"Under the sea" is by definition underneath the surface of the sea. Hence why the definition of the adjective "undersea" is: Beneath the surface of the sea. You did achieve the challenge! But doing it literally is icing on the cake.
I can just imagine how anxious you all were worrying about getting caught by the guards and having to pay a $1000 fine each. All that aside, you played an astonishing performance! Cant wait to see more of this in the future!
If only they'd read the next line, they'd realise that playing an instrument is only disallowed in the context of annoying another person (or disrupting the tunnel's communications). Besides, if they had been caught, honestly the most likely bad outcome is a guard telling them to stop. Fun video though!

Bloody brilliantly done, sir! I do have to point out though that you were never in any real danger of your "cover story" being blown. If questioned about why you turned back so soon, all you had to say was "The Christmas Market is shut and nobody told us." As the son of a pro musician, I know well that breakdowns in communication happen all the time; and that's in the same state in America, I can only imagine the issues that could arise when crossing borders and language barriers, not to mention timezones. It's entirely believable that your band really was booked to play the Christmas Market, but the market shut on account of the rain, but nobody thought to call you to cancel, or called too late when you were already on the train. So naturally you'd turn up none the wiser that your gig had been rained out. As for the train guards stopping you, I have to wonder how seriously that law is taken as to the outside observer it seems pretty silly. I guess as long as the song isn't especially provocative, like blasting a national anthem or patriotic song, or playing the anthem of a rival football club on match day, then it's probably up to the guard's discretion if they stop you or not. The only other reason I could see it being against the rules would be in the event of an emergency stop, not wanting a bunch of yobbos with horns flung forward as the train comes to a sudden halt. Either way, probably more a safety thing than breaking international law. That, and the ever present "If somebody complains". So I'd guess if the guards didn't come to stop you or write you up afterwards, you're fine.

Even though you make these good points, I can still feel my stomach clenching just feeling as if Joe did something worthy of death cuz that's how I'd feel
Honestly, at first I figured it could be due to sound just bouncing off too much in the tunnel causing possible structural issues, but that seems unlikely now that I saw how it operates.

Conveniently a sentence down we can see that it is only disallowed if you disturb passengers or if you disrupt communications, which they did not do here
