Yellowstone National Park is a huge area. It spans almost 3,500 miles or 5,600 km across the state of Wyoming, and extends into parts of both Montana and Idaho. Established in 1872, it’s America’s first national park and to this day it also remains one of the largest and most popular ones in the country. In fact, Yellowstone sits on top of a dormant volcano and is home to more hydrothermal features than anywhere else on earth. On top of that, the park is home to diverse landscapes and activities. From lush valleys with an abundance of wildlife, to spectacular canyons and waterfalls you can hike to, deep lakes, and rivers for fishing. In this video, we highlight 10 of the best things to do in the park.
10. Watch The Famous Old Faithful
☑️ Go to go.nps.gov/geysertimes or @GeyserNPS Twitter Feed to check eruption times.
9. Drive through Hayden Valley
8. Visit Grand Prismatic Spring
7. Hike To Grand Prismatic Overlook + The Fairy Falls

  • It is undoubtedly a majestic place. I love planet Earth and it is not my intention to offend anyone. If not, talk about a sad feeling I have. I feel that very soon a catastrophe may begin there, in that paradise. It makes me very sad and I need to know if anyone resonates more with this. I read about a prediction for 2023 and the visions I had told me that very soon there will be volcanic activity there. I pray to God that this is not the case and that he protects every living being in that area and the entire world of course. If anyone resonates with this or has more information please let me know. Thank you very much and I send you a hug of light ✨🌎🌱🙌✨

  • I managed to visit quite a few of the amazing national parks in the US a few years back. Well prior to our own KZhead "career". I still never managed to visit Yellowstone. It is still very high up on our list and the title picture already captures why...

    @HikeForHappiness@HikeForHappiness10 ай бұрын
    • It is 100% worth it, I only have a few recommendations. A: Go either early in the visitor year (May) or late in the year (Very late August - Early September). The Later option is in my opinion is better even though there may be more crowds because it won't be as snowy and there tends to be more geyser/animal activity. Also, while there I would recommend going to every location you can find that may be interesting because those will likely be the most magical moments. Finally, and most importantly, you will FOR SURE want to spend far more time at each location than you would usually think. For example I would recommend 1 full day for Old faithful and the boardwalks around it ALONE. This is because the people who run through it tend to see relatively few things because a lot of the geysers only erupt once per day.

    • @@castamere3368 Thank you for the tips. I am quite sure taking more time expected is quite true for so many places. In Iceland, where we got to experience a geysir, luckily it erupts once every three minutes or so. So you can actuallay stay and watch many of them. But in total, the time was always a limiting factor and we wished we could have explored more.

      @HikeForHappiness@HikeForHappiness10 ай бұрын

There are definitely crowds, mainly around the main attractions like the Old Faithful geyser.
