Being over detailed is my jam, lol. It's one of the things I love about your channel. You are always very clear about the tiny details!
Same.💗
"It's just me being me" = and please never stop being you- I love your videos!
At 12:56 when Nik says "Where's my- oh." I felt that to my brains' core😭
OMG THE RIBBON LIFT IS GENIUS. I've solved my book box problem!
Mitered corners are a thing of beauty. We all know we can Sense Them even when they're out of sight! 😁
Have you ever made one of those boxes that actually look like a book? Would like it very much if you did a tutorial on that. Have been watching a lot of different ones but I would like to defer to you as you are as precise as I am. Thank you so much for all of your videos they are fantastic! Keep on going!
Nik, you're a veritable genius! From the unnecessary (but totally necessary) mitered corners, using wrapping paper to decorate the sides of the box, to the ribbon lift, I was/am in awe of all the little tricks I learned in this video. Thanks for an awesome project idea!
I am a lurker on your channel and rarely comment. But I need to tell you how brilliant you are! ✨️❤️ Thank you for sharing your incredible projects!
Another great project. Really useful if you have an embellished cover on your book that could be damaged rubbing on neighboring books when you take it off the shelf.
That's a good one, I hadn't thought of that!
Nik… one video a week is not cutting it for me anymore. Seriously, you need to do a weekly live video or something. Just turn on the camera while you work, doesn’t even need to be edited. Just a live Nik rambler. We needs it, man. We needs the “welcome back welcome back” more often.
Liking the video before I even watch it because I know it’s going to be great! I always do a little happy dance (not literally, just in my head) when I see a new video pop up!
Just as so many stated, love the “over detail” one of the many reasons I love your channel 💕
Years ago I worked in the book repair department at my university and we sometimes made boxes… this process seems SO much easier than what I remember!
Nik...I love your detailed videos! "Just me being me" shows you really are a dedicated Booksmith where details are important! Those book boxes are as beautiful as they are useful.🤗😍
How wonderful...I have collected boxes of various types all my life. Not a huge collection but now, hey sky's the limit. Thanks Nik!
I always thought I wasn't interested in box building, but after seeing this, I at least have to try it. Your lovely book is very deserving of the beautiful box.
You make everything you do look so easy, I have been looking for a book box tutorial for ages, I handmade books for my grandkids Xmas presents so this is just what I needed, thank Nick x
Fab! I can see so many uses for a sturdy box like that. It could also make a fairly mundane book gift look extra special couldn’t it. I pleased to hear your voice sounding much better - hope that reflects how you feel!
I normally don't comment on videos, but this tutorial is awesome! I have several old books that I would like to protect and this seems like a great way of doing that!! Thank You!!!
Hallelujah❣️ Your video was just the cure that I needed after a rough day 💗 Those book boxes are beyond beautiful.
I think this would be a great gift for a kindle owner…

You’ve got some magic fingers Nik ❣️😁
I made a box for a huge old Bible and it was a nightmare! I wish I had used tape. I had glue everywhere since I had no idea what I was doing. I think your instructions were SO much easier than any I saw! THANK YOU!! I might actually try making another box for a different book.

Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
Love, love this!!! I was wowed by your attention to detail when you lined the last stripe of chipboard to compensate for the space between the spine and the box. This kind of experience is priceless!!! Thanks for your generosity!
Brilliant, Nik!! You make it so easy for us to do our own. It would make a good ephemera box too. Thankyou!
Great tutorial. I love your wrapping paper. It looks like it's heavy paper, almost a wallpaper weight. Beautiful boxes. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful tutorial! I really enjoy your videos, and this one in particular I found to be extra appealing AND I learned at least a dozen great tips and tricks :) Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I've been looking do a box to fit some cross stitch patterns I have and this is going to be perfect 🥰
Another beautiful project!! I love it!! I got a new Bible and it came in a box it has that ribbon in the center back does really help to get the book out of the case.
You're a gem 💎
I admire your talent..
I love how the book box turned out. I would need some practice as I am not as exact. It is a lovely way to keep a book.
Thank you for showing how to make this. Always wanted to know. I will try to see if i can make one.
Wow!! Loved this. This is the first time I've followed you and I'll definitely be back 😊
Absolutely gorgeous. Your work is always so precise and professional. You make it look so easy and I ALWAYS learn so much from you even if it’s not a project I plan to do. Thank you so much.
