. I grew up before safety harnesses were invented. Been there, done that! Enjoy the thrill! 😊
I built my own scaffolding from small trees a number of years ago. It was rock-solid.
@@fergusontea "It was rock solid" - Famous last words 😄 (joke)
I'm not 100% sure but perhaps you should take a lot of the lower leaves off the trees you planted. That way it can concentrate all its energy on producing roots and not feeding its leaves. I guess Google it to see if I'm even half right on that 😂
Yep and the trunks look stunning when the peaves are removed. Whether you have the time is another thing 😂 they'll fall off naturally anyway
Maya I watch you every week, you've grown so much since the start. Keep going girl ! You're inspiring
This is the best house renovation ever..love it🥰
yayyy thanks Nancy
Wow, you've got so much done. Great to see you and the land again 😊

Mya, must be an engineer or architect. I see how quickly you ' Madiver projects without difficulty. As a proud mother of 2 strong young women, it's great see your strength as well 😊
You do what you need to with the materials that you have. Your improvised scaffolding worked great!
Hola Maya no worries, some people climb Mount Everest if you do something wisely, a lot can be done
That would be another challenge! 😃🏔️
I don't know what I'm doing..... But somehow it all works out in the end 😊
It is fun watching your projects. You have done very well. there is a british guy restoring a castle ruin in central france, mostly by himself. It was burned down by a fire many years ago. you have a great spirit.
Love Dan and his chateau ❤
Thanks for posting and sharing Maya. I’m glad that your home made lime paint is working so well.
I love you! Your safety rope made me laugh out loud!!! Keep up the hard work!
Hiya Maya, Your home is coming together nicely, may I suggest that you fence in your vegetables as the deer may like a free munch lol. I would not like to see all your hard work go to the wild life, take care, love and blessings from Scotland.
Probably best to keep the water inlet pipe out of water with bubbles to prevent air getting sucked into your system.
Du bist mutig. Steh dazu! Ich find euer Baugerüst klasse. 👍
What an adventure, love your videos. Thanks
You did it, its finished, it looks good, and you survived.
What a beautiful awesome place you are building❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
You have such a strong work ethic Maya. It's the only way to get jobs done when you start from such a basic beginning. It will all come together because of your hard work.
You did so well with what you had, well done you work so hard
Hi you have so much wood to build scaffold, the eucalyptus trees, after the work they can provide you with heat , or a new pergola for the summer. Keep up the good work.

Tu casa se está viendo muy bella
Amazing Maya and an extended dance break! Incredible, big love to you and see you on the next one x
Maya your always entertaining to watch, dancing, singing and building, what more could we ask for. Great vlog. Maya plant some Aloe vera plants, they are great for healing burns, as well as sun burn and other skin irritations, just cut one off the stems and squeeze the sap, rub on affected area.💚
You are such a hard worker!
Your place is amazing. 👍🙂
Hey! You are doing an amazing job! Even had a rope! I mean looked for an hour now at your videos. It's amazing what you and your helpers do! Wish you all the best! 🎉❤
Mia took a calculated risk with her improvised scaffolding. Well done Mia you checked it and it was very sturdy. Go for it Girl.
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 I have been watching your channel since the beginning. I love watching your content 😊
Lovely progress! 👍🥰👍
I've just binge watched all your episodes & now I'm up to date. I have a shed which is my Mancave, very shabby. I'm thinking I might give the whole interior a makeover. Thanks for the inspiration young lady.
I agree Maya that extra coat of paint has made the walls look a lot better. Glad you made a start strengthening the down stairs walls. Just for your reference the weather in the UK has also been rubbish so you’re not on your own. Take care stay safe ❤❤❤
Get yourself propolis tincture from a beekeeper or pharmacy. That helps heel wounds and burns. You also can take it internally for colds - unless you aren't allergic to bee products. 13:00
It's cool today in Nashville, TN it was in the upper 70s a couple of days ago, 64°f today upper 70s for the next 7 days. It gets severely humid here in Tennessee during the. We get lots of rain all summer. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Hello Maya, I have missed you. But everyone deserves a holiday. All you do is effortless. I need you to send me some of your energy. Send it to Pa,USA. Love you.
Just an thought, maybe get yourself a decent roller, a few thick naps, an extendable long arm, & a 5 gallon bucket with a roll-off screen to hook onto the inside. You'll still have to mop-in some of the deeper crevasses with a brush.. but it'd go along a lot faster & you'll be able to reach a lot higher & further. Imo 😉 Best wishes! 🏡
Using a knappy roller to paint rough surfaces is fast, easy and does a better job than a brush imo. The white wash looks beautiful!
I was thinking the same. Thanks, Maya, for the fun videos! What you've done is amazing.
You remind me of myself 20 years ago....building, chopping and doing jobs I never thought possible....with a small child tagging along ...a single mum tackling anything that life threw my way. Somehow my enthusiasm has disappeared and it saddens me... watching you is slowly reigniting my willpower to get back and create again... build and live! Thank you❤
Sending power to you, Leonora! 🥳
Love all your work!

Maya, when you are celebrating-dancing is so cool! But I really wish I knew what the real song sounds like! Could you tell us in the discription, please?
Tea bags on any burns when it happens will stop the burn. I also put cold water
Rollers work so much better and faster full nap for rough walls. Well with normal paint not sure with lye
Maya I came across one of your videos and have worked my way through from the beginning. Im loving your channel, you have such a nice property and you have done amazing work in such a short time x
Thank You For Sharing Maya ! Watching from London reminded me soo much of my projects on my farm house in Africa
Yehey!🎉 new upload been checking your channel for new upload and finally 😊 thanks Maya you always made my day.. watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
Love you DIY,!!! That's not an earth rod, that's a copper tube. Copper oxidizes and then it loses its conductivity value or your grounding. This is therefore not allowed. Must always be a tinned solid pin. Good thing is you put it anywhere so just place a proper one somewhere else and connect with a correct thickness grounding cable. If you know somebody who can measure the conductivity that would be nice. It can make the difference of the earth leakage circuit breaker is working properly or not. A significant safety point.
Hello from the Barossa valley in South Australia, you are doing a great job 😊
Feel so good watch people solving them problems and even against any setback they choose be Happy, i can feel your soul guess why? :) Love your videos! Obrigado Princesa Feliz!
Hallo!
i am from uk and we have had alot of rain this spring but gradually having warmer sunnier days now
I love #dancing Maya! Again you are one amazing woman!😘
Great video as always. Well done on the progress and I LOVE the little car. 😊
Greetings from 🇬🇷 🇬🇷!!!!Another wonderful video!!!!
have finally caught up to you, have totally enjoyed watching your journey , loving the renovations & how you're keeping them as original as you can; I can't wait to see what you do with the bathroom, looks like it's going to be quite a big room; loving how you like to keep some of the stonework showing, lovely, can't wait for you to start on the next building hope you are keep the balcony & railings close to original too; they're a bit small for my liking but i guess they go with the houses; will you be putting a roof over the the tiny house you just completed? it would protect the door way a lot better & maybe help with the damp love that you keep it all real & in the moment those trees are Yakka, an African native but still very stunning looking forward to the next video, thanx for sharing
I love how inventive you are! The scaffold worked so well!
While i do agree with other comments that the amount you've got to do at height, it'd be worth looking at some proper scaffolding, what you had looked well built and you were aware of the risks. What scared me was using the ladder not fully extended - this is likely to move and topple you to the floor. Yes a less serious fall than from the scaffolding, but much more likely to happen because you don't seem to be aware of the danger.
Yucca have a huge bulbous root which will push your fence over. Give them plenty of room so this won't happen to you.
(Ram pump check it plse!) (Watching u frm Tahiti)
I think your scaffold was just fine. The thing I feel so sketch about is how that concrete balcony has zero support. I keep thinking one day you are going out there and thats the day the concrete fails. This is just me, I’d be cutting up my “scaffolding” and making bracing with it under my concrete balcony. Cheers
From what I remember the concrete pad of the balcony extends via the doorway into the house sub floor to counter balance the balcony so is structurally strong
🇬🇧 Please take care of yourself around heights! You are too lovely and adorable to damage yourself.
High nap on a roller would do the job, or sprayer would've been a lot faster.
Hello Maya. Greetings from Port ELIZABETH, Summerstrand ,Gqeberha, South Africa. 😊
Maya you are a superstar😊 ❤❤
Maya you’re a great dancer 😊
I love your videos! Great job, once again!
